POPSU.N. on Israeli War Crimes
The Goldstone Report now has been approved overwhelmingly by the UN General Assembly. The report calls for Israel to investigate it's war crime accusations...and for the Palestinians to investiage theirs -- and says the slow starvation of over a million and half people in the Gaza Strip should stop. Now, it seems it goes to the Security Council. Which means, if things go as usual, the USA will veto it and it will end there. The USA has does similar actions at the UN for decades, protecting Israel, no matter what. The USA House of Congress has even gone on record, this week, opposing this war crimes report. Israel yesterday seized a ship with weapons and said they come from Iran and this was a war crime...also pointing out that Russia, the USA, China, etc. are all guility of war crimes. The conclusion appears to be that war is a war crime. Everybody's guilty. And let's just forget it. ...um, except when talking about the Nazi's of WWII or the Bosnian Serbs curre

POPSUN War Crime Accusations called Anti-Semitic.
The first thing to point out is that the South African judge in charge of this UN report is Jewish. So calling the report "anti-Semetic," is bizarre. Secondly, all criticism of Israel gets called "anti-Semetic," and this is an extreme example of that. (Since the judge in charge of the report is Jewish). No? Third, Most people are making their judgements based on actions -- like the blockade genocide in the Gaza Strip. It's fair enough and in fact moral to condemn this blockade (and it has nothing to do with racism). If racist accusation were allowed to avoid any criticism then during the evil rule of Hitler in Germany, he should have deflected any criticism by calling it "anti-German racism." No? Distress at the genocide of the Palestinian people, the slow starvation of over a million and a half people in the Gaza strip, has nothing to do with racism. End the blockade and much criticism would also end. It's a shame this ploy distract from looking at the real issues

POPSBarack Obama Wins Nobel Peace Prize
This news, announce today, appears to have surprised almost everyone. But what is no surprise is that if you are on the side on warmongers, neocons, racist, those who ok torture, corporate exploitation of people and the land than you want to destroy this president. If you have hopes for peace, progress in alternative energies and new directions, national health care, unions and decent wages than this is the man who is on the frontlines fighting for these things. Closing down the suicidal plans for putting nuke missiles on the border with Poland was one clear change that we can see -- because it meant direct European and USA military conflict with Russia. This fact maybe lost in the madness of 24-hour news but it was 4sure. That dangerous and unnecessary Bush Era program is ended...and Obama gets attacked at home by the warmongers for "backing down to Russia." Like the Nobel Committee said....we see he is for real, we see he is trying, and we add our hopes to his and encour

POPSIran? Secret? Nukes? Revealed?
Like a massive nuclear propaganda super spin bomb all news today is about the revelation of a second nuclear enrichment power plant in Iran. This "revelation," started 4 days ago when Iran told the world about it. The plant is not operational yet. But rather quickly, Britian, USA, France, Israel, etc. are acting and making statements like They Revealed this discovery. They are also acting like they discover a nuclear bomb factory instead of being told about a non-operational nuclear power facility. !? It's quite a massive propaganda blitz, well-timed, in the midst of the UN meeting, in the midst of the G-20 meeting, shortly before a meeting of Western Powers and Russia,China to discuss sanctions on Iran. And...the "secret," of Israel having nuke weapons and never telling the IAEA or anybody about what it's doing still is apparently forbidden to mention. It truly sounds like a major move, a lead up to starting a war. If it get's "fixed," in people's mind that Ira

POPSUN Says No Nukes! Now What? I think this is big news. U.S. President Obama might consider this the high point of his foreign policy, right now. But "the devil is in the details," -- the reality remains to be seen -- and are all these world leaders going to continue to pretend that Israel doesn't have nukes? This resolution could be twisted to become another excuse to go to war with Iran? Make life difficult for Iran? Or maybe actual steps to get rid of the world threat of weapons that are too dangerous to use? Certainly, the propaganda would make us fear "Islamic terrorist," running around with nukes in a suitcase -- and on the other side of the coin the "secret," not to be mentioned by the West, possession of nuies by unreasonable zionist extremist doesn't set well with many.

