POPSResponding to modern Marxism Every single Democrat in the current majority, including Barack Obama, swore an oath to "preserve, protect and defend" the Constitution. Yet, they absolutely ignore the limitation of power set forth in Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution. None of the 17 powers enumerated there authorizes the current health-care bills or the cap-and-trade bill, or the bailout, or the stimulus package – all recently passed by the House of Representatives. When asked by a reporter to identify the constitutional authority for the current health-care bills, Sen. Patrick Leahy said: "We have plenty of authority, why would you say we don't have authority?" Speaker Nancy Pelosi's reply to the same question was: "Are you serious? Are you serious?" Obviously, neither one is "preserving, protecting or defending" the Constitution when they ignore its limitation of congressional power.

POPSShut Up or We'll Shut You Down No longer able to sit idly by while the President and his chief minion in the House amateurishly try to revamp one-sixth of the U.S. economy, the health insurance industry released a study they commissioned that analyzes the costs of the Obama-Pelosi plan. The results are quite sobering. The study shows that "between 2010 and 2019 the cumulative increases in the cost of a typical family policy under this reform proposal will be approximately $20,700 more than it would be under the current system." (Emphasis mine.)

POPSSwat Team for Change Upon hearing the disturbing news, America's ''Swat Team for Change"--President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid--immediately convened an emergency meeting in the basement of the White House to discuss this new economic catastrophe and to develop an effective counter strategy. A ''War room" was set up to meet the challenge that could destroy the Obama presidency. Speaker Pelosi was quoted as saying, "Living to be 78 is un-American! Old people are doing this because they are racists who hate our black president!" Harry Reid was a tad more optimistic when he said, "This war is NOT lost. America needs a surge in the mortality rate among people aged 55-78, and we intend to implement such a surge in bill 3200." President Obama was shooting hoops and not available for comment.

POPSDon't Tread on U.S. Do they mean Code Pink which never missed an opportunity to bash the military and our “terrorist” former president? How about ACORN whose tactics have earned that organization indictments–and convictions? How about the New Black Panther Party whose attempt to intimidate voters in Philadelphia was referred to the Justice Dept.–which inexplicably dropped the case? How about MoveOn.org which called General Petraeus General “Betrayus” for “crime” of dedicating his life to protecting America? And who can possibly forget the countless number of left-wing college students on campuses across the country who have intimidated, harassed–and attacked–conservative speakers daring to exercise their First Amendment rights? Hypocrites one and all, but they pale in comparison to an administration headed by a former community organizer not only denigrating community organizing, but creating a website, flag@whitehouse.gov for Americans who wish to rat out their fellow Americans f

POPSPelosi Calls Health Care Critics 'Un-American' "I, like most Americans, would find that kind of characterization of citizens exercising their First Amendment rights to be offensive," Rep. Mike Pence, R-Ind., told FOX News. "There's nothing more American than letting your elected representatives know how you feel about important issues facing the nation." House Republican Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, released a statement calling the charge "outrageous and reprehensible." Pelosi and Hoyer made the accusation as part of a lengthy column in USA Today stressing the need for action on health care reform. The piece was published as lawmakers return to their districts for summer recess, a period that could imperil the legislation if health care critics cause moderate Democrats to lose their stomachs for sweeping reform.

POPSCongressional Democrats do talk & spend period It would take almost $16,000 more from every household in America to balance the budget just this year. To grab this money from top income-bracket earners, according to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), we’d have to hike their tax rates to between 80% and 90%. The CBO noted earlier this year in its budget report that “ igh tax rates would slow the growth of the economy, making the spending burden harder to bear.” Like kids, Congress can break anything if they mess with it long enough.

