POPSAmericans Are Living and Dying In A Militarized Police State
Criminals have gotten better armed and more violent. Drug dealers are notorious for carrying weapons and historically have easily outgunned police. So these are reasons why police have become more heavily weaponized. Plus, respect for police has gone into the crapper. Blame for this lies with the police as well as with civilians. Frustration on both sides heat up seemingly benign situations and if there is a gun within reach someone is going to suffer. This has created a very dangerous atmosphere for unarmed citizens which has lead to increased gun sales. It has become an arms race between citizens and their protectors. All of this adds up to the increased need to protect our rights to bear arms and to loudly declare our opposition to our government paving the way for martial law. No one wants to see our cities become militarized police zones. Read the clip for horror stories of police and civilians over-reacting on misinformation usually resulting in death.

POPSBomb parts smuggled into 10 federal buildings during test Great, thanks for raising our stress levels and informing the terrorist. Oh, and great work to all you ‘guardians’ of our ‘safety’ and ‘security’! Great work! The GAO also released a photograph of a guard asleep at his post and detailed an instance in which a woman placed an infant in a carrier on an X-ray machine while retrieving identification. Because the guard was not paying attention and the machine's safety features had been disabled, the infant was sent through the X-ray machine, according to the report. The FPS dismissed the guard, who, as a result, sued the agency for failing to provide X-ray training. FPS lost the suit because it could not prove that the guard had been trained, the report says. Un- freaking-believable! Are we Americans destined to be the laughing stock of the world?

POPSEverything Is Illegal!!
"Once the new network television season starts, most Americans will forget they ever had civil rights in the first place. However, they would notice that they are not getting paychecks. So, really it's just a matter of Congress tailoring legislation to match the priorities of the American people. “There are already so many nebulous and conflicting laws on the books now, that police and government can pretty much arrest or fine anyone for anything they want already, so they figured that it would be far easier just to eliminate the small number of rights Americans have left than trying to surf the morass of idiocy that constitutes modern American law. The informant concluded that there were no plans to make a formal announcement of this change in policy, rather "we were just going to let people figure it out for themselves," and that the only reason he decided to come forward with this information was because he enjoyed looking at the shocked expression in this reporter's face.

POPSNapolitano apologizes to veterans over 'extremist' flap Someone in the department thought veterans were worth watching closely. The fact that this report was actually written and made it to Napolitano and released proves this. Napolitano's apology does not erase this fact. Paranoia is a very difficult obsession to eradicate. If left unchecked it can create mistrust and hatred.

POPSRevenge of the "Waco Gene"
This topic is getting a lot of play. In recent months we have heard of tales of FEMA concentration camps: http://forums.ebay.com/db1/topic/The-Soapbox/Fema-Has-Concentration/510085018 And U.S. Army troops to serve as U.S. policemen: http://www.newswithviews.com/baldwin/baldwin472.htm The general public thinks these are good developments, to be used to control the ‘radical element’ within our society out to disrupt our very way of life. But now with recent Homeland Security re-defining what a terrorist is, we see the cross-hairs being leveled on everyday average citizens. Earlier this month, the ERB issued a nine-page assessment of "right-wing extremism" which, basically, acknowledges that every "local" police agency in the US is now a sensory organ, and enforcement appendage, of the Homeland Security State. State and local police are now being tasked to become Big Brothers “eyes and ears” to gather intelligence on these newly defined “extremists” within their jurisdi

POPSIs Texas a Terror State? It is the opposition of the "overreaching power of the federal government" that seals Texas's fate as a terror state. Rick Perry's statement on the Governor's website supports states' rights under the 10th Amendment. Perry states: "I believe that our federal government has become oppressive in its size, its intrusion into the lives of our citizens, and its interference with the affairs of our state. That is why I am here today to express my unwavering support for efforts all across our country to reaffirm the states' rights affirmed by the Tenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. I believe that returning to the letter and spirit of the U.S. Constitution and its essential 10th Amendment will free our state from undue regulations, and ultimately strengthen our Union....Millions of Texans are tired of Washington, DC trying to come down here to tell us how to run Texas." Texas is most definitely a terror state in the eyes of Secretary Napolitano and her agency.

POPSThe End of Privacy? Are we unwittingly inviting big brother into our lives? The darkest fears we have of big brother is that ‘he’ can reach out to any one of us and control what we think and do. This ability to reach so many of us, and for such sinister reasons, is brushed off by the majority of people as fodder for Hollywood and the lunatic fringe. But read the article and take heed as to how we voluntarily give up bits of information on a daily basis. In hard economic times data collected on any of us becomes money to marketing firms. Are there any among us who naively believe that once trusted organizations won’t sell our personal information for a buck? And if the right reason presents itself to our government you can bet privacy laws will not stand in their way of obtaining any information they want about any of us. Homeland Security was founded to ‘protect’ us but won’t think twice about using data against private citizens when it comes to ‘national security’.

POPSMan detained and harassed at airport for carrying cash This is scary stuff. A man is threatened with exposure to DEA because he is carrying a large sum of cash and refuses to explain to over-zealous TSA agents why he is carrying it or where he got it. He repeatedly asks the agents if he is legally bound to answer their questions concerning the origin of the money and is further threatened with 'being taken downtown to police headquarters'. TSA is getting out of control when they think they can pull an individual aside and hold him for carrying cash. The more sinister reason for his detainment, which is revealed in the clip, is his connection with the Ron Paul campaign and the fact that Missouri law enforcement regards these individuals as 'home-grown terrorists'. Be afraid, be very afraid.

POPSUS to Defoliate Rio Grande River Bank
Environmentalist are up in arms over this plan but fail to take into consideration the fact that the carrizo cane is not native to this area and is adversely affecting farming on both sides of the river. It should be eradicated. But, helping farmers is not the reason Homeland Security wants to destroy this desert ecosystem. The carrizo cane offers a cover for illegal immigrants trying to cross the border. And since we all know building a wall along the border is impossible the American government has decided to treat the carrizo cane as a terrorist threat, and they seek to eradicate it with herbicides. The unfortunate side effect is it will poison the water table and act as neurotoxins that affect human central nervous system. But, hey, the Border Patrol figures if they can wipe out a few illegals along the way well it just makes their job easier. Just another short-sighted plan to show action without considering long-term disastrous side-effects. Our tax dollars at work!
