POPSHealth Insurance:Cheating The Honor System The honor system may be fine in situations much smaller in scale and with less at stake. In instances where circumstances have placed people in the same position and role - at least on the surface as a statistic - as the intentionally dishonest, it is left to number crunchers to declare those who would appear as cheaters to be invalid. It is the dishonest who are more responsible for innocent parties being dubiously removed from the pool, thereby taking away their coverage. Assuming these cases could be resolved by a caring arbitrator to discern the difference between the unfortunate and the dishonest, maybe this factor could be cleared up.

POPSHealthcare Lies #1 in Series I ask: Who was it, when was it, and what was the alleged purpose of instituting such regulations? Behind the alleged intentions, what were the true intentions? Was there pre-knowledge that the effect would be detrimental to consumers in the long run? Was the well-being of the people sacrificed in order to cause the state of healthcare to degenerate and costs to spiral out of control just so eventually the people would acquiesce to governmental control? After all, go back only to the Clinton effort. When that failed do you imagine Democrats wanted to see conditions improve or get worse? That answer is obvious. The worse it got, the more pleased they had to be.

POPSThese Hypocrites Oughta Make You Puke! Corruption,Lobbying, conflict of interest! Here's MORE: Carol Browner, assistant to the president for energy and climate change, disclosed earnings of between $1 million and $5 million from lobbying firm Downey McGrath Group, Inc., where her husband, Thomas Downey, is a principal. She states $450,000 in "member distribution" income, plus retirement and other benefits from The Albright Group, a lobbying firm whose principals include former Secretary of State Madeline Albright.

POPSWho Supported Fannie R E G U L A T I O N ? !! It never made it out of committee. Chris Dodd, then the ranking member of the Banking Committee and now its chair, was in the middle of receiving preferential loan treatment from Countrywide Mortgage, one of the companies gaming the system in the credit crisis. Meanwhile, Barack Obama took hundreds of thousands of dollars from the lobbyists McCain mentions in this speech, making him the #2 recipient of Fannie/Freddie money:

POPSPolitical Analyst~OR~Partisan Activists??? Olbermann's dominance brings out the worst in Matthews. Even Brokaw. They are both more balanced, when KO is nowhere in sight. An insightful eye can tell the difference when responding to Keith they are timidly stammering for words far enough in the extreme left bias to satisfy him. And their facial expression shows it - clearly. They are resentful, pressured, and under the thumb of Keith Olbermann. At a later point, with Olbermann gone, they are confident, balanced and natural. Myself, I can ferret out this kind of passive-aggressive, irresponsible phony journalism. There are just too many out there that cannot see that the line between news and amateurish blog has disappeared ~ probably for ever.

POPSLogicSaysUnigender ParentsNow Off Table Sudden reversal on left disparages earlier "Two Daddys" glorification. It will be hard for many of them, I'm sure, but I'm confident they will honorably step forward with testimonials and recantations regarding their previously hard-fought campaign to portray stay-at-home mothers as relics of days gone by; of the mother's brand of nurturing being of no importance unique from a man's.

POPSThou doth protest too much ~"Hillary, despite what you've heard, is not the smartest woman in America. And can anyone dispute that one element of Obama's allure is the potential of his becoming the first African-American president? Palin is, without doubt, in part, a token pick. So what? The appeal of a candidate includes his or her policy position, but also background (that's why we are blessed with the folksy charm of Joe Biden), experience, ability, race and gender. "~

POPSWeisburg's Racist Comments on Election
Author's propaganda tries to turn tables on realities. Despicable barely describes this hateful diatribe. Not in criticizing Reps.,McCain,etc. That's part of the game. I refer to his conclusions. Hopefully we can see through this kind of distortion no matter where we stand politically. If he felt confident in Obama's record he wouldn't need to even go where he does here. It seems that the concept, the equation, coming clear in this time, as we hopefully progress past true racism and the hurt it does to good people, is that, as blatant, actual racism lessens and becomes ever less an immediately impacting harm , less of a component of thought and feeling in our society, there seems to be, hopefully only temporarily, a corresponding yet negatively driven counter-trend of some sort. which insists that, there be a reverse racism taken for granted in order to prove the non-existence of the old, shameful racism.. Speaking for myself, I had, earlier this year, felt most favorable about

POPS"God Punishes Reps. w/Hurricane Guztav" Dems. Concern Troll facade exposed. In Fowler's thought - expressed quite easily ~ and shared by more than a few Leftists ~ one does not know which nastiness is greater: (a)that displayed while enjoying the threat to the people of N.O because it interrupts the Reps., or (b) the show of disgust they muster when accusing the Right of that very thinking. Soooo often, when they habitually accuse another of a certain despicable pattern of thought or feeling, weeelll it is their own scent they're smelling. When a main element of the character make-up of a group is the pomp and self-aggrandizement causing them to believe their very body odors are sweeter than their counterparts, well of course they will blame them upon noticing a fowl stench rising. Thing is, it is most likely their own aroma which first wafts nostril-ward. ;-)

POPSLack of Leadership @ MessNBC Leftist Professionalism = Oxymoron? I contend it IS possible, although by and large, the two don't arise mutually without some marked effort. But by placing less radical minds in charge who will deliberately allow their lefties to follow their political inclinations as a conscious alternative to FOX/RIGHT and CNN/CENTER , while constantly demanding professionalism and guiding them through all the predictable adolescent rebellion, pouting, and resistance to authority, The "Mess" can clean it up,take some pride in who they are and express their leftiness responsibly, not just in behavior. I believe it can be done. db.

POPSCredit Cards Gaining Self-Will Not only is Ms.Smith a victim of a credit card with a will of its own, she has to suffer the indignity of shopping at Target or God forbid, WalMart. THIS IS THE LEVEL OF DEGRADATION OUR COUNTRY AND ITS ECONOMY HAVE SUNKEN. I just do not know how we are going to survive.

POPSHouse Resolution Vote Ramadan Yea, Christmas Nay Another nine Democrats chose to vote "present." They are: Rep. John Conyers (Mich.), Rep. Barney Frank (Mass.), Rep. Rush Holt (N.J.), Rep. Donald Payne (N.J.), Rep. Allyson Schwartz (Pa.), Rep. Jan Schakowsky (Ill.), Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (Fla.), Rep. Peter Welch (Vt.) and Rep. John Yarmuth (Ky.). Each of them supported the Ramadan resolution except for Rep. Lee, who did not vote.

POPSCindy S. Gets Some Things Right It has been, all along, the extreme radicals, those well outside the system, who have used her, from day one, to try to get a wedge into the Democrat Party. Poor Cindy thought the Dems turned on her. They were never with her. She was a pawn in the radicals effort to get a foothold in the Democrat Party to take it over. And as long as she bashed Bush, our media networks took notice for a minute.
