    Who would Jesus torture
    Geshizar
    by Geshizar  12-11-2007    125
Welcome to the new Christianity. Or is it The new BS. Maybe those of you who would condone torture during the week and attend your temples and cathedrals on Sunday truly don't believe in your God. Why else would you make an argument for rather then against. Now it shouldn't bother me I,m a heathen, fortunately I still maintain a since of moral decency, you know, like what is written in some of those dumb ass documents like the CONSTITUTION and THE BILL OF RIGHTS. If all you so called people of faith would get together there would be more then enough voices to effect a change, right? After all yours is the moral outraged, just and family oriented party is it not? Just like to say Thank you for living up to my worst suspicions. The entire lot are self-righteous, blathering hypocrites.

    9/11 Is Over
    debbyski

"We can’t afford to keep being this stupid! We have got to get our groove back. We need a president who will unite us around a common purpose, not a common enemy. Al Qaeda is about 9/11. We are about 9/12, we are about the Fourth of July — which is why I hope that anyone who runs on the 9/11 platform gets trounced."

And how do the majority of Americans feel about this, well to quote from the article on last year "Summer War" this is the American reaction: "In the current conflict, do you think the United States should take Israel's side, take the side of Hezbollah, or not take either side? Israel's - 31% Hezbollah's - 0% Neither - 65%"

"I would ask the congressman to ... tell us what he meant," said Rudy. A fair question and a crucial question. When Ron Paul said the 9-11 killers were "over here because we are over there," he was not excusing the mass murderers of 3,000 Americans. He was explaining the roots of hatred out of which the suicide-killers came. Lest we forget, Osama bin Laden was among the mujahideen whom we, in the Reagan decade, were aiding when they were fighting to expel the Red Army from Afghanistan. We sent them Stinger missiles, Spanish mortars, sniper rifles. And they helped drive the Russians out. Osama bin Laden in his declaration of war in the 1990s said it was U.S. troops on the sacred soil of Saudi Arabia, U.S. bombing and sanctions of a crushed Iraqi people, and U.S. support of Israel's persecution of the Palestinians that were the reasons he and his mujahideen were declaring war on us. Finally, Rudy's 9/11 Lies are Being Exposed
    zasel
    by zasel  10-26-2007    3
I've been waiting impatiently, for Mr. Giuliani's lies to begin catching up with him. He has been running all over the country claiming to be an "expert on terrorism," and Islamofascism. Some voters, outside the New York metropolitan area, are falling for his story hook, line and sinker. But now, his own words given during testimony he gave to the 9/11 commission are leaking into the media, and it tells a very different story. It presents a person who knows virtually nothing about terrorism, al Qaeda or bin Laden. He proves the falsity of his claims concerning the inadequate radios his fire fighters were forced to use that fateful day, along with other information that paints a very different picture from the one he has been unveiling for the public during the campaign.

Little Evidence Of Jihadists in U.S.
    cptenaud
    by cptenaud  10-16-2007    12
Accordingly this report will hopefully be yet another nail pounded into this administration's coffin of lies and distortions. The only war on terror is the one being waged against the American people by the neocon reactionaries in the White House seeking to rule by fear, intimidation and the destruction of the constitution. Curious isn't it, after a flurry of color-coded alerts designed to instill fear immediately preceeding the 2006 elections, lo and behold there were suddenly no more. Miraculously all fell quiet on the Western Front; the manipulation, was we are winning the war and keeping the people safe. Don't bet that you won't see them again soon though, there's an election on the horizon and the sheep will need a reminder. The study, "Suggests the presence of few, if any, prevalent terrorist threats currently within the U.S. The vast majority of cases turn out to include no link to terrorism once they go to court."

Giuliani Is Simply Incapable of Being Truthful
    zasel
    by zasel  12-23-2007    1
I hope many of you will take the time to read this entire article. Giuliani, the more he is interviewed, the more unstable he appears. His constant laughter when questions are asked of him, belies his strong, tough, stage persona, and reveals someone who is so uncomfortable facing the facts of who he really is and what he sincerely believes that it is actually painful to watch. His excuses for the radios is sadder than it is anger provoking.

Blitzer: If it came down to a preemptive US strike against Iran’s nuclear facility, if necessary would you authorize as president the use of tactical nuclear weapons? Hunter, Giuliani, Gilmore, and Romney were the only ones directly asked the question, but five others—Senator John McCain, Senator Sam Brownback, Congressman Tom Tancredo, former Wisconsin Governor Tommy Thompson, and former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee—had ample opportunity to object or to distinguish their positions from this endorsement of mass murder. Only one candidate chose to do so, Congressman Ron Paul of Texas

His biggest mistake was not realizing that the more people got to know him, the more they'd see what a phony he is. His best strategy would have been to be everywhere - make little appearances t talk about what a hero he is (at least he thinks so) and then get out of town.

And if your "brand" of Christianity doesn't conform with what they deem appropriate you're as much on the outside as any non-believer. Maybe those depicted in the video are not of the Fred Phelps ilk, they are much more of a danger because of their numbers and organizational influence in politics. You've been warned!

The Hero Mayor of 9/11 is Slowly Being Unmasked
    zasel
    by zasel  5-22-2007    4
Mr. Giuliani is always willing to take bows for being the great hero of 9/11, but as time passes and certainly in the full light of the upcoming presidential election campaign, the truth about "America's Mayor" will come to the fore and the country will see what a card carrying phony this guy really is. Just look at the people with whom he is associated. Just one example; Bernie Kerick. Need I say more?

cont.--virtue, and vision with qualities we are ashamed to face: anger, fear, revenge, violence, selfishness, and suspicion of 'the other.' For millions of Americans, Obama triggers those feelings, but they don't want to express them. He is calling for us to reach for our higher selves, and frankly, that stirs up hidden reactions of an unsavory kind. (Just to be perfectly clear, I am not making a verbal play out of the fact that Sen. Obama is black. The shadow is a metaphor widely in use before his arrival on the scene.) I recognize that psychological analysis of politics is usually not welcome by the public, but I believe such a perspective can be helpful here to understand Palinʼs message. In her acceptance speech Gov. Palin sent a rousing call to those who want to celebrate their resistance to change and a higher vision. Read the rest, pls, for details...

I suppose this would be a boon to the Democrates? A similar occurance happened in Canada when the wackier elements of the PC party broke off to create the Reform Party, giving Liberals rule of Canada for almost two decades. But then Canada has many splinter parties dividing up the votes in weird ways including the NDP (left), Bloc Quebecois (intent on actually breaking up the country), Greens (growing in support), as well as the much missed Rhinoceros Party of Canada .
