    Not a comeback

The Republicans are just as pathetic today, as they were a week ago. Americans are just saying that they're disgusted with both parties, and local issues mean more to them than party affiliations. But I suppose if the GOP don't have their delusions, they've got nothing whatsoever.

The REAL reason that the GOP and Blue Dog Democrats aren't on board

Funny how the the members of Congress and the Senate that are resisting Healthcare Reform so much are the ones that got the most money from the Insurance and Drug industries. Serving their constituents, my ass!

    by darkeforce  8-20-2009
The GOP is in the pocket of the Big Health Insurance and Big Drug, so of course all they're going to do is try to undermine any real reform of healthcare. Besides, if Obama would pay attention, he'd find out that stripping away the real reform to appeal to a handful of Republican't votes is going to lose him a whole bunch of Democratic support. Americans deserve, real, meaningful health reform; not another bandaid on a broken system.

The last three were all guilty, but the Insurance Company most of all. Second comes the GOP, whose policies failed to reign in frivolous lawsuits, making Trial Lawyers into villains as well, since they could take advantage of the fact that the government failed to put in place any penalties for filing frivolous lawsuits, like civilized nations have.

... some money-grubbing accountant in an industry more interested in getting your money than taking care of your health being the one in charge of your treatment. Besides, this comic is a strawman. It's doctors that decide what treatment you get with government healthcare, not politicians or bureaucrats. The GOP is lying through its teeth to protect the corrupt interests of the Medical Lobby, not to protect Americans' best interests.

Are these people really thinking about your health, first and foremost?
    darkeforce
    by darkeforce  7-2-2009
The Insurance companies, the Drug companies, the AMA and the GOP all have an agenda that have nothing to do with providing you with the best healthcare at the best price. Are you really going to let them stop Obama from taking the steps necessary to make healthcare fair for the consumer first and foremost? Do you really want these vultures to hold your health hostage for their profits? Americans deserve better than that! Healthcare must be a public service, not a for-profit business venture, because then, only the rich people win, and everyone else loses. Medical Bills are still the #1 cause of personal bankruptcy in the US. That isn't right!

    darkeforce
    by darkeforce  4-25-2009
The Bush government never bothered to research whether torture was effective or not. They just had lawyers write memos saying that it was authorized. Now that people have come out and shown proof that torture does not produce any useful information, the ditzy GOP is trying to say that the existence of those memos are proof that torture works. Children, the words for today are "wankers" and "evil".