POPSDemocrats Continue to Protect ACORN
ACORN and its estimated 270 corporate affiliates comprise a complex organizational and financial spiderweb with all the appearance of a criminal enterprise. ACORN is facing charges of voter fraud and tax violations, yet it has received over $53 million in taxpayer funds. Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank and his liberal friends have opened the taxpayers’ wallet to as much as an additional $8.5 billion that could be accessed by ACORN. The interlocking financial connections between ACORN and its affiliate organizations are ripe with waste, fraud and abuse, yet ACORN has never been investigated because it is protected by its cronies in Congress. President Obama, a former ACORN employee, has hired ACORN to “partner” with the Census Bureau to complete the 2010 census. Justice demands that Congress cut off ACORN’s access to taxpayer dollars and put an immediate end to ACORN’s involvement in the 2010 census, but Democrats refuse to allow a vote, let alone cut off ACORN’

POPSInheriting $4.8 Trillion Will Leave You Broke
The issue of inheritance is a bit muddy. President George W. Bush and the Republicans controlled all of the branches of government until the 2006 midterm elections. In 2007, the Democrats began their reign in both the House and the Senate. Policies adopted prior to 2007 could reasonably be dubbed an inheritance. Policies that changed thereafter could not. There is an easy way, therefore, to establish how much of the current budget mess is accurately referred to as an inheritance. Just as Nancy Pelosi was taking over as House Speaker, the Congressional Budget Office made a long-run budget forecast. That forecast established the Democrats’ inheritance. If we compare the current outlook to that one, then we can identify the impact of Democratic policies, and accurately assess the blame. While doing so, we need to remember that Bush shares in that blame, since he signed into law the bills passed by the Democratic Congress. To be fair, it is important to note that a big part of

POPSNancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, and Democrats are Clueless This is the old time line of Pelosi & Frank denying any complicity in Fannie & Freddie but clearly shows they are lying SOBs. The Dems stonewalled Republican efforts to get regulation but were denied and ridiculed by Democrats for even suggesting Freddie or Fannie may have been a problem.

POPSObama, Congress Again Push Amnesty for Illegal Aliens The U.S. House's judiciary committee also plans to hold a hearing next month on the allegations against Arpaio. "The Obama Administration and members of the US Congress are conspiring to stop and silence those in law enforcement who do not share their liberal viewpoint regarding illegal aliens. Don't be surprised to see American citizens as well being dragged into courtrooms because they oppose illegal aliens being given amnesty," warns Det. Frances. "These liberal-left fanatics want to replace American citizens -- who won't buy their ideology -- with Third-World peoples who don't even understand what's happening to this country," he said.

POPSEarmarks of Scandal There’s plenty of questions to answer. The firm was led by Paul Magliocchetti, a former appropriations staffer and Murtha protégé who wined and dined his former bosses and comrades with abandon. These raucous dinners and big expense-account tabs should be vetted for ethics violations. Of course, it didn’t stop with steaks and fine wines. PMA funneled more than $40 million in donations to members of Congress since 1998, including $2.4 million to Mr. Murtha and $7.8 million to members of his committee. Congress, in turn, rewarded PMA clients with rarely debated earmarks. Last year, the firm was able to marshal more than 100 lawmakers to earmark $300 million in contracts for the lobbyist’s clients. Ms. Pelosi cannot ignore this sorry churn of taxpayer money. Newcomers and moderates are right in warning that if the House majority doesn’t police itself, it will lose credibility all the way to the next election.

POPSWhy Is Rick Wagoner Fired and Nancy Pelosi Still Working? Just off the top of my head, how about Barney Frank, Chris Dodd and everybody at the Department of Education? How about firing all the former Weathermen, like Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn and Mark Rudd, whose university salaries are subsidized by the taxpayer? Nearly every university in the country accepts government money. Is there any industry in America more in need of some "restructuring" than academia? What's Berkeley's "business plan" to stop turning out graduates who hate America?

