POPSgreen-card marriage scamby

To cover up the scam, some obtained driver's licenses under aliases before marrying. Camarillo and others prepared fake divorce decrees, tax returns, birth certificates and Social Security numbers cards. The documents helped fool immigration officials, who didn't necessarily verify that they were legitimate, Bleil said. The scam began to unravel after an informant told U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement about Camarillo in July 2004. When Olga Hernandez and her husband went to the Citizenship and Immigration Services office in 2005 for an interview, the couple were placed in separate rooms. Discrepancies surfaced during questioning, and eventually Hernandez broke. She told officers she'd just been just trying to help a friend and withdrew the petition for a green card.

POPSIRS ID program - fraud costs billions in tax refunds We'd be better off being illegal immigrants in our own country, the benefits out weigh the negatives. Actually it is getting to where there is no down side to being an illegal here anymore. May as well dissolve the INS, Border Patrol, Customs, think of all that money liberals could waste on their 'worthwhile' programs.

POPSWill GOP Call to Repeal Health Care Bill? Repealing the health care bill, however, would take more than winning back a few congressional seats. Just as the Republican minority in the Senate has stalled the current health care debate, a Democratic minority could do the same to any repeal measure unless Republicans were able to pull together at least a 60-vote majority. The GOP would also have to overcome the strong majority Democrats now have in the House. Even if they were to win both chambers back, President Obama could veto any repeal measure at least through 2012. "Anyone who thinks they'll be able to repeal ObamaCare is kidding themselves," Michael Cannon, director of health policy studies at the libertarian Cato Institute, told the Washington Independent. "If they want to stop it, they need to stop it now."

POPSThe impudent tyranny of Harry Reid Note that the subsection at issue here concerns the regulatory power of the Independent Medicare Independent Advisory Board to "reduce the per capita rate of growth in Medicare spending." That is precisely the kind of open-ended grant of regulatory power that effectively establishes the IMAB as the ultimate arbiter of the cost, quality and quantity of health care to be made available to the American people. And Reid wants the decisions of this group of unelected federal bureaucrats to be untouchable for all time.

POPSIt's a wonderful life working for the government The policy aim, Democrats say, was to maintain public services and aid. The political aim, although Democrats don't say so, was to maintain public-sector jobs -- and the flow of union dues to the public employees unions that represent almost 40 percent of public-sector workers. Those unions in turn have contributed generously to Democrats. Services Employee International Union head Andy Stern, the most frequent nongovernment visitor to the Obama White House, has boasted that his union steered $60 million to Democrats in the 2008 cycle. The total union contribution to Democrats has been estimated at $400 million.

POPSBowing to communism at the climategate festival Ronald Reagan was right when he said that "America is a nation that has a government - not the other way around." Apparently Mr. Obama somehow rationalizes that it works for him the polar opposite, in other words, "I the president have a nation-and I the president have a government." President Reagan also said, "Government is not the solution-it's the problem." And here's where the country gets into trouble, by allowing the president, and the government to assume complete control over the American people.

POPSObama heads to Copenhagen Hopefully his visit will produce the same results his visit trying to secure the Olympics did! There seems to be no cause this idiot and congress will ignore when it comes to spending!

POPSObama Planning a Legal Fudge for TARP? According to Reuters, “the administration was looking at setting up a special purpose vehicle to be a conduit for money…that would get around restrictions on executive bank pay.” There’s an irony here. Didn’t “special purpose vehicles” help carry us into this credit crisis to begin with? (Answer: They did! And into the Enron debacle, too.) Besides, isn’t it unseemly for the executive to skulk around the intent of a duly passed law? If the law is flawed, shouldn’t the administration persuade Congress to change it?

POPSObama's fat cat bankers - his buds So they need only make more loans, lots more loans -- to businesses now in shakier condition than they were three years ago - - all without doing anything "risky." Got it?