POPSKhadafy Speaks at U.N. The horrid translation on live TV are hard to believe. The following summary can't be any worse: 1. You folks in the General Assembly might as well be speaking at Hyde Park. 2. The veto power of five nations on the Security Council is unfair. 3. Continents and long recognized regional unions should have a permanent seat on the Security Council (like the African Union, EU, etc.) 4. General Assembly should be real power, not just Security Council. 5. No more Mickey Mouse 6. 65 wars since UN founded. 7. Nuclear power's do war/ terrorism too, killing millions. POPSRussia Scraps Missile Deployment Missile plans are certainly being moved around the war rooms of major powers. This step back from Bush era policies of aggression on the Russian border was a brave and wise decision.

POPSNew USA Missile Defense Strategy President Obama has ended plans to put missiles on the Russian border, in Poland. The Bush plans were stated to be as a protection from Iran. Russia considered missiles on its border to be a threat and was determined to stop the project, threatening a military strike and also targeting European cities with nukes.

POPSColumbian Protest Chavez This is another one of the Alice in Wonderland stories....the Colombian military and government are funded by the USA, a big part of the Great Drug Wars, covert military actions for decades going on. The real story now is U.S. troops going to Colombian bases...up to now it's been CIA and covert actions. One thing, it would be nice to honor the U.S. Constitution and "declare wars," rather than just slip and slid into them as we have been doing since WWII. Now we're in a era of endless lifetimes of global war...without the proper authorization required by the Constitution...thus, illegal, this, wrong. We infect Central and South America. We're in Africa. Killing Iraq and targeting Iran. Pressuring Russia on it's borders Like most imperialist the government and military has a long list of reasons...but if their reasons were honest then the proper procedures for declaring war would be honest too.

POPSRussia Charges US Is Rearming Georgia
This is abut the USA, Israel and the West trying to get oil and gas from the Caspian Sea. Georgia is critical for the pipeline. Amazingly, the Georgian Defense Minister is an Israeli (!) and an Israeli general is a prime advisor to their Georgian Army and was involved in starting last year's war. U.S. troops also there, on the ground; and NATO as well, even though Georgia is not in NATO but the West is trying to get it in. This headline is made at the same time, the same day, that Russian nuke subs are reported off the East Coast of the USA, the Cold War quickly being microwaved reheated. I think we should BUY and oil and natural gas we need and invest and develop more alternative energy and our own oil reserves if we have to. I hope we don't have to listen to any more propaganda about fighting for "peace and democracy," or twist it around to make it sound like Russia is the aggressor (on it's own border, while we're 12,000 miles from home) It's another war for B

POPSRussian nuke subs off USA East Coast
It seems the USA's non-stop lifetime of foreign wars and aggression is getting some push back. With impunity the USA sails nuke subs and aircraft carriers on the coast of Iran and Iraq...did the same in Vietnam....then blames the natives when they get "restless." We're also building a missile base in Poland, on the Russian border. We got troops and funding for the Republic of Georgia...we're trying to get to the world's largest reserve of gas and oil, in the Caspian Sea. If you go into a bear's cave, imo, and start poking around, we shouldn't be surprise if the beast becomes upset. I think this...along with the renewed air flights of nuke weapons bombers near the USA...and Russian making alliances in South America...shows a new Cold War has started: Cold War Two. Or Cold War Reheated. Or we're on 'pre-heat," for the baking up of new tensions. I'd suggest we BUY any oil and gas we might need and give up trying to steal it...and make progress with alternative energi

