POPSBest Show on TV: IN TREATMENT- HBO going to catch the season premier tonight- all i can say..this show BLEW ME AWAY last season- so happy it's back...Gabriel Byrne is FANTASTIC.. totally addiciting- seems like entertainment weekly feels the same way i do!

POPSJoan & Mellssa RIver's- REPLACED on the Red Carpet I am so glad we wont have to listen to these 2 anymore! Sometimes i like watching the 'red carpet' part of the award shoes more than the actual awards...but these 2 were my least favorite part! I like Lisa Rhinna who will be replacing them starting at the Emmy's in September.

POPSMovie Review- HOAX i saw this last night- i had low expectations b/c aside from Pretty Woman, I'm not particularly a Richard Gere fan-- at first i wasn't really sold- the movie seemed a bit outlandish-- however, after sticking with it I found it to be quite enjoyable. The story is so absurd it's hard to believe it-- but knowing that it was based on a true story kept me into it--- i wouldn't give it an "A" like entertainment weekly- but all in all- very good movie-- and what a crazy story!

POPSNBC renewing 30 Rock -- depsite low ratings I heard this show was pretty good, i should check it out-- perhaps they should renew Studio 60 despite low ratings..the same audience they have faith in to catch onto 30 rock will catch Studio 60 as well...

POPSTV Show- SIX DEGREES returning in March i liked this show- i'm happy it's getting a second chance- i can't say it will have much have a fighting chance in a Friday time slot- but i'm happy i'll get to see how the story lines play out.

POPSSpike Lee to Direct James Brown biopic not to minimize James Brown...but i just think it's funny that this announcement comes the day after he dies....we live in a big fat marketing world! Even death is a marketing opportunity..

POPSCartoon Legend JOE BARBERA dies He provided me with many, many laughs over the years. My childhood entertainment was primarily based on his creations! Quite sad, but seems like he lived a very long and filling life.

I've been personally rebelling about seeing this film- not really my speed..but the reviews are speaking very loud-- i think i have to check it out...soon!!

POPSScorcese's 'DEPARTED' the movie of the Fall I saw this movie over the weekend. It was a ton of fun to watch- i can't say that i thought the movie was 'oscar worthy'-- but i thought Leonardo DiCaprio was. It was a true sit-at-the-edge-of-your-chair flick. A good time for sure..but Leo amazed me, he was incredible.

POPSNintendo Wii- to be release 11/19 I know video games can be a crazy waste of time-- but i really did love them...i wish i had a valid excuse to 'want this'....in a really selfish way, i look forward to the day when my daughter has the latest of these on her 'must have' list!!!!-- in moderation- these were just pure hours of bliss!!!

POPSStudio 60 on the Sunset Strip- Mondays 10pm NBC HIGHLY RECOMMEND..was really impressed by the pilot last week. Great recap and review if you click on this link. I'm predicting (along with everyone else, so not all that ahead of the game on this one)--- This is the show of the season.

POPSPirates of the Caribbean Sequel-- UGH! Seems like EW squashed this movie! I just read a great Rolling Stone interview with Johnny Depp, and it made me want to at least see the first one...i guess i missed the hype of that one- any opinions? Sounds like the sequal is one to skip from this review!

POPSFrank Sinatra..back? Maybe I'm a little 'cold' for saying this, but this creeps me out...i hated when they did it with Nat King Cole, and I'll hate it again now.. I know it sucks when people die.. but i hate the idea of technology bringing them 'back' for entertainment purposes...this is a marketing/promotion idea.. I don't care if his family is behind it..it rubs me the wrong way