POPSUncle Ted's American Jobs Summit America is quickly arriving at an economic crossroads. States such as California and Michigan are free-falling into economic collapse. Unemployment is at its highest peak in over 20 years. We are trillions of dollars in debt and the unsustainable debt continues to rise. There is no economic good news. Honey, we're broke. Let's go on a shopping spree!

POPSAmerica's Epitaph Karl Marx dismissed God as a hoax, and Lenin and Stalin have added in clear-cut, unmistakable language their resolve that no nation, no people who believe in a god, can exist side by side with their communistic state. Karl Marx, for example, expelled people from his Communist Party for mentioning such things as love, justice, humanity or morality. He called this "soulful ravings" and "sloppy sentimentality." . . . Today we are engaged in a final, all-out battle between communistic atheism and Christianity. The modern champions of communism have selected this as the time, and ladies and gentlemen, the chips are down--they are truly down.

POPSThe Siren Call Of Tyranny Why was that? "The totalitarian phenomenon," Revel observed years ago, "is not to be understood without making an allowance for the thesis that some important part of every society consists of people who actively want tyranny: either to exercise it themselves or—much more mysteriously—to submit to it." It was a temptation that proved to be remarkably resilient. Following the collapse of the Soviet Union, the once fellow-traveling European left had no choice but to admit that the god to which it had long rendered faithful service had been an illusion, and incurably dysfunctional to boot. Yet that grudging concession, as Revel observed, did little to chasten the former groupies of totalitar ianism. On the contrary, it served as a springboard for a fresh assault on liberal-democratic principles.

POPSWake Up Before Obama Destroys The US And I’d add, as Mr. Obama destroys our economic freedom and prosperity, we will be heading toward the day when we cannot afford or maintain our national security and military systems that keep us safe. Then, on our foreign policy plight under Mr. Obama, Mr. Podhoretz writes, “In global affairs, will the United States sit mute and inactive as the world’s most dangerous regimes acquire the world’s most dangerous weapons – or will we muster the will to prevent them from doing so? Will we continue to apologize for being the greatest, the noblest, the freest, and the most selfless nation in the history of the world – or will we find the strength, yet again, to resist the temptation to blame ourselves for the slings and arrows hurled at us by those who wish us ill?”

POPSObama prepares to surrender our money and sovereignty The Environmental Protection Agency has announced that it is going to take over the issue anyway. It does not need enabling legislation. This executive branch continues to ignore law and tradition, as it rushes down the road to socialism, or dare I say it, Marxism. But don't worry, it's all for the common good.

POPSa socialist revolution in America In the same year, a much more famous (and equally disingenuous) document appeared, called “The Port Huron Statement,” which was the founding manifesto of the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS). The Port Huron Statement did not admit to its socialist agendas, but called instead for “participatory democracy,” by which it meant a direct democracy (or “people’s democracy”) – a democracy that would embrace the economic order as well. This was exactly how Marx had described the Communist future, but the Port Huron statement prudently refrained from acknowledging that fact.

POPSOpen Call to Congressional Republicans Although, I fail to see just what Republicans can do to stop Obamagress from chauffeuring us into Maxism/communism that starts when our economy collapses completely. Until they gain more seats in next years election we are at the mercy of these idiots.

POPSObama administration upended by health care report Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell reminded his colleagues in a Senate floor speech that CMS Chief Actuary Rick Foster (who crunched the numbers) "is the person the administration depends on to give it a straightforward, unbiased analysis of the impact the legislation would have." One need not take Senator McConnell's word for it. All he did was read into the record the findings of the impartial actuary. The report comes up with findings that give a strong hint as to why the 60-40 Senate Democrat majority is so hell-bent on ramming the bill through, even though — at last report — 61 percent of Americans oppose it. If the word gets out about this damning report, the popular opposition is likely to trend even higher.

