POPSPope correcting Jesus I don't care what the pope says, I much prefer Jesus Christ's definition of a church, which I included in my cartoon today, says Bob Englehart, who created this cartoon, in his blog .

POPSPope: So, you're not Catholic? Then you're not in true Church What do you think of this one, from your beloved Pope, Catholics? Please show me in scripture where Jesus talks about having to through the Pope rather than Gods himself? Also please do not recite Mathew 16: 13-20, the rock is not Peter but his confession, as being the rock and foundation of the church.

POPSBlair has risked the anger of Israel by suggesting its time to talk to HAMAS I distrust Blair's conversions. There was his conversion to become Bush's lap-dog and we had the illegal Iraqi Invasion. There was his conversion to Catholicism when I believes that a non-Christian faith was where he was at! Clearly this conversion is not taken seriously by many!? Search and you will find that ONLY the three sources quoted here carried his conversion. It never happened folks in it's not in the Zionist media!!! Obviously Blair then is totally offside in this. Clearly he is now prepared to mouth off if the money is right. This time it was The Times of London's money. When you brown nose for as long now as he has in the Bush trough, then truth and reality become very distant! Yesterday's man.

POPS'They've Stolen our Water, now our SEA' "The illegality of the actions and orders of the army cries out to the heavens. This is a clear case of misusing security considerations as camouflage for achieving other goals which are unrelated to security matters and unacceptable." The Association of Civil Rights (Acri) petition said.

POPSA Fresh Look At Catholicism Some good news from the article and one reason I am a Catholic: "In one session, religious scholar Angel Galindo Garcia discussed the role of the church in an era of globalization. He referenced George Orwell's Big Brother and critiqued growing inequality between rich and poor nations. However, I had to laugh out loud at this quote: "Can one be a homosexual without ever having sexual relations with a person of the same sex?" she asked the crowd rhetorically and then answered: "Yes, of course." Save your questions for later kiddies! OMG, do you know how CRAZY I drove my nuns in catethism class with questions? I was almost held hostage by my fellow classmates once for questioning the dogma of purgatory as a place rather than a state of being. The teacher LOVED me though. It's the first time I saw him come alive in that class.

POPSThe movie 2012 is Al Qaeda propaganda. "But there's one place that Emmerich wanted to demolish but didn't: the Kaaba, the cube-shaped structure located in the center of Mecca. It's the focus of prayers and the site of the Hajj, the biggest, most important pilgrimage in Islam. "Well, I wanted to do that, I have to admit," the filmmaker told scifiwire.com. "But my co-writer Harald said, 'I will not have a fatwa on my head because of a movie.' And he was right."

POPSAgainst Islamic Extremism It is for this reason that one must approach Islam from Islamic sources if one wants to understand it. This doesn’t mean one will have to accept all that one reads, nor that one can’t be critical after you have studied it: but you will then be able to be critical of something which is true and representative of the faith, not something made up.

POPSEarly American Christians Opposed Christmas Christmas used to be opposed, not promoted. The mark of being a true Christian, for most in early America, was not observing Christmas, but strongly condemning and resisting its establishment by government. This article gives a brief and fair summary of Christian resistance. Every church, if they are courageous enough, should require this to be read if they want to present a "fair and balanced" view of history next time they complain about "taking Christ out of Christmas" when most of their Christian forefathers thought it was a corrupt "holy day" practice altogether, even when more religious. The article details that what was resisted by Christians has now again been slowly "established" by U.S. government: In 1836, Alabama became the first state to make Christmas a legal holiday. Other states followed... 2007, will be the centenary of Christmas being the first religious holiday whose celebration across the United States is sanctioned by law.

POPSPope: Limbo Does Not Exist The new doctrine brings Catholicism in line with Islam, which also believes that all children go to Heaven. There is some speculation that this move is an attempt to make Catholicism more competitive in Africa, although of course the church denies this.

POPSCondemned to Die: Abortion in Latin America "In this profession, we see all kinds of things, like people using witchcraft, to whatever pills they can get their hands on," said a doctor, who charges about $45 to carry out abortions in women's homes. He spoke on condition that his name not be used, because performing an abortion in Colombia can lead to a prison term of more than four years. "They open themselves up to incredible risks, from losing their reproductive systems or, through complications, their lives," the doctor said. Such arguments have done little to sway an anti-abortion movement that is largely led by influential leaders of the Roman Catholic Church.

POPSBush 'may convert to Catholicism' Yesterday the Vatican was seething at rumours that there was much more to it than protocol: George Bush, lifelong Methodist, was about to convert. The Vatican differs from the White House on immigration and the death penalty but on other issues including stem cell research, gay marriage and abortion there has been, as the Catholic daily L'Avvenire put it, "total harmony." .. Independent He'll have to become a Christian first, won't he?

POPSTesting Ireland's new blasphemy law Ian O'Doherty's blasphemous statement: So, here we go -- Catholicism is a cannibal cult which eats its leader, Jews who believe that God wants them to settle in the Holy Land are deranged lunatics, Muslims who wants to install Islamic law are nothing but fascist terrorists and Scientologists are nothing but a bunch of brainwashed weirdos who have been suckered by the malicious rantings of a failed science-fiction writer. Alright lads, I'll see you in court.

POPSRome Is A Little Village "In the interview, he blamed psychologists for advising bishops that perpetrators could be treated and returned to work, and he blamed the Vatican’s tribunals for spending years debating whether to remove abusers from the priesthood. In one case, he said, the Vatican courts took so long deciding whether to defrock a priest who had abused dozens of deaf students that the priest died before a decision was reached. “The concern was more about the priests than about the victims,” Archbishop Weakland said."

POPSUS Catholic women face showdown with Vatican next week Leadership Conference of Women Religious next week "could be the last major struggle over a way of understanding what it means to be Catholic" - "on women’s ordination, the primacy of Roman Catholicism and homosexuality," on retaining the Vatican II ethos or yielding to the hard-line views of the last two popes.

POPSEvery Ideology is Right Originally clipped by a non-thinker. I thought I would re-clip to add insight and clarity. This statement is true. Every ideology IS right. There is nothing inherently evil in ANY ideology. It may be that the ideology I despise most..Fascsim..is the best political ideology there is, and I believe it may be. Here is the rub. You cannot take any ideology in a vacuum. The best ideology for the current state of humanity is the one which allows for the greatest expression of liberty. Since, the closest one that allows for this happens to exist under the framework of Jeffersonian Democracy in this Republican system of government.