POPSMore U.S. Weapons to Republic of Georgia?
The Caspian Sea contains the largest know reserves of Oil and natural gas. Those of us who think stealing and exploiting natural resources think this is the reason for U.S. & Israeli military support of Georgia...and the reason for Russia pushing back against Georgia recent failed attempt at expansion. Expansion? -- Expansion to consolidate it's drip on Caspian Sea oil. Expansion for the BTC pipeline (See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Baku_pipelines.svg) This has routes that would take the greatest reserves of oil and natural gas in the world from the Caspian Sea to the Black Sea and to the EU/NATO countries. Also it goes through Turkey to the Mediterranean for export. Formerly all this oil and natural gas belonged to the Soviet Union. The final major part of this plan is an underwater Israeli-Turkish pipeline to the Israeli port of Ashkelon. For more info, contact British Petroleum's (BP) CEO, Lord Browne. POPSObamas tour slavers’ fort in ‘painful’ Ghana visit
This was the end of the President's recent overseas trip, first to Russia, then to the G8 in Italy, a visit to the Pope, then to the slave fortress. This clip has a wide range of pro and con and hostile international comments. Europeans seem very touchy and defensive about having it pointed out that slavery was not a U.S. invention. But the symbolism of the moment is not lost of hundreds of millions of blacks worldwide: For centuries they were treated like *hit and considered savage, half-humans and now one of their own returns, leader of one of the most powerful nations in world history. His message of "tough love," surprised several (but it's one of his themes), his idea of attacking the roots of the problem rather than the symptoms quite wise, and the comparisons (and differences) to The Holocaust we hear about every week rather illuminating. He got a few extra billion bucks for Africa out of the G8 and got back to the treaty with Russia to reduce nuke weapons. No

POPSPope Urges Lifting of Gaza Embargo
It's good to see that the slow starvation of over a million and a half people -- in front of the eyes of the world -- is running into more opposition every day. Every civilized nation should oppose this and demand it end. Although the Holocaust has nothing to do with this issue the Pope was asked about it again. It is such an amazing distortion of history and zionist propaganda to make this demand -- as if it had anything to do with the invasion of Palestine, setting up an apartheid state, collective punishment for a million and a half people for the last two years by the Gaza blockade, etc. -- see These Items Are the Issues. Russia, btw, celebrated their victory of Hitler's Germany this month. Their latest numbers of those killed in that war are staggering...really, really staggering. More than 8 million Russian soldiers killed and more that 27-million Russian civilians killed in WWII -- a total of 35-million war dead. Does anyone deny that? Or have you even heard abou

POPSU.S. wants Afghanistan to be "world's responsibilty."
I'm not sure if the world or most of us woke up realizing we've been assigned a new responsibility. Obama's come into office with more mess than Vietnam and with apparently the same political dictum: "We can't be defeated." This is a good idea if talking about defending your country but no such a great idea when it forces you to defend foreign aggression started with deliberately fabricated lies (the the UK and USA) in a no-win situation. It's also becoming clear that now another nation, Pakistan, is being identified as a problem. More info on other thread about this. I think I finally sense a 'master plan." Obama can't allow the "Fall of Kabul," so he's going to let the Russians back in (as they are asking). The U.S. doesn't like Muslims with nukes so this means take-over or "regime changes,' in Pakistan and to make this most 'hard and real,' Obama will let India in (as part of ongoing working together), eventually occupying Southern Pakistan. Iran surrounded. Ira

POPSRussia offer to help U.S. in Afghanistan
Russia seems quite adept at smacking you in the face and then offering a helping hand. I rate it as a dangerous country (and the USA no better) just for the fact that it knows how to lie like the UK and USA, etc. -- but I believe it has carefully thought about it's actions and is now using significant power. In one week the U.S. Afghanistan supply base in a former Soviet territory is ordered to shut down; the route for supplies to Afghanistan through Pakistan is shut down due to a major bridge blow up. Oil and gas supplies to Europe are turned on and off at will. It's building bases in the Georgia area, after defeating a U.S. sponsored Georgian invasion of former Soviet territories. It's backed down, I believe, the Bush Evil Empire plans for putting nuclear weapons on it's border, in Poland. It is splitting NATO and re-establishing a second Warsaw Pact. Lying policies of the UK and USA (like the war in Iraq) haven't helped. I think Obama has to fear the 'Fall of Kab