POPSObama executive overreach climate lie "Although details have not been made available, recent statements by Special Envoy on Climate Change Todd Stern indicate that negotiators may be intending to commit the United States to a nationwide emission reduction program," Webb added. "As you well know from your time in the Senate, only specific legislation agreed upon in the Congress, or a treaty ratified by the Senate, could actually create such a commitment on behalf of our country."

POPSWhy Switzerland Has The Lowest Crime Rate "I would want to be free, never in a situation where someone could march us off to ovens or prisons or take away our freedom.' "The key to freedom is the ability to be able to defend yourself. If you don't have the tools to do that then you're at the mercy of whoever wants you to put you away." The Swiss understand freedom and their citizens are prepared to fight to keep theirs.

POPSMarines stand up for embattled officer Government prosecutors charging Chessani with criminal wrongdoing lost at every stage. The case was thrown out of military court, and an appellate court affirmed the decision. "The bad news, as predicted, the government, in its efforts to disgrace and destroy Lt. Col. Chessani, has consistently ignored the rules of fundamental fairness by introducing tainted evidence from other cases that had nothing to do with the allegations against Lt. Col. Chessani, and which would never be allowed in court-martial proceedings."

POPSSharpton Blasts Tiger Woods Sharpton, who has long championed taking black women as mistresses, said that today’s black athletes need to stop neglecting black women when it comes to extramarital affairs, and should follow the examples of positive black role models such as Jesse Jackson and Martin Luther King, Jr., both of whom cheated on their wives with black women. Sharpton also stressed that cheating with African-American women would help the black community financially by giving black girls the chance to sell their stories to tabloids and gossip magazines. Added Sharpton, “I’m not asking you to not cheat on your wives, I’m just asking you to give back to your own community.”

POPSA Reid too far?
“Reid ducked several national questions. On whether he would ‘opt out’ of the public option if the Senate health-care bill his father has written becomes law, he answered that he has no idea what the eventual health-care law would entail. ‘I’m not going to get into what the law might be.’ Regarding whether he supported President Obama’s troop increase to Afghanistan, Reid replied that he’s running for governor of Nevada, not federal office. ‘That policy is best left to the president.’ He also declined to talk about his father’s Senate race. ‘I think you should ask him to handicap his own race.’” The National Republican Senate Committee quickly jumped on the stories, sending mailings to Nevada journalists. Though Rory Reid said nothing against his father in the press interviews, the GOP mailing was headed, “Not exactly a vote of confidence from Harry Reid’s own son.” And Las Vegas columnist Jon Ralston posted a piece headlined “Reids’ national media misadventures …” that said, “But t

POPSReid's life-raft is deflating Of course, these come as no surprise to Nevadans & we’re sure to see many more between now & the 2010 election. The question is how deep the lifeboat holding Nevada’s “representative” will sink… According to that same LVRJ poll set, a whopping 53% of Nevadans polled do not support the health reform legislation Mr. Reid has proposed & supports. Only 39% of Nevadans are in favor, demonstrating a pretty significant drop in approval numbers since October when the split was 49% -40%. So why, Senator Reid, do you continue to tout this bill (constantly in decline) as the Insurance of a Lifetime? Are you a representative of Nevada’s people or do you just work for the “Big Guy?” Errr, wait—the ultra-Liberal left is always for the “forgotten man.” Point noted.

POPSAn Open letter to Mr. Obama
You have filled your administration with people who hold the most outrageous, insane, and frightening views on everything from our climate to our animals and worst of all, the sexuality of our children. You plainly gravitate toward these radical sorts who have a view of America and the world that I and many other will simply never tolerate. Your intentions have been revealed, and they are divisive and destructive. Do not attempt to distance yourself from the views of Van Jones, Cass Sunstein, and John Holdren. You don’t get a pass anymore. The buck stops with you. If you appointed them, then you believe what they believe. If you think they’re off-base and you disagree with them, then you shouldn’t hire them to do your laundry, let alone fill a cabinet-level position. If they’re on your team, then you’re okay with everything they’ve said and published – period. You’re the one who wanted the job, so stop crying about being unfairly aligned with crazy radical views.

