POPSRoboBugs: That Dragonfly is a U.S. Government Spy More: Defense Department documents describe nearly 100 different models in use today, some as tiny as birds, and some the size of small planes. All told, the nation's fleet of flying robots logged more than 160,000 flight hours last year -- a more than fourfold increase since 2003. A recent report by the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College warned that if traffic rules are not clarified soon, the glut of unmanned vehicles "could render military airspace chaotic and potentially dangerous." The Hybrid Insect Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems project aims to create literal shutterbugs -- camera-toting insects whose nerves have grown into their internal silicon chip so that wranglers can control their activities. DARPA researchers are also raising cyborg beetles with power for various instruments to be generated by their muscles.

POPSDocstoc: Clipmarks for Documents! I thought my title was better than their own description, "Youtube for documents". Their's is hype, mine is more accurate. This suggests also that Clipmarks programming could be applied to various fields in like manner, for various applications. I would like to see Clipmarks expand their capabilities like this so we could post or embed actual legal (legislative) briefs that could be scrolled right from a blog, making reading and reporting online a great deal easier, and pdf in particular easier to reference in a blog post. (A Firefox addon for pdf files to view as html also exists). (Just let me share if this idea becomes profitable!)

POPSArea 51 Designated With A New Name Some enthusiasts believe that work continues there today on advanced aircraft — including unmanned aerial vehicles, high-speed reconnaissance craft and even high-altitude blimps — though alien conspiracy buffs also speculate that Area 51’s high profile has forced officials to move much of the top-secret stuff to the Army’s Dugway Proving Ground in Utah. I didn't know that. How odd to find this info on a military site. Thanks for the update! *LOL*

POPS Make Windows Invincible! (a tutorial) (NOTE: Cybercriminals will not give up their livelihood easily, and have been attacking the contents of these pages ever since I first launched them. Now that my Web images are hosted locally on Blogger's high-capacity servers with powerful attack mitigation, hackers are settling for the PDF files themselves. I will do my best to keep moving them around in this Cat and Mouse game, but please be patient if you are temporarily unable to download the files.) One of my most trusted sources for consultation in freeware is Gizmo's 46 Best-ever Freeware Utilities, where you will find explanatory reviews that offer some insight to aid your decisions.
