POPSWhat to do if you don't have a stamp... It turns out that it worked and this guy put a 5 cent tip on the corner for the postal worker's "trouble".. which you can see got torn off... I wonder if a new era of "reusable stamps" will be born from this?

POPSWorld's Smallest Postal Service You know who would love to get a very small letter with a magnifying glass to read it? Kids. What a super surprise for the child in your life. I have made some (not this small) for my daughter (and no fancy wax seal either). She still has them. The applications are endless!

POPSOur Idiot President Compares ObamaCare to the Postal Service Not to mention, UPS and FedEx don’t compete with the post office for mail delivery. They are not legally allowed to. And the subsidized post office is billions and billions in the red. The Government can’t handle a basic task like delivering the mail, but they’re going to run health care like a Swiss clock… you betcha!

POPSThe Advocate Comes Out of the Closet The Advocate started out 40 years ago as a pretty sleazy affair that not only contained some news of interest to the community but also published some of the most graphic and some considered revolting personal ads one could imagine. Then they split the classifieds into a separate publication and started actually concentrating on real news. They began receiving international awards for their work, and today they are the preeminent news source for the LGBT community and its friends. I have followed the Advocate over all its years of existence and I am proud of their accomplishments and I continue to be a loyal subscriber all these years. I applaud the new truth in mailing policy.

POPSObama is Right If the private companies are better (as the president admits), then why do we need the public option? Congress will do the same thing with health care that it has done in the past, subsidize the government option and drive the private companies out of business. Freeing up the system, not bureaucratizing it, will make health care better and cheaper.

POPSControversial Sheik in chains outside court Pity the law process is taking so long with this unbalanced person. Time to go where his efforts will be appreciated. He must be such an embarrassment to religious, rather than political, Muslims

POPSGeorge Washington Goes Postal Franklin served in the position until late 1776 (when he was sent to France) and while in office, he did much of the initial work, setting up postal routes and rate charges. Fifteen years later, the Revolution had ended, the Constitution had been written and ratified, and States were joining the Union. And the Constitutional Post was there, well-established and functional and growing with the size of the country. The Postal Service Act simply gave Postmaster General more power to organize and standardize the postal system. Timothy Pickering would be the first official U.S. Post Office Postmaster General (he held the position when the President signed the legislation), and the Post Office would remain a part of the Federal Government until 1971, when it became an independent government agency called the United States Postal Service.

POPSThe Allure of the Forever Stamp On May 12 the price of a stamp is rising by one cent. (a 2.4 percent increase). Right now you have the opportunity to lock in the 41 cent price forever. Is there any doubt, given the cost of gasoline, that the price will be rising again soon? This might rank as one of the best investments opportunities for businesses in a long time. The stamp is quite handsome as you can see.