POPSKids to Meet Marx in School
These two books have now become the basis for a new documentary, entitled The People Speak, to be aired December 13th at 8pm on the History Channel. The trailer portrays the documentary as a collage of compelling one-person readings, told through the words of “ordinary” people who have struggled throughout American history against oppression. Produced by Zinn, Matt Damon, Josh Brolin, and Chris Moore, the documentary appears to be cloaked, ironically (given Zinn’s admitted socialist agenda), in many of the traditional ideas that were behind our founding. The verdict is still out on the doc, but it is not for the books that inspired the film as well as the educational initiative associated with it. Perhaps due to their one-sided perspective of America’s past, Zinn’s history books have largely been limited to colleges and universities, until now. In the press release announcing the broadcast, HISTORY introduced a partnership with VOICES Of A People’s History Of The United States, a no

POPSObama seeks to replace the American way of life These fragmented groups are ready to fight to shut down the government's grab of personal freedom, its blatant abuse of the Constitution and its attempt to replace the American way of life with socialism/communism. Sometime in the next two years, when the government does the unthinkable, they will come together. Hopefully, from the chaos that will result, we will emerge a stronger, smarter country.

POPSWhen you're losing the debate, re-define the issue. This new, all-inclusive, damned-if-it-does, damned-if-it-doesn't, consensus-driven "settled' science was supposed to lead to humanity finally coming to terms with the one, single underlying Truth that ran through each of these crisis iterations: that man, and man alone, was primarily responsible for the terrible things that were about to befall us all. And since man was the culprit, with his unhealthy reliance on Western-style technology fed by an insatiable appetite for noxious, offensive, fossil fuels, man was the solution. Alter the evil things humans do to feed themselves and their families, heat their homes, and get from point A to B, and Mother Earth is saved, glory be to Gore!

POPSIt should not have taken hundreds of emails Year 2100, "Ocean pH levels will very likely decrease by as much as 0.5pH units, impairing ability of marine organisms such as corals, crabs and oyster to form shells or exoskeletons." This claim originated from the University of California's Professor Gretchen Hoffman, ". . . global warming . . . is threatening the future of Antarctic's tiny pteropod marine snail . . . atmospheric buildup of carbon dioxide is expected to make the oceans more acidic, impairing the snail's ability to make a shell . . . It is possible by 2050 they may not be able to make a shell any more." Hoffman called the pteropod the "potato chip" of the oceans, a food source for many aquatic creatures. This hoax would have never gotten off the ground if the media had done their jobs instead of being actively involved in the hoax themselves - instead they chose to let political agendas override journalistic principals.

POPSContessa Brewer is a ClimateGate denier Naturally, this mean that liberal journalists like Contessa Brewer have to play their part in covering it up. This will include — and has been including — discrediting the people who have been calling for an investigation into this and are skeptical of the global warming hoax. If it turns out that it really is all a fake, then a lot of people are going to look foolish, including President Obama, who will be attending the climate change summit in Copenhagen. If journalists had any ethics or integrity left, they would be the ones investigating this. But instead, they’re taking part in the cover-up of the ClimateGate controversy. It’s just further proof that journalism has officially died.

POPSEPA chief: The hacked e-mails change nothing U.S. Rep. Joe Barton, R-Arlington, and other congressional Republicans had asked that Jackson abandon her finding in light of e-mails from climate researchers that questioned the scientific foundation of global-warming theories. The e-mails were found by a computer hacker who got them from a server at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, England. "Today's EPA action mimics the e-mails in one respect – it demonstrates that public relations priorities rather than straightforward science are driving U.S. policymaking on global warming," Barton said. OBama and the crazy left care nothing about the truth, only in cramming their green agenda down our throats and damn any evidence they are wrong!
