POPSA longer healthier life..with TEA I'm a coffee drinker, but my husband is trying to bring more tea into my life...I've been embracing it a bit, and actually enjoying it! Particularly Stash's Peach Ginger tea.

POPSIMPORTANT: Stop the cough medicine for young chidren I've gotten these email 'forwards for years, and always thought it was one of those scammy BS type emails....i now know better. I know I've uses Triaminic a number of times on my daughter during the first 3 years of her life-- that will obviously stop now, and my younger daughter will just have to suffer through those winter time colds (and so will i with the sleepless nights that those colds bring about..) Scary stuff

POPSBad Marriage- it can literally make you sick amazing- so it'sthe lesser of 2 evils...a bad marriage can get you physically sick-- but being alone can also be a danger to your physical health...can't we just summarize by saying LIFE IS HARD!!!! I think i'd rather be alone and get sick then be miserable in a bad uncommunicative marriage which would also get me sick, just so i had dinner plans on a saturday night.

POPSThe Benefits of Breast feeding- more social? i breast fed my daughter- and i'll do it again with the one coming--- but it seems so crazy to me that all these benefits are true...i wasn't breastfed, and i'm plenty social!! and i know plenty of people that were and these statistics just don't add up.

POPSBaby Einstein videos-- more harm than good? Interesting read- i never used this videos to help with language devp. i used them more as a break for me, and as a stimulating activity for my daughter. i thought the colors and movement were keeping her attention-- i didn't think she'd learn to speak faster from them-- however, interestingly, this article is saying it does the opposite.

POPStough time for music: TOWER RECORDS - OUT OF BUSINESS Tower Records and CBGB - bad news, same weekend...it's like we're taking all the heart and soul out of a heart and soul business (if there really is such a thing) Ibought my first CD at Tower Records-- it was Billy Joel- the double disc greatest hits-- i was probably 9-10-- in '85-'86- don't really remember which one-- but for me, Tower Records had the 'kid in the candy store' effect.

POPSIs the 'WRISTWATCH' over??? I really hope not. although i think it might be true. I bought my husband a beautiful watch for our first anniversary years ago-- i think he gave it about a 6 month wear before he realized he preffered his phone to be his watch. i think watches are really 'smart' - i think they look nice on people..i'd hate to see the Blackberry/Cellphone movement knock out this market too...

POPSPlaying is more vital than you think-- kids need more Play! I'm such a believer in this. It really played a role in my decision as to what preschool to send my daughter to. I chose a school that really valued playtime-- and learning through play. Perhaps it's not as structured as some of the other programs-- but i feel that it's the best way for my daughter to learn and grow.

POPSHey Hey Hey Goodbye-- SANJAYA (thankfully!!) I don't regularly watch this show-- but i found this whole 'save sanjaya' movement quite interesting, so i tuned in a couple of times...he stunk!!! I'm glad America finally spoke loud enough to kick him off the show and give some true talents a better chance.

POPScrocs-- the dumbest shoe on earth can't we just agree to NOT wear these stupid shoes-- and if nothing else, not put our young toddlers in them-- it's a trend i've held strong on NOT being a part of. I really think these shoes are not safe, rather ugly.. and really just a dumb parenting decision.

POPSBilingual babies! i wish there was someone around my daughter that spoke another language- i think it's such an amazing thing to know. She's just 2, but Dora the Explorer has taught her a decent amount of spanish-- i just wish she had more of an influece in her life to really teach her.

POPSSix Figure Salaries for Stay-at-home-Moms if only this were true:) It is interesting how many hours go into being a 'mom' especially if you have more than one child. I can't complain, for the most part my daughter is really easy-- but knowing that #2 is on it's way makes me nervous about the juggling act!
