POPSHuge Camera Lens I'm not a photographer but the size and weight (look at his bulging arm) of this camera lens got my attention

POPSDog Whisperer Cesar Millan's Advice for Obama dog Bo What does Barack Obama's style of leadership as a president tell us about how he'll be as a pet owner? President Obama is a calm and assertive leader. If he applies those skills to his relationship with Bo, he'll be on the right path and a great role model for the world!

POPSSteampunk Gift Guide 2008 I like the Steampunk torch and Girl Genius Comics the best. The compass and lanterns are examples of great industrial design with their graceful lines.

POPSChristian Right Influence on USA Politics It all started when Ronald Reagan courted the religious right in his bid to win the Presidency. Now it's come to Christian leaders who use millions in tax-free donations to try to influence nominations for the Supreme Court and to subvert the First Amendment separation of church and State. It's a mutual back scratching society.

POPSCandid Early Photos of Obama Campaigning - Time Some wonderful pictures of the early days of Barack "Barry" Obama's presidential campaign. The ones with him and his family are especially sweet. I'm glad the photographer was there to capture these images. Whether he makes president or not, I believe Mr. Obama will go on to be an influential world leader.

POPSBarack Obama Bunny Ears - Campain Headquarters Stop I love these candid shots of Obama's surprise visit to Kansas City campaign headquarters. Especially the bunny ears. Gotta love a man with a fun sense of humor. Unlike George W. Bush's creepy sense of humor where he grabs world leaders from behind saying he's giving them a massage. Bet those campaign workers are glad they showed up to work that day.

POPSJohn McCain About to Bite Cindy? McCain looks like a growling, rabid dog, about to bite a chunk out of his wife's face. Run Cindy, run! Of course the Obamas look like a loving couple in the background.

POPSB. Obama Walks the Walk This article summarizes one of the main reasons I back Barack Obama. I believe in community service and helping out others in need and apparently so does he. We don't have to wait for him to finish being president to see him interacting with people who make less than $500k per year. To see him doing this stuff before he can score political points shows that this is the real him. Not a put on. The fact that he's called on to do these events shows his general respect level.

POPSUS Castoffs Become 3rd World Saviors America's consumer culture pays off for some less fortunate people in the world. When a wheelchair gets too old or breaks down, it's cheaper for American insurers to spend $300 to replace it. Instead of filling up our landfills, this organizations help the chairs get to people who really need them all over the world. What's trash to an American well help another person get out of the dirt and have a more fulfilling life.

POPSLogical Reason Pretty Boys Look Good This article talks about how women are programmed or hard wired to consider some men more attractive than others. It's interesting how the theory holds true, regardless of the race or ethnicity of the man.

POPSOprah and Angela at Opening of Color Purple Talk show host Oprah Winfrey, right, hugs actress Angela Bassett as they arrive to the opening night of Winfrey's new Broadway play 'The Color Purple' on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005, in New York. (AP Photo/Dima Gavrysh) - I wonder if Angela committed a faux pas by wearing purple/lavender.

POPSCan't We All Just Get Along Talk show host Oprah Winfrey, left, is escorted by fellow talk show host David Letterman to the opening night of Winfrey's Broadway play 'The Color Purple' on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005, in New York. (AP Photo/Dima Gavrysh) - I'm glad Oprah decided to move on from her percieved slight. Hopefully this will be the beginning of a successful run for her play on Broadway. God knows she needs the money. ; ]

POPSA dog named Columbo A dog named 'Columbo', a cross-breed between a poodle and a Maltese and dyed to look like a panda, is seen in Tokyo November 30, 2005. The owner dyed the originally white coloured dog, with a special hair dye to cover stains around its eyes which was conspicuous when he was first found abandoned. As a result, the panda look-alike became the most popular dog in the neighbourhood and the owner said he hopes Columbo's popularity will help rescue other abandoned dogs like Columbo, where in Tokyo last year, 700 of them were put to sleep.
