POPSTeaching hate - Proof ignorance exists among parents This photo and others like it make me very angry. Anger towards the parents that are using their children to promote hate and intolerance. Bigotry and hate are yet alive and well in our society and we need to ban together to aid in eliminating it. The photo is sad. The photo is a lie. I can hear Jesus now saying, "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do." And I am sure that these children have no clue what they are depicting by wearing these (rags) shirts. We all know it happened the last two elections and it could very well happen again. In fact, I think it's highly likely, they'll try. They've had eight years to rig the setup even more and I do not see the republicans having any intentions of playing fair, as their campaigning methods and the last eight years have shown. POPSAmericans and Nudity being dutch, my mama as well as my aunts have no shame. i've grown up seeing them naked about the house as though it was normal. my aunt monique is more than willing to show you her rack, even if you don't ask. the question here is - does everyone *want* to see us naked? probably not. i'm sure it depends. though, having little shame myself, i wouldn't mind being naked in my garden...

POPSTurkey censors Wordpress; blogs can't be accessed When I tried to post a new entry to my blog a few minutes ago, I came across this page. It says: "Access to this site has been suspended in accordance with decision no: 2007/195 of T.C. Fatih 2.Civil Court of First Instance." At first, I thought it was my blog but after trying to access Wordpress.com's main page, I noticed the total Wordpress.com domain was blocked by the authorities. Another ridiculous example of censorship on the Internet content, in Turkey. there are hundred thousands of blogs on Wordpress.com and none can be accessed from Turkey now. This decision of the court is a shame for a country which claims to respect free speech. I protest this unfair blockage on Wordpress and call all the Turkish bloggers to support free speech and to condemn censorship.

Many intuited that Adkisson's rampage was exactly the kind of rancid fruit that would inevitably take root in an American countryside thickly composted with two decades of hate radio bullshit. That suspicion was verified in the days that followed, when police searched Adkisson's apartment and found it filled with books and newsletters penned by Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, and other right-wing hate talkers. Our radio hate talkers incited a man to commit an act of terrorism. Just sit a minute and take that in. And it doesn't sound all that dissimilar to a rant (minus the death threat) directed at me recently for posting a clip challenging conservative orthodoxy: "You and your socialist friends are America’s main enemy, more so than Al Qaeda."

POPSThou And Thou Only Well, first there is denial. You gotta get them well. Then there is anger. Why me? I didn't sign up for this; well, whoops, actually I did. THEN, comes the guilt. Like the guilt of wanting to do things together like you used to when your spouse was well. The guilt of having feelings that you have to close down like feeling sorry for your God damned well ass. But they forget to mention the shame. You are in another closet of sorts, pretending to everyone that everything is ok so people don't feel "sorry" for you in their smug superiority of comparing your life which sucks to their oh so much better one. And of course the fear and isolation, even though you are around ppl all the time; it never goes away. Sexual fears slowly become your reality. Ah, and then comes acceptance. Oh wait, maybe your spouse will get better? As you can see, dear readers, I'm not there quite yet.

POPSA Texas Church Cancels a Funeral.....the deceased was GAY! Unbelievable! A nondenominational mega-church offers to plan and pay for the funeral of the brother of one of its members, reneges on the deal at the last minute when they discover the deceased was gay. The pastor said some of the photos that were to be displayed at the service showed hugging of two men. The mother wanted those pictures shown. The pastor felt that the mother of a murderer wouldn't expect to display photos of her son committing a murder, so why should this woman want to display a photo of her son indicating he is gay. This is enough to make me want to vomit. I am so sick of religious hypocrites causing pain for innocent and good people because of their own inborn sickness. Shame on this church and its so-called spiritual leader. My wish is for him to become a spirit as soon as possible.
