    Goodbye Palestinian State
    citizenbfk
    by citizenbfk  11-4-2009
The chief negotiator for Palestine in the Eviction Talks (definitely NOT "peace talks,") with Israel says it might be time to give up the two-state solution. Of course the negotiations were a charade and this is the USA-puppet Palestinian government, not Hamas, but still it rings out as a profound statement, a "thinking of the unthinkable," for Palestinians, a clear declaration of surrender. Thus, the Israeli Eviction Talks seem to be moving along well for them. Erekat seems to miss the point on that. He thinks there will have to be a One State Solution, with Jews, Christians and Muslims all living happily together. Oh my. That is not in accord with the Israeli Eviction Notice. And where does Erekat get the idea that the U.S. will come to Palestinian aid? How long and how much do you have to beat up some people before they get the message? -- The U.S. is on the side of Israel (giving cash, weapons, support for Zionism at home and in the UN). Maybe an "Aineisa," will

    More USA-ME Double Talk
    citizenbfk
    by citizenbfk  11-3-2009
The USA pretenses for ME peace stumbled a few days ago when Sec. of State Hilary Clinton was praising Israeli's latest sham offers to maybe-someday-for a while, perhaps slow down construction on new settlements. She called this sham an "unprecedented offer," and then tried to press the Palestinians into accepting it as enough good faith to renew so-called peace talks. But even the puppet Palestinian government said no: Freeze all settlement expansion now is their condition to restart so-called peace talks. This Israeli favoritism also angered every Arab who could read. So Clinton had to backtrack, double-talk and was given a script to read: this clip. The truth is Israeli's policy is to kill as many Palestinians as necessary, destroy their homes, farms, industry, water and power supplies, sacred sites -- hinder travel and work, starve the Gaza strip to death until all Palestinians give up and move out. That IS the policy. Negotiations should be called: Eviction Talks,

"Global Islamic Terrorism." --- the phrase of the New Crusades, the propaganda for long term worldwide war Sounds pretty slick. Rolls off the tongue easily. Doesn't take much thought. Creates a nice evil image of the enemy. But...Palestine is not fighting for Islam. It's fighting for it's homes. Afghanistan is not fighting for Islam. It's fighting for it's homes. Iraq is not fighitng for Islam. It's fighting to get it's country back from invaders who started the war based on deliberate fabricated lies. I hope more of us wake up to this and point it out, put it down where and when we see it: we're being sold a false bill of goods....the USA declaring worldwide wars outside the bounds of it's own Constitution, and using lies and propaganda and a one-sided view of who's right and excusing all it's own wrongs. ONE AND A HALF MILLION PEOPLE KILLED IN IRAQ! - someone said at the UN podium yesterday. And not one WMD. Who's the real terrorist? The real warmongers. T

Somewhat low key. This article/clip is a reasonable summary. Unfortuantely there is a joke in U.S. politics about "that depends upon what your definition of 'is,' is." -- meaning, on specific issues - is his objection to 'nukes,' in Iran and North Korea objections to nuke weapons or also objection to Iran's nuclear power program (which is legal and in accord with the UN IAEA). Does he desire for reducing nukes and being honest with nukes include the "secret," nuclear weapons of Israel that somehow always fail to get mentioned. Surprisingly firm, while committed to Israel's security he said the increase in Israel settlements was "illegitimate." - a rather firm statement and talked about the 1967 borders of Israel, and how Palestine needs a "contagious," free and real independent state. But none of these things would seem acceptable to Israel at all, their "peace terms," clearly sounding like "we go on with aggression and expansion," statements.

