So there, now that THAT's irrefutable, here's what will happen - the poles melt (both the ones at the ends of the earth and the ones in Europe), all manner of frozen bacteria, viruses (virii?) and dinner get unleashed on an unsuspecting and evolutionally ill-prepared planet. The devastation is complete. New (or rather, old) diseases infect and eventually wipe out life on earth. Once all the people are gone, there will be nobody left to stop the motions set in place by the Kyoto treaty following nations, which will spiral out of control, snowballing into a period of global cooling, colding and eventual freezing - but only for about 8 million years or so...
