POPSThe Good War....well I didn't really vote for it. The war in Afghanistan was originally conceived as a necessary war after nearly 3,000 Americans lost their lives in an attack planned there, so rooting out the Taliban supporters of al-Qaida was viewed as justified. Now, however, some Americans have changed their minds. Any wonder? The liberals have never had the stomach for war. No, they do not believe in fighting for a cause unless it only involves a local protest with chants and signs against the evil capitalistic pigs that reside right here at home. So why should Afghanistan be any different? It is not so expect the expected, total surrender and withdrawal soon.

POPSShell partners with Chinese for Iraq oil bid But the left said the Iraq war was about it's oil???? If Bush started the Iraq War to gain it's wealth of oil - then Reid was right - we lost. Just another lunacy contrived in the minds of the left as Bush's justification in overthrowing Saddam.

POPSIraqi mom ridicules cops over suicide bombings Her interrogator confronts her about a letter the Iraqi police say they uncovered on the raid on her home. The letter is addressed to "Umm Omar" from the local al Qaeda emir Abu Dawood. "Good news for you my sister, Umm Omar," it says. "Your sister Fatima became a martyr after an operation in Mafraq district, and God enabled her to carry out this blessed operation. "Know that she did not hesitate in confronting the infidels and tyranny. We pray to God that you follow her in God's course. We inform you, Umm Omar, that this letter is very confidential." Umm Omar shrugs it off. "I cannot read, so why would he send this to me?" She goes by the name of Umm Omar. In the Middle East, Umm -- means mother -- followed by the eldest son's name, in her case Omar. She says the Umm Omar reference could be just about any woman in Iraq. Her profile fits that of other women who have carried out suicide attacks.

POPSIf a Liberal Calls a Black Man Inexperienced, Is It Still Racist? Obama: I’m Right Even When I’m Wrong Pastor Warren asked the candidates “What’s the most gut-wrenching decision you’ve ever had to make and what was the process you used to make it?” Obama answered that it was his decision to oppose the war in Iraq. He said, “I was firmly convinced at the time that we did not have strong evidence of weapons of mass destruction…” Steve Gilbert of Sweetness & Light points out that Iraq’s supposed lack of WMDs was not the reason he gave in his speech on the Illinois Senate floor in 2002. At that time, Obama acknowledged that Saddam Hussein has WMDs. He said, “He has repeatedly defied UN resolutions, thwarted UN inspection teams, developed chemical and biological weapons, and coveted nuclear capacity.”

POPSIsrael Will Act to Prevent a Nuclear Iran Iraq would become increasingly destabilized and the existence of the state of Israel will be directly threatened. Consider that, for many years, Iran has made no secret of its dubious long-term intentions. Israel's destruction has long been its fundamental objective. The multi-year international crisis with Iran is nearing its conclusion. Several months from now, Iran will have successfully achieved the capability to produce a nuclear weapon. Sadly, international diplomacy and an ineffective United Nations will not deter Iran from its nuclear ambition. The result is that the world is well on the path to another international military confrontation. Indeed, the ongoing threats from Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad appear to leave Israel very little choice. In the next six months, Israel will act to prevent a nuclear Iran.

POPSPetraeus says Iran still training Iraq militants The commander of US forces in Iraq said on Wednesday that Iran was continuing to train militants despite Tehran's pledge to cut all support for the insurgency. General David Petraeus said he was uncertain if supplies of weapons flowing into Iraq from Iran was decreasing, but said that Iranian training of militants posed a serious threat to Iraq's stability. Asked whether Iran had stopped the flow of money and weapons into Iraq, Petraeus told reporters: "We honestly don't know, it is unclear. We do know that training (of Iraqi militants in Iran) has continued. "It is at an important scale, because these are individuals with considerable skill who can train other individuals in Iraq. "It is a very unhelpful addition to the mix. We call it a lethal accelerant to a situation in Iraq that already has enough challenges."

POPSIraqi policewomen are told to surrender their weapons Without policewomen, Phillips said, there will be no officers to give pat-down searches to female suspects, even though women have joined the ranks of suicide bombers in Iraq. Last week, a female bomber killed at least 16 people north of Baghdad, at least the fifth such attack in Iraq this year.
