McEntee led workers in chanting a barnyard epithet to describe Senate Finance Committee chairman Max Baucus’s health care bill, which would levy a new tax on expensive health care plans. He published an op-ed in U.S.A. Today warning, in terms that could be used against Democrats in the midterms, that the plan could tax the middle class and cost workers their health care. And he blew off a plea from White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and published an open letter promising to “oppose” legislation that contained the tax – published over the objections, several labor officials said, of other union presidents whose names appeared on the letter.

Because corporations are "evil" in your nightmares or did you confuse it with an episode of "Fringe". Moan for me libs. Moan about America and whine because Americans, Bill and Melinda Gates, just blew your mind. Where's that fatty Michael Moore-on anyway? Probably sitting in Krispy Kreme or Dominoes Pizza stuffing his fat face. I know this news isn't as important as the Christians eating fried chicken at the Baptist Church, but who could compete with a horror show like that. Remembering 9/11, Eight Years Later
    merrie
    by merrie  9-12-2009
the ideological battlefield. As someone who was galvanized into a political awakening and eventual transformation by 9/11, it has been disheartening to see the country slide back into somnolence. Indeed, I have wondered at times whether we have entered a post-post-9/11 age. I believe the memory still lingers in our collective consciousness, but it has retreated to the farther reaches. When one looks at history, this depressing pattern emerges time and time again. One has to wonder if human beings generally don't learn from history, but rather, are doomed to make the same mistakes over and over again. Jolted out of slumber every so often by horrific events, we then sink back into oblivion once the threat no longer seems urgent. A few will always stand on the sidelines trying to bring attention to the looming threat of the day, but by and large, we only listen when forced. Nonetheless, the fight must go on, for the alternative is far too frightening.

What party really has our best interest in mind when it comes to keeping the citizens of this country safe?

Liberal Presuppositions: Why Leftists ARE America’s “Domestic Enemy”
    clip-on-tie
    by clip-on-tie  8-23-2009    2
From a presuppositional perspective, liberals and radical leftists adhere to some basic beliefs: * White conservatives are racist * God is a myth * Evolution is fact * Criminals are merely a product of their environment * The rich should pay for the poor * All poor whites are uneducated rednecks * All rich whites manipulate every aspect of society for their personal benefit * The Constitution is a “living document” and can be altered at will * Liberals are incapable of being racist * Blacks are incapable of being racist How sick that liberals would dare gripe about anti-obama demonstrations when idiot leftists were carrying around signs to murder George Bush. Gross. Just disgusting. One point to clarify about "men and women cannot control their sexual behavior." I take that to mean their "promiscuity", not whether or not they are gay or straight.       Now we have a government that wants to baby-sit us and make all of our decisions for us. I guess some people need that--mainly the people who voted to put these charlatans in office. It’s high time that those people learned to stand on their own two feet and take care of themselves. We cannot afford, nor do we want, to be their babysitters any longer. The whole purpose of the Constitution is to define the federal government and to establish a separation of powers between federal authority and the states. That is why the enumerated powers specified in Article 1, Section 8 were then reinforced with the 9th and 10th Amendments, to make the federal limitations perfectly clear to anyone reading the document.

"I said this yesterday, I'll say this again: while I appreciate that you all have decided that every town hall meeting ends in pushing, shoving and yelling...they're not completely indicative of what's going on in America." Still, the administration will continue trying to rebut attacks on Obama's proposals, he said. "I think he believes very strongly, as we talked about yesterday, that it is important to address misconceptions or misimpressions that have been left out there about the bills. I do believe that the president feels strongly that when he makes his case, it helps the case for overall health care reform," Gibbs told reporters during his daily briefing. Chuck Todd Reports O.1 Percent Drop in Unemployment

The Obama White House already planning their own "Morning in America" Ad Campaign for 2011-2012! "Morning in America" was President Ronald Reagan's ad theme during the 1984 campaign which followed the stunning turnaround in the U.S. economy during Reagan's first term of tax cuts and doing everything possible to help businesses. But because unemployment took a minuscule drop, they are already comparing it to what Reagan accomplished, even though Obama has done everything opposite what Reagan did. It was too much even for fellow panelist Susan Page of USA Today who immediately interjected that "Morning in America" was preceded by Reagan losing 26 seats in Congress in the 1982 mid-term election, suggesting that may be what is more realistic for Obama to expect. He wrote about his experiences in The Motorcycle Diaries and ultimately became a symbol for everyone from idealists fighting for the downtrodden to vendors looking for an easy way to sell T-shirts to college kids.<< much more at the source

Obama has set a series of false notes in foreign policy by standing silently as huge crowds in Iran courageously protested a stolen election and failing to support Honduras against a Chavez-like attempt to avoid the rules of a democracy. He has not even been consistent: in the first case, he feared being characterized as the Wild “Meddling” West; in the second, he had no compunctions against major meddling. In another sense, however, he was consistent. In both cases he failed to support the people who were standing up, which makes his rhetoric in Russia still another false note.

Unfortunately they are rarely found in markets around the world because they spoil very quickly after being picked. The bell-shaped fruits are crisp, crunchy and have a delicious fresh flavor. It can be eaten whole but as with apples, many people prefer to leave the core. Rose Apples are also boiled in hot water to make scented Rose Water.

    Ernest Hemingway a KGB spy?

    by clip-on-tie  7-11-2009    1
Named “Agent Argo” by his KGB handlers, he was a considered a reluctant, dilettante spy who met with his handlers several times but never delivered. Hemingway is reported to have been recruited in 1941, before making a trip to China. The book quotes one of his handlers as indicating Hemingway “repeatedly expressed his desire and willingness to help us.” Based on his failure to provide any political information, the KGB stopped meeting with him by the end of the 1940s. It is not known whether Hemingway was committed to the communist cause or perhaps using the adventure as research for some future work, but it certainly adds a new element to what is known about Papa Hemingway.

Socialist policies suck. They're not good for any of us. From the article: "They believe the socialist policies of the Democrat Party harm blacks, rather than help them, and serve to further racial tensions through victim-mongering." "Chairman Rice spells out how the socialism of the Democrat Party uses a “despicable..strategy …to keep blacks poor, angry, and voting for Democrats.” And further, that “the socialist policies of the Democrats have destroyed the economic and social fabric of black communities.” "She states that there are two main reasons for black support of the Democrat Party, despite the fact that most blacks are generally conservative. First is the Democrats’ false branding of the Republican Party as being racist. And second, is the deeply-rooted belief that “the government must do something for blacks”. Whereas the Republican Party promotes self-sufficiency among the black community, the Democrat Party insists on blacks’ dependence on the government. "

The building will be prominently placed in a mostly black community. When you see ACORN minions protesting, getting petitions signed, or doing whatever destructive deeds ACORN wishes to perpetrate on the black community, you can bet that it will be mostly black people doing the bidding. Democrat slavery is alive and well, as it is a white slave Massa who is the overseer at ACORN. So every day, ignorant blacks hit the streets at the urging of Massa to institute policies that have gotten blacks NOTHING over the past six decades. Since ACORN’s founding by Wade Rathke in 1970’s the decline for blacks has accelerated, not gotten better…except for Rathke. Now that his brother has embezzled a few hundred thousands, Rathke has taken ACORN international…oh, and changed the name."
