POPSHousing is falling much faster than reported Even as a little as a few months ago, the deniers were still out in full force, saying that everything was going to be just fine. Now even the NAR is owning up to the trouble they've helped cause, and it's probably a lot worse than they're saying.

POPSSuccessful Sons The fourth man replied, "Well, my son is gay and a go-go dancer at a gay bar." The other three men grew silent as he continued, "I'm not totally thrilled about the dancing job, but he must be doing well. His last three boyfriends gave him a house, and brand new Mercedes, and a stock portfolio."

POPSWho is really helping Africa? (It ain't Bono!) Is there not a newer and softer form of colonialism, that of international aid? Not that aid to foreign countries is a bad thing, but it is when we treat entire nations as if they were children incapable of learning to take care of themselves. Our snide paternalism and unchecked egotism have ensured that almost all our efforts to help the developing world have instead only hurt them. It seems that every time somebody does something for Africa, or the rest of the developing world, they are really just doing it for themselves. Which is why at the end of the day, the movie stars and millionaires get what they were looking for and go home, while Africa suffers on.

POPS "it's a disgrace ". says Mrs Witherall widow of Mr. Witherall. Mr Witherall's family said it makes a mockery of the justice system. However, A Prison Service spokesman said if a prisoner is found to have a mobile it is confiscated and they are placed in solitary confinement and have any privileges taken away. Sounds to me like they didn't find it.

POPSIKEA Village: A Community of Affordable Pre-Fab Homes Ikea is currently building a village of pre-fab homes in the UK: Creating a community of affordable homes. These homes will be like nothing else seen before in the UK and will play an important role in helping first-time buyers who have until now been unable to get on the property ladder due to the spiralling costs of buying a house. While Ikea will market the houses, Live Smart @ Home will build them. It will ask buyers to prove they are within the set income bracket and to register their interest online. Demand is expected to be so high that a lottery will then determine who becomes the first "Ikea villagers".
