As Much as it Pained Him To Say So! - Kudos

"We sent our troops to Iraq to do away with Saddam Hussein's regime -- and you got the job done. We kept our troops in Iraq to help establish a sovereign government -- and you got the job done. And we will leave the Iraqi people with a hard-earned opportunity to live a better life -- that is your achievement; that is the prospect that you have made possible." Amen.

Iraqi Contractor: 'Hope is Becoming a Reality'

-< “The secret to our success is honesty in execution, quality production, and looking after our Iraqi employees,” he said. He noted that at the conclusion of every project, 20 percent of the profits are distributed to his Iraqi crew. “That helps with motivation. They know they are part of the company. And that’s why we have been able to execute so many projects in such a short time,” he said. “I look after our Iraqi employees, and they produce.”>- Related Sites: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Gulf Region Division News Archive News Archive

    Arabs Gain from US-Turkey Crisis

--<< "By assaulting Turkey, President Bush and the US Congress have sharply increased Arab leverage over US policy in Iraq and opened the way to large scale Arab participation in resolution of the Iraq crisis" .>>-- ---- This interestingly explores potential aftermath of "genocide" declaration.

With no one to negotiate with, there will be no new options. With hamas urged to keep fighting, then the only option is to put them down. And to bring back a phrase from the past, the longer Israel "keeps swatting flies", the closer we get to the day when Iran scuttles of some explosive nukes and makes a REAL statement. If you'd rather see the defeat go to the Israelis you are of course cheering the words of the Ayatollah. (Who the H raised you?)

What is going on now is not war, but reconstruction. Or more precisely, providing military security for Iraq's social, political and economic reconstruction. The war was clearly over at "Mission Accomplished", and we quickly pulled our major hardware presence from the arena. Why are we even discussing the "war in Iraq"?And why aren't conservatives pounding liberals for wanting to "walk out on the security necessary for Iraqi reconstruction"? Because too many of us have accepted liberal control of the language.

We ARE at war with Iran. It became too dangerous NOT to start the business of transforming the middle east. And you don't IMPOSE freedom on anyone. You SET them free. If they can't get the idea and they try to kill you, you do it first. Both sides of the "argument", the talking heads, the "Seymour Hershes" as well as the Hannitys, are agenda driven, removed from reality.

    Iran's Plan for Iraq------------2
    davboz
    by davboz   10-1-2007
MORE----------<<<<<This is not a theoretical scenario. This is the projected reality if U.S. forces would prematurely and abruptly withdraw from Iraq before achieving one major strategic objective in Iraq and the region: Helping the independently minded Iraqis to reform and solidify their Government, erect their Army to a regional level and along with U.S. forces establish a containment system for Iranian expansionist ambitions. Any lesser goal achieved in Iraq is a direct invitation to the Iranian regime to become the greatest threat in the 21st century against Peace and Security, in the region and worldwide >>>>>----------------

It is always all so obvious. You just know that the negative, loser statements, along with the speeches and explanations needed to try in vein to counter the negativity, all serve as comedic fodder and ample warning for any groups and fighters meant to be targeted. And they do as always,---hide arms and uniforms and hide behind their families. When they sacrifice those women and children, some of you really need to withhold the kneejerk judgement when you don't really know who the real victim is. The revised mission is probably wasted and ,personally, I hold the enemy within responsible---from the start.

No,we don't want to take on any of our 'social issues' but remember that we are for reform and change. And (success and soldiers lives be damned) we'll sit back, undermine the war effort as best we can, and then swoop in for the kill. Nothing is as important as WE are.