POPSFrance Backs Russia's Demand to Stop USA Missile Base in Poland
Also talk of a pan-European security pact. I'm stunned and impressed. I urge all Europe, all Europeans to support the French President. This was a for real nuclear showdown, like the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962. I really thought a city in Poland, or others in Europe were going to get nuked. NOTHING IS RESOLVED YET. The USA plans to put nukes on the Russian border are still in place. There is no way - because of American ideology about Russia - that Obama can stick his neck out and stop these missile base plans. But now BOTH France and Russia oppose them. If other EU countries join them -- if there is massive street protest (like some are doing in Poland and Czech Republic) this could give Obama an "excuse," -- to go along with the will of Europe; then he'd be going along with the will of Europe instead of backing down from the Russians. Plus - pan-European security pact? Gads! NATO out the window. NATO expansion out the windown. Boy, Bush really @#Red up. He IS

POPSUSA/Russian Nuke Missile Showdown -EU Talks
When you hear the news you get lots of spin sometimes. This clip has the bottom line: Russia will not put nuke missiles on it's border with Poland if the USA takes away it's nuke missiles from Poland. That's it. Don't believe these are not nuke missiles. Don't believe the USA is a nice peace loving country that's only interested in protecting itself. And, My God! --Don't believe, as this clip shows is in the article, don't believe that the USA putting nuke missiles in Poland on the Russian border is for protection from Iran. Protection from Iran!? Yet, this is what the USA tells it's citizens and tell the world. How frigging dumb ass do we have to be? (This is like the quality of other U.S. propaganda; it seems to be made up by the Muppets). THIS IS A SHOWDOWN. THIS IS A SHOWDOWN WITH NUCLEAR WEAPONS. IF THE USA DOES NOT BACK DOWN THE RUSSIANS WILL SHOT; THEY WILL NOT ALLOW NUKE WEAPONS ON THEIR BORDER. I foresee a nuke or two being set off in Europe.

When he woke up Nov. 5th Russia announced it was sending nuclear missiles to it's border in Poland (in response to a missile base the USA has been building there) Within two day there was the first 'diplomatic mis-communication.' The Polish Prime Minister announced that he had talk to Obama on the phone and Obama said the missile program was to continue under his new administration in the New Year. The Obama advisors told the news corp this wasn't true. Now Obama is having his first little chat with the Russian president on the phone. He's sitting on hotel chairs in the corner of a Holiday Inn. POPSSplit Over Russia Grows in Europe, Re: Missiles. Georgia
Russia moving up missiles to their border with Poland (in response to the USA missile base being built there) is no joke. The Russians have also said they have re-targeted their nukes to aim at European cities. This is no joke. Russia is right, imo, and it won't backdown. It can't let a warmongering nation like the U.S. A. put a nuke missile base right on it's border. This is like the Cuban missile crisis of the 60's, except the shoe is on the other foot - and full-tilt nuclear war was threatened. Is anybody in Europe reading this news? What are they going to do? I think hundreds of thousands of their lives are in danger and don't hear much talk or anything be done about it? Obama won't do anything on his own. (long story) IMO, if the people in Europe don't stop this U.S. missile base nobody else will and they are in grave danger. The missile base in Poland, btw, -- for the real joke...the USA claims is to protect against nuke missiles from Iran That mak

POPSRussia pledged to station new missiles near Poland's border
Countries don't like missile bases being put on their border (Even if it's claimed they are "defensive.") The USA, over the last two years, has pressured and bribed Poland and Czechoslovakia to corporate in putting such a missile base on Russia's border. Now the missile base has started construction in Poland and a radar system in the Czech Republic. For all this time Russia has been saying "don't do it," then started saying they will respond with military actions, now they are moving some of their nuclear missiles up to the Polish border; they have also said previously that they have reprogrammed other missiles to target cities in Europe. Polls say a majority of Czechs oppose this. Czech MEP Libor Rouček speaks out against these USA plans. " No Bases Initiative" demonstrates. Two thirds of people in the UK also feel threatened.. 50 Labour MPs have issued a statement calling for a public debate Bush is like a mad dog. I urge Europeans to fight this like your life depend

