POPSAttack on Iran Chances? Slim to NONE, --<< Indeed, it's not even clear the vice president is an advocate of action, as opposed to tough talk, on Iran. Defense Secretary Robert Gates, Admiral William Fallon, the head of Central Command for the Middle East, and probably Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice - all think military engagement with Iran is a recipe for disaster.>>--

POPSDancing in the Earthquake --<< "There are two radically different ways of responding to the worldwide earthquake that moves the ground beneath our feet. One way is to grasp at some pillar of past certainty that we hope can help us live through the quake and subdue its energy, so as to make it possible once again to walk, to march, in the path that we remember. The other is to learn to dance in an earthquake. In that dance, all our old versions of dancing will have to be reworked. No pattern of steps that we knew before will keep us upright and graceful as the ground shakes beneath us. Dancing in the earthquake -- renewing rather than restoring our traditions and communities -- may well be necessary if religious life in America is to shape a new official policy toward the land from which our three major religions emerged – the Middle East." >>--

POPSHistory of Fact; Not "Fe-eeelings" Palestinians' Nazi Past and Present~--<< " Their order: To continue "the destruction of the Jews begun in Europe with the energetic assistance of Arab collaborators" in the Near East. The main Nazi ally locally was the Arab National Movement, and especially the Palestinian national movement, under the guidance of the exiled Amin al-Husseini Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and uncle of the later Palestinian president Yassir Arafat YASSIR ARAFAT. Partly because of the attraction of the alleged anti-imperialism of the Nazis, which was directed against the mandate power of Great Britain, partly because of the dream of the resurgence of a vast Arab-Islamic realm, the Middle East elite became what Hitler celebrated as "prophets against the Jews.”

POPS " . . . . . . . . , Just Not The Mission ! What is going on now is not war, but reconstruction. Or more precisely, providing military security for Iraq's social, political and economic reconstruction. The war was clearly over at "Mission Accomplished", and we quickly pulled our major hardware presence from the arena. Why are we even discussing the "war in Iraq"?And why aren't conservatives pounding liberals for wanting to "walk out on the security necessary for Iraqi reconstruction"? Because too many of us have accepted liberal control of the language.

POPSIts the Region-Its all One Action We ARE at war with Iran. It became too dangerous NOT to start the business of transforming the middle east. And you don't IMPOSE freedom on anyone. You SET them free. If they can't get the idea and they try to kill you, you do it first. Both sides of the "argument", the talking heads, the "Seymour Hershes" as well as the Hannitys, are agenda driven, removed from reality.

POPSIran's Plan for Iraq------------2 MORE----------<<<<<This is not a theoretical scenario. This is the projected reality if U.S. forces would prematurely and abruptly withdraw from Iraq before achieving one major strategic objective in Iraq and the region: Helping the independently minded Iraqis to reform and solidify their Government, erect their Army to a regional level and along with U.S. forces establish a containment system for Iranian expansionist ambitions. Any lesser goal achieved in Iraq is a direct invitation to the Iranian regime to become the greatest threat in the 21st century against Peace and Security, in the region and worldwide >>>>>----------------

POPS Post's Arab media dhimmitude And might I add: = meted out to the atheist, the secular. In fact, maybe, especially so. For that is the source of the culture the fundamentalists rail against - what they call the immorality that calls for beheading.

POPSBefore 9/11;Long Before 1948 If you Google the two words: “Banna” and “Nazi”, you will get a ton of information about Al Qaeda and how these thugs have roots in Naziism. ============== Highly interesting reading, I don't care who you are.

POPSThe Burdens of General Petraeus MORE FROM THE ARTICLE= "..............it is hard to recall of any war in our history — the Vietnam hysteria aside — that a sitting Senate majority leader declared it lost in the middle of hostilities. We have not previously witnessed senior opposition senators alleging that their own American servicemen were analogous to Nazis, Stalinists, Cambodian mass murders, Saddam’s Baathist killers, or engaging in habitual terrorizing and killing of innocent civilians." ".......This is the first extended American ground war in the era of instantaneous global communications. The result is that U.S. military officials recognize that any possible strike on the Syria border would be broadcast worldwide as carpet bombing of a wedding party or tribal reunion, while the enemy’s mass beheadings and torture will often go unreported."