POPSNo new cabinet post The Boss of the House will be happy. Maybe her 200,000 mile chariot will be eligible for a handout. If not, maybe she can get it on government disability. Half the people I know are. Just how much money does that top five percent of taxpayers have, anyhow? Can I have their names and addresses so I can send them a thank you note for all they are paying? They must really be excited to be able to support all us other folks - after all, to paraphrase the Good Book, it is more blessed to give so that the rest of us can receive.

POPSPelosi gets votes family style Before slipping out of the room for a meeting down the hall with Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, Pelosi delivered a stern warning: Iron out your disagreements, come up with a bill that all Democrats can support, and I’ll push the White House on whatever you produce. yeah, reminiscent of the Manson Family!

POPSEnd the Bailouts and Protect Capitalism Earlier this month, Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) forced a vote on the elimination of Congress’s automatic annual pay raises. After some political gamesmanship, the Senate tabled his amendment. Last week, though, senators rethought their opposition and passed Vitter’s bill by voice vote. Taxpayers cannot claim victory yet, though -- House leaders seem disinclined to take up the measure. Somehow I can picture Pelosi speaking to Reid about this, behind closed doors of course.

POPSSocialism is a philosophy of failure Can you imagine back in the Bad-Old-Days when we endured Bush’s outrageous 400 billion dollar deficits the uproar that would’ve ensued if it had been revealed Carl Rove held daily conference calls with Rush, O’Reilly, Hannnity and Beck? Can you imagine the charges of conspiracy and collusion that would’ve worn us out in the 24 hour news cycle? Just imagine the outrage of the fairness police, Pelosi, Reid, Frank and Dodd. The gnashing of teeth and the howls of injustice would’ve been enough to convince anyone with ears that blessed freedom itself was in danger of descending into cruel despotism.

POPSCongress owes more than blatant hypocrisy Frank, Dodd, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Sen. Chuck Schumer could not be more sanctimonious in blaming the Bush administration for lack of regulations. Starting with the Community Redevelopment Act during the Carter administration, Democrats have chipped away at every regulation standing in the way of giving mortgages to people who could never afford to repay them. It turns out that these worthless mortgages are the root cause of our economic problems.

POPSPelosi's pitchfork - broomstick would be more like it. Only recently, after all, the House and Senate approved bonus limits that had the effect of exempting the AIG payments. Both bodies okayed the exemption at the request of the Obama administration. Connecticut Sen. Christopher Dodd carried the ball - and damn if his career isn't going up in flames.

POPSS.F. pushes hard for big slice of stimulus cash City officials are looking to carve out a piece of the $7.2 billion in the stimulus package for broadband access to extend service to underserved areas, such as Bayview-Hunters Point. San Francisco also is seeking a slice of the $19 billion in the plan to modernize medical records, which could help in the city's efforts to offer universal health coverage. Muni is expecting to get $67 million from the package in formula funds, which it plans to use to repair its motor coaches ($16 million) and light rail fleet ($33 million) and buy new ticket vending machines ($11 million.) I'm sure that all sits well with all the other insignificant states in the Union Madame Speaker! Bailout the most irresponsible state in the country, billions in deficit due to idiots in charge.

POPSPelosi Says May Need to Fund Another Stimulus Still, all four told lawmakers that there is a high probability that more money will be needed later this year to stabilize the banking system and, perhaps, to stimulate economic activity more generally. "Policymakers need to do more. I don't think we're done," said Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody's Economy.com, who has been advising House Democrats. "I think another stimulus package is a reasonable probability, given the way things are going. I think more money for financial stability to shore up the banking system is likely. That's very likely. And I think more money for foreclosure mitigation may also be necessary at the end of the day." The lunacy is un-ending!

POPSI, just as Rush Limbaugh, hope President Obama fails in his liberal agenda Many Americans don’t seem to be able to separate the good things from the bad. It’s not that he is a black man; he’s just as white as he is black. It’s because conservative-thinking people believe in a completely different set of values based on the moral, ethical and logical thing to do. Rush is not alone in this conservative fight for personal freedom; there are many of us out here who long for our country to once again be the standard for freedom and morality to the world. The drift toward liberal thinking has pulled America ever closer to socialism, and we have sat idly by and voted for it. What has happened to the populous that they allow almost anything?

