The Line Between Right and Wrong

And the CIA tends to come up on the wrong side of that nearly non-existent line.

    The Delusions of Eric Allie

     1) It's already been confirmed that the CIA lied about briefing Pelosi and other Congressmen about waterboarding, so this is a strawman. 2) Companies putting profits ahead of the wellbeing of Americans IS villainous and monsterous, not to mention utterly lacking in morals. Once again, the Right-Wing Propaganda Machine tries to change the issue (unsuccessfully) rather than face the reality of the evil they are supporting.

Cheney broke the law with CIA program
    darkeforce
    by darkeforce  7-13-2009    3
Panetta's subordinates told him about the program on June 23, and he briefed two intelligence committees the following day, the Times reported. Under the National Security Act of 1947, the U.S. president must ensure the intelligence committees are informed about "intelligence activities in the United States, including any significant anticipated intelligence activity." However, the Act also stipulates briefings should be held "to the extent consistent with due regard for the protection from unauthorized disclosure of classified information relating to sensitive intelligence sources and methods or other exceptionally sensitive matters." Feinstein said the law shows Congress should have been told about the program, and the Bush administration's failure to do so "is a big problem." It's unclear how U.S. President Barack Obama will address the issue. Since taking office, he has been reluctant to uncover any alleged wrongdoing by the Bush administration.

A prime example of the Right-Wing, Corporate Media in action

Now, can we put this ludicrous fantasy about a "Liberal Media" behind us once and for all? The companies that own the media don't give a damn about Liberal issues; all they care about is their profit margins, and that's a 100% Conservative issue. Oh, and Pelosi didn't lie. Her peers have come forward and confirmed that there were no CIA briefings on the dates when the CIA said they told her about waterboarding. The CIA traffics in lies in every thing it does, so why don't people realize that what the CIA says is just lies? The only possible reasons can be ignorance or stupidity.

    "The CIA Misled me"
    darkeforce
    by darkeforce  5-23-2009
Now we know that they did mislead Nancy. Now that other people who supposedly attended the meeting when Waterboard was brought up have confirmed that the meeting never occurred. The CIA lies for a living; it should be no surprise that they lied about the intelligence and information they told Congress about.

You think the right-wingers are actually going to correct their slander, now that other members of that same board have come forward to say that the meeting where Nancy Pelosi supposedly heard about and approved waterboarding never actually happened? The CIA lied. It's their job to lie, to everyone.

This is a travesty of justice. Those CIA agents should be facing charges of war crimes, at the very least.