New Israeli "Pretenses for Peace," Announced

This is a rather ruthless, cynical and cold view of the announced intent to "restart." Israeli-Palestinian, Middle East peace negotiations next month. "Restarting this carousel first begins with the old tune: The Israeli's say the Arabs must make concessions. They ask for these concessions while publicly and actively evicting Palestinian, and expanding their Jewish settlements into former Arab territory. Then the chorus sings: "And what about the 'problem,' of Gaza" --- or the Golan Heights or Palestinian violent resistance to oppression and invasion...all as if these are problems caused by others and nothing to do with their own policies of fascism, apartheid, collective punishment and Palestinian genocide. Now, everybody sing: "All we are saying is, give peace a chance." BUT - the "problem" of Gaza is that one and a half million people are being starved to death in front of the eyes of the world, for the last two years, due to an Israeli blockade. Stopping that woul

EU to press UN to recognize a Palestinian State!?

This is some exciting news and new twist in the ongoing Israel-Palestine war and the often nothing more but "Pretenses for Peace." But the slow starvation of over a million and a half people in front of our eyes, in the Gaza Strip blockade by Israel for the last two years does seem to have stirred up determined and brave resistence, including the direct action blockade busting and involvement of EU, North American and South American politicians. Now this dramatic idea has been introduced by the EU Foreign Minister. Right now the only news coverage I've found starts with pro-Zionist negative opinion of this idea...(although the idea is the central story). Will this be for real? I guess time will tell but it does seem that some crimes are just too big to hide or tolerate: like murdering thousand of Taliban POW's -- secret USA death squard run by the former VP Cheney - starving a million and a half people in front of our eyes.

Israel Calls for Disarmed Palestinian State

    by citizenbfk  6-14-2009    2
The Pretenses for Peace in the Middle East have taken another step forward: The Palestinian Ghetto Plan. There was no commitment to stop the expansion of Israeli settlements. A call for new talks "without precondition," and in the vocabulary of Israeli "diplomacy," having no "preconditions," means Arabs have to give up any previous agreements, like Israel returning to the 1967 borders (a previous agreement) or having Jerusalem as a shared capitol (a previous agreement), or a sovereign state (a previous agreement). Or the right of return. How long will this pablum, this latest 'Pretenses for peace, continue to deceive? How long will the slow starvation of over a million and a half people in the Gaza Strip continue? Time will tell. When will the next annual Israeli war begin? Of course, the victims of Israeli abuse and invasion must "renounce violence," (although Israel doesn't renounce violence" and Palestinains have to recognize Israel, but not the ot

It's good to see that the slow starvation of over a million and a half people -- in front of the eyes of the world -- is running into more opposition every day. Every civilized nation should oppose this and demand it end. Although the Holocaust has nothing to do with this issue the Pope was asked about it again. It is such an amazing distortion of history and zionist propaganda to make this demand -- as if it had anything to do with the invasion of Palestine, setting up an apartheid state, collective punishment for a million and a half people for the last two years by the Gaza blockade, etc. -- see These Items Are the Issues. Russia, btw, celebrated their victory of Hitler's Germany this month. Their latest numbers of those killed in that war are staggering...really, really staggering. More than 8 million Russian soldiers killed and more that 27-million Russian civilians killed in WWII -- a total of 35-million war dead. Does anyone deny that? Or have you even heard abou

    The Apartheid State Israeli Solution

Like in the Gaza Strip now Israel would control all income and cash into the Apartheid State and prohibit or restrict critical social needs like petrol, concrete, full and free medical care, "luxury goods," like cigarettes and chocolate, etc. The newly released "Master Plan," for the removal of Arabs from East Jerusalem -- http://www.maannews.net/en/index.php?opr=ShowDetails&Do=&ID=37582 -- continues the evictions and destruction of Palestine under the charade of building "green zones" and "preserving historic buildings." It looks like the pretense of a 'two-state solution,' will be a U.S. funded Club Med & Military Camp next to a Palestinian outhouse -- at best. If I was Palestinian, political action and legal court action at the UN, World Court, ICC, etc. for war crimes and policies of genocide might bear some fruit. Plus, lobby to get all Palestinians declared political refugees would help escape. Raise cash Gotta start bribing(lobbying) US & EU politicians like A