POPSPelosi says tax rebate unlikely before Bush leaves I just hope Pelosi is packing her bags too come January. GWB approval - 28% Congress - 9% Is it any wonder the country's in the toilet? What's another 61 billion? or another, or another, these idiots are mighty free with our money.

POPSCongress approval rating just 10% "A political establishment held in higher regard may have been able to hold together some kind of coalition of the willing," wrote Joel Achenbach in the Washington Post. "But distrust of the nation's leaders, from the leaders of Congress to the president, foreclosed that possibility." This was not mere rhetoric. Congress's public approval rating was down to 18% before the crisis hit. By some estimates, it is now 10% and falling. Washington has seen a "throw the bums out" mood before, notably Newt Gingrich's 1994 anti-government "Republican revolution". But this is something else. Like some others, Gingrich is calling for the resignation of Hank Paulson, the treasury secretary, for presiding over a train wreck and then failing to persuade people why $700bn was needed to get back on the rails.

POPSChange We Can Believe In At last it came time to bake the bread. 'Who will help me bake the bread?', asked the little red hen. 'That would be overtime for me' said the cow. 'I'd lose my welfare benefits,' said the duck. 'I'm a dropout and never learned how,' said the pig. 'If I'm to be the only helper, that's discrimination, ' said the goose. 'Then I will do it by myself,' said the little red hen. She baked five loaves and held them up for all of her neighbors to see. They wanted some and in fact, demanded a share. But the little red hen said, 'No, I shall eat all five loaves.' 'Excess profits!' cried the cow. (Nancy Pelosi) 'Capitalist leech!' screamed the duck. (Barbara Boxer) 'I demand equal rights!' yelled the goose. (Jesse Jackson) The pig just grunted in disdain. (Ted Kennedy)

POPSObama Is A Phony And A Socialist!
his adviser Professor Cornell West, who calls himself a "progressive socialist" and is a close associate and admirer of tyrant Hugo Chavez; his "moral compass" and campaign adviser, Father Michael "hate whitey" Pfleger; adviser Robert Malley who resigned after it was reporting he was meeting with the terrorist group Hamas; and fundraiser Jodie Evans, another admirer of Chavez, who asked, "Why is being a communist anti-American?" Sen. Obama was greatly influenced by radical community organizer, Saul Alinsky, for whom "change" met radical socialism and the redistribution of wealth, and who preached the end justifies the means and ethics shouldn't get in the way of effective community organization. Obama early on went for Marxist professors when in college and even before that one of his mentors was a communist poet and journalist, Frank Marshall Davis. Remember if Obama gets the White House he will have a rubber-stamping Congress headed by Sen. Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. With a veto

POPSPelosi and her fellow totalitarians Totalitarianism is total political power by the state, and comprises a society in which the ideology of the state has influence and power over most of its citizens. Totalitarians attempt to mold the private life, the soul, the spirit, and the mores of citizens to a dominant ideology. Pelosi and her like-minded ideologues do this, of course, through every means at hand, including in Pelosi’s case the manipulation of House rules so that such things as a vote on off-shore drilling never see the light of day — or democracy.

POPSWishy-Washy Pelosi This is, shall we say, intriguing, since Pelosi and her party have been until recently reaching new heights of sanctimony on the issue of torture and waterboarding. There “was no objecting, no hand-wringing,” an official who was there told the Washington Post. “The attitude was, ‘We don’t care what you do to those guys as long as you get the information you need to protect the American people.’” Not only did Pelosi not offer a peep of protest, the Washington Post reports that at least two lawmakers (out of only a few present) pressed the administration about whether the methods were “tough enough” to get the job done. Either Pelosi asked the question herself, or she sat quietly while one of her colleagues inquired whether the screws were being turned tightly enough.
