I craved milk with the first one, and orange juice with the second one. What does that say?

Towards the end of WW2, Denmark was starving. It was the grandchildren of ladies who were impregnated during this period that XXX was passed on to. I think it was the lack of folic acid but maybe not.

Similar results were first noted in England where there were chalk and cheese results between the factory girls and country maids. The country girls lesser wage was compensated by a good diet on the gentry's farm as against the poor diet and living conditions of the near slums in the towns.

You are what your granny eats! I think if you are female. Sorry that I'm not more exact with details.

BS... it's down to what they're inherently taught during their formative years, not in the womb

The womb does play a part, Soulgirl. Both my kids are big fans of the foods I craved.

There are a few superstitions on what to eat and what not to eat while pregnant so that the child turns out in a certain way. One of the sillier ones that has definitely been disproved is that if a mother ate twin bananas, she would bear twins.

On a side note, what you eat when you breastfeed has an effect, too. My youngest brother was born in the States, and he kept having these rashes. My mother suggested to her American doctor that it might be something she was eating and passing through her breastmilk. The doctor disagreed and told her to try all kinds of different treatments, but my brother's rashes wou...

very interesting and I totally believe this, too. Everything my mum liked and ate and likes now, I like and eat now too. (Luckily it wasn't junk food!)
Also, my mum listened to a type of music b4 I was born and I dig that music now.

By any measure, it's a marvel—as a work of art, as an article of devotion, as a testament to the richness of hand-made craftwork. But who's going to take it outside and beat it? Long known for its delicate and ornate Persian rugs, Iran has recently been losing market share to cheaper Asian manufacturers, according to industry reports
