The Talk Radio News Service
creepysleepy
by creepysleepy  1-1-2008    1
Today we launched the new iteration of the Talk Radio News Service website! As you know, I’m the Chief United Nations Correspondent for TRNS, as well as their social media consultant. We’ve been hard at work redesigning this new site for quite some time, and hope that you find it a useful place for disseminating news from Washington DC, the United Nations, and the Presidential Campaign Trail. There may still be a few bugs lurking, so as we continue to improve this space we’d love your feedback and comments. There’s a helpful little tutorial video over on the Help page. Thanks!

Choose or Snooze Campaign Coverage Pipe
creepysleepy
by creepysleepy  1-3-2008    1
I made a Pipe a while back that pulls in a ton of campaign and political news from a variety of both social and traditional media sources. It's a bit quirky, but this far the Pipe has spit out some GREAT campaign news - very up-to-the-second and very has culled some fantastic stories.

Republicans would be wise to tab McCain and Huckabee
creepysleepy
by creepysleepy  12-2-2007
I think this is a fantastic pairing, and quite possibly a winning one. Both McCain and Huckabee gross me out on a number of levels, but if their goal is to beat Hillary...

McCain Begins New Hampshire Blitz
creepysleepy
by creepysleepy  12-29-2007
I suspect that McCain is going to wipe the floor with Romney - at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if McCain took the nomination. He has the experience card, strong on war but anti torture, and while he may not be the evangelical's first choice, they will vote for him before Romney.

Slate runs the Campaign Junkie ever election cycle. Their writing is substantive and informative, but never lacking in humor or wit. I listen to the Slate podcast right after NPR's 7 am news and the NYT front page - it's essential. Want to be more informed but not bored to death during this election? Subscribe to Slate.

McCain Takes On Clinton, With an Eye to Civility
creepysleepy
by creepysleepy  11-19-2007
McCain is due for a resurgence - I see his efforts in New Hampshire boosting his profile. He won't be a front runner, but he may win enough delegates to still be a player come nomination time.

These people, in part, helped organize the Operation Live Free or Die rally. They're NOT dirty hippie protesters, but rather intelligent, articulate, former-tech employees. They know their issues and they know how to articulate them.

Finally, the Republicans find their evangelical 'successor' to Bush. Romney's campaign is doomed - a respectable showing in Iowa puts Romney on the path towards nomination.

Another interesting, slick use of social media to cover the 2008 presidential campaign - nice interface, poll information, money data - this campaign will be very 2.0verloaded.