A singular fact, so clear, is how the President of Iran -- who's nation is threatened with war every week by the USA and Israel -- is consistently accused of denying the Holocaust. Have you every heard that claim? He denies the Holocuast. If not you can read it in the UK headline right here: http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/apr/21/ahmadinejad-geneva-speech-israel or check out any USA American newspaper today. The clip, here, is the actual text of the speech Ahmadinejad gave yesterday. The one reference to the Holocaust is there. He says the Holocuast has been used as an excuse to invade Palestine. That's the only mention of the Holocaust. And text from other speeches, two he gave here in the States in the last two years, say the same thing: He's not denying the Holocaust; he is denying that it is a valid excuse to set up a racist Zionist state and mistreat Palestinians. Quite a difference, isn't it? And day after day we hear it and it's almost "outrageous," to point t

Not much coverage of this, other articles spin off into talking about the split between the PA and Hamas, or U.S. supported Arab governments blaming Hamas, or how both sides in the war acted badly and even the headline of this clip is not very dramatic and easy to overlook. This version of the PA appears to be the puppet government favored by Israel, the USA, the EU and western supported Arab states, so this comment by Abbas doesn't go along with the script.

Does Palestinian Have a Right to Exist?

I find it interesting how empty is the pro-Israel propaganda, such as the constantly repeated statement: "Does Israel have a right to exist?" How about Palestine having a right to exist? Or, the empty pro-Isreali statement: "Israel has a right to defend itself." How about Palestinians having a right to defend themselves? So this pro-Israeli propaganda, empty of content because it can be applied to every person on the face of the earth...without need to even say it is a "right," because it's more like Natural Law to defend yourself from attack, false imprisonment, starvation, destruction of your homes, seizing of your lands, destruction of your property, etc. The empty article and USA & UK recent comments also never mention the Israeli blockade that has slowly been starving to death a million and a half people in front of our eyes. It's appropriate to fight back against being starved to death. A blockade is an act of war. Hamas wants the blockade lifted, Let's t

Besides these routine lies, the lie about Israel 'losing' the 2006 war in Lebanon truly bewildering.. Lebanon was blown back into the Stone Age (Propaganda reason: 2 Israeli soldiers were kidnapped). The U.S. supplied F-16 jet warplanes blasted Lebanon day after day, like in Gaza 2007 and now again in 2009; Israel suffered practically no comparable damages and they want us to believe they "lost" the war? Strange. Now, after years of Gaza being walled off like a prison, an extensive blockage starving people to death & with F-16's -- it's like 'shooting fish in a barrel.'      As we see this collective punishment and genocide happen in front of our very own eyes it's dawning more and more on me that 'being respectful,' or going along with the wordplay, charades and pretenses of our government can no longer be a viable option: They are warmongers full of hate, lies, excuses and one charade after another. Plus, the blantant Israeli insult of even the USA pretenses for Israeli-Palestinian peace or solution is too rude to tolerate. While Sec. of State Condi Rice is in the air, flying to Israel to pretend to talk about peace, Israel makes it clear that it's increasing it's hostilities. !? Thinking about this I've realized that although it may seem small but the Only Way to avoid COMPLICITY in this genocide...in the Senate's today's support of indefinite detention, tortune, etc. is simply: TO SPEAK OUT. We often can't change things. But SILENCE would be supporting these policies. So...speak out. Say something to someone.

It's like what happen to former President Carter when he wrote: "Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid." Yet, amazingly, nearly everybody knows this is true: pro-Israeli lobbying dominates US foreign policy. The additional point is made that this is not good for America, although the authors, trying to remain reasonable, point out that they also feel the lobbying by the Cuban groups, the tobacco companies, oil companies, etc. also has extreme influence on USA policies and is also not good for the country. "Not only is Israeli policy and lobbying fatally flawed," the authors say, "but USA policy is also fatally flawed." What could be a more reasonable observation than that?
