POPSMary and the Moslems I believe that the Blessed Virgin chose to be known as "Our Lady of Fatima" as a pledge and a sign of hope to the Moslem people, and as an assurance that they, who show her so much respect, will one day accept her Divine Son, too.

POPSWere Hitler,Stalin,Potter possessed? As the exorcist pointed out, we are in a time when evil is again rearing its head in a way that is highly pronounced. "Father Amorth said he thought one reason why the devil's influence was high today is that Christian faith has weakened, replaced in many cases by superstition and an interest in the occult, which he said 'open the way to demonic influences,'" reported Catholic News Service, although this good news service, owned by the U.S. bishops, did not mention something else that Father Amorth has said: that one manifestation of the devil is Harry Potter.

POPSMother of the dying Thousands and thousands of souls, she asserted, who had not committed one twentieth as much evil as she, were eternally lost. " Ah," she exclaimed, "how lively are my sentiments of gratitude when I consider what our dear Heavenly Mother did for me in the last moments of my life! Had it not been for Mary, I, too, should have shared the fate of the reprobates. For all eternity shall my tongue proclaim the love, the goodness, the solicitude of this sweet Virgin; unceasingly my voice shall glorify her with canticles of praise and thanksgiving."

POPSI am the Immaculate Conception-Mary Many people, believe this refers to the conception of Jesus by Mary. Nearly every time this term is used in the mass media, it is in reference to the conception of Jesus by Mary. Because of this, the immaculate conception is sometimes jokingly referred to as "the immaculate misconception"

POPSMary not just for Catholics anymore As publications from Time magazine to Christianity Today have discovered recently, Mary, the mother of Jesus, is not just for Catholics anymore. Features on Mary are perennial favorites for editors looking for a religion-themed story before Christmas, and in the last few years many of these articles have focused on the increasing popularity of Mary among Protestants. Marianist Father Thomas Thompson, editor of the Marian Library Newsletter at the University of Dayton in Ohio, points out that the expanding Protestant acceptance of Mary is based upon a strictly scriptural view of her, rather than on any change in Protestant theology.

POPSFavourite Bible verses I grew up with the notion that you had to be "good" to get to heaven. The bible teaches us that no matter how "bad" you have been, you are still able to get to heaven simply by trusting in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Some denominations would have you believe that you also have to do good works (go to church every Sunday, give money, etc.) to be saved. The scriptures quoted above clearly show these "works" doctrines to be false.
