POPSAn Indian Hymn to Obama America needs more money. Much of the infrastructure is second rate or crumbling. The education system calls for renovation. Almost half the population has no health cover. A completely new social security system needs to be put together . The disparities have reached unacceptable level...The US economy, in other words, has hit a wall. A deadend has come. A complete change of course is necessary. The question is to provide the country a more sustainable future. Obama's challenge is on the one hand to shepherd his countrymen through the present downturn. At the same time, he needs to explain to them that physical resources are finite. He must underscore that America needs to get to save again both at the national and family level. He is striding a political minefield. He will have to sound convincing when he says he does not hold a magic wand to wave the situation away.

POPSHollywood to produce Atlas Shrugged I'm beginning to believe Angelina Jolie might actually have some sense. Her recent remarks pertaining to Africa and Iraq suggest she has a decent mind. This movie proves it. I am a bit skeptical in the ability of Hollywood to do this film justice. It will be interesting.

"That topic will come up, on both sides. He'll get asked about it," said former State Department Mideast analyst Graeme Bannerman. "He's got to remember he's speaking to Americans - he's in a campaign, after all - even if that means he has to say things that make the locals very nervous."

POPSA man–mongoose–robot team takes on Sri Lankan minefields A Sri Lankan engineer controls a robot which in turn guides a mongoose around a minefield. The mongoose sniffs for explosives and is trained to sit up when he finds one. The mongoose, by the way, isn't at risk; he's not big enough to trip a mine himself.
