POPSRob Gonsalves' Artwork His artwork is exquisitely beautiful with a childlike imagination and innocence that is rather uncommon in adults. These images were found at http://haha.nu/amazing/seamless-pictures/ (via my husband while perusing a Something Awful Forum thread). Enjoy!

POPSMiniature Bag End - Inspirational
To bring a fictional world only viewed by the mind to life is usually thought to be possible only by movie crews funded by large production companies -- the Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Chronicles of Narnia come first to mind -- but people like Obelia medusa (from LiveJournal) prove that ingenuity, creativity and sheer will power can make virtually anything possible. I stumbled across this LiveJournal entry months ago and still find myself revisiting it to view the intricate details of such a wonderful and amazing project. I truly admire her for her dedication to complete such a project. I can only imagine the amount of time, work and effort that went into planning, researching, finding and buying supplies, and constructing such an amazing miniature recreation of Bilbo and Frodo's Bag End. I have clipped only a handful of the volume of photos from Obelia medusa's post. Please visit her page for more images. The story and in-progress photographs are also linked from her post.

POPSPaper Cuts -- Clean, Beautiful and Perfect I discovered these breathtaking paper creations some time ago, but never got around to blogging about such a deserving topic. The web page link laid dormant in my bookmarks until today when I was conducting my regular computer and bookmark cleaning. I've seen this type of artwork in person before, but those pieces (no pun intended) were created from very small sheets of paper that measured approximately 6 x 8 inches. The sculptures featured in this blog entry are simply exquisite. I can not begin to imagine how much tedious planning went into each piece before any cut was made. I am amazed at the perfection of each incision and fold. I wish I had more to say, but I am simply in awe.