POPSAt UN - Overywhelming Majortity Supports Obama
This is good. It would seem to many, as pointed out in this clip, that Obama "would usher in a new agenda of multilateralism " Um....I noticed the delegation from Russia is included in the 10 nations they actually mention. But I've read elsewhere a few times that -- Yes -- even most Russian people on the street like Obama more than McCain. BUT -- If asked a broader question not just about pick either Obama or McCain...you get a different answer, which is: #1 - They don't think it will change USA policy towards Russia #2 - They hate America...this hate has been growing (Perhaps due to trying to steal the Caspian Sea Oil, Poland missile site, only always pro-Israel, against their near neighbor Iran, etc) I guess this points to another weakness of polls, which have been so wild in this years elections, indicating one way than another. In this case with Russia it seems their real opinion is: "go *uck yourself; we're sick of you; but Obama is better." Still, This is a nic

POPSMcCain Raises Fear of Nuclear Shootout with Russia
In 1962 was "The Cuban Missile Crisis," when President John Kenney got on TV and publicly announced that if the Russian used any one single one of their nuclear missiles in Cuba that the United States would launch a full-scale nuclear attack against the Soviet Union. McCain was there. Apparently he would like to be there again, an assigned target, on the deck of his aircraft carrier, go to go. Do we really want this flyboy in office!? Another old John Wayne cowboy acting out his wet dreams in public!? It's scary. People in the States in 62 freaked out. They woke up everyday wondering if this was going to be the day the world would end, had we got to the point of nuclear annihilation at last. Funny enough (ha ha) the USA (and now Europe) are in a similar missile bases crisis. The USA is building a missile base in Poland, on the Russia border. Russia has said: "Remove those missiles or we will attack." (yes...yes they have). Now...do you want McCain or Obama in charge a

POPSNew Cold War on Short Fuse
I believe we are now closer to a real and large-scale nuclear war, more so than every other time in human history. The Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962 is considered the previous time we came so close to starting a large-scale nuclear war. (There's a good movie about this: "Thirteen Days," and a quick summary of the Cuban Missile crisis can be found, at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuban_Missile_Crisis) In addition to this reality and one difference between how President John Kennedy handled it and how the Bush-Cheny-Rice White House is handling it is: President Kennedy took it seriously and he got on TV and told the nation and the world that this was heavy-duty dangerous. Today, repeatedly, the White House says, like in the clip here: "Washington Downplayed it's significance." News Flash - neither in 1962 or now will Russia allow a U.S. missile base be put on it's border. News Flash - Russia will not let the West steal it's Caspian Sea Oil. News Flash - Russia is right.

POPSPutin makes confrontation with US clear
FYI: Russia's President Putin has been making it Very Clear he's willing to have a military confrontation with the USA, most specifically with the USA plans for putting missiles in Poland. Putin has said if such missiles are every put there he will "neutralize" them. Russia has also re-started air flights of planes with nuclear weapons on the USA border, near Alaska. Putin has declared Russia is 're-targetting,' major European cities. He's insisting the USA back down with the predicted war with Iran. in this clip, though, I had to 'surgically' edit the headline and the story. The headline, for example, says Putin is 'escalating a nuclear war of words.' This is a weak attempt to cover up the facts: Russia's threats are not 'a war of words.' Clipmarks is a 'war of words.' POPSReheating the Cold War: And other Bush failures
OK - I try to stick to one issue at a time but this Relaunching of the Cold War and nuclear missle threat to Europe, the USA, etc. is beginning to bother me. Just some of the dangerous insanities. A#1 - The USA is building a missle base on the border of Russia. The first lie is that this is for: Defense. The second incredible lies is that this is for defense against Iran. OMG. Get a map. Look at the map. See Spot run. See Poland. See Iran. Even if USA claims are true don't you think there's a better location - even if Iran had missiles? In fact, playing pin the tail on the donkey could come up with a better location. 2. Russia keeps saying if the USA puts missiles on Russia's border, then Russia will aim it's nuclear missles at all major cities in Europe. 3.. The USA keeps saying: "We like Putin but he's overreacting. 4. Russian officials have to send people over to make it clear: "Stop saying you like us. Deal with the substantive issue."
