    McCain Going Down
    citizenbfk
    by citizenbfk  11-24-2009
John McCain was the Republican candidate for President in the last election, running against Barrack Obama. He's up for relection in 2010. Now it looks like he's going to lose his Senate seat, facing a primary challenge in his own party. Point 1. The horses are lining up at the starting gate for the 2010 elections. (one year ahead of voting day, par for the course) McCain is one of my U.S. Senators and I'd love to dance on his political grave. I'm joyful planning on it.... I've remained registered Democrat so I can vote in the Demo primaries. Up to now there hasn't been a good candidate because McCain was previously invincible. Now the cracks are showing -- A big problem is that Democrats always lose this seat because they mouth the national policy on immigration while the vast majority of us in this state --- a state on the border with Mexico -- have a whole different real-world perspective on an out-of-control border. We want the border controlled, like all nations do

Iran's proposal included efforts to curb nuclear weapons, so this should be interesting. Right now Western propganda says Iran MAY want nuke weapons someday...but if the focus gets to those countries that actually HAVE nuke weapons at least it would be talking about reality. Bush era politics refused to talk to Iran, so this is another progressive step forward for the Obama Administration: first the job creation and economic stimulus plans, health care reform on track to victory, withdrawal from Iraq going according to timetable/treaty deal, talking to Iran instead of threatening another war based on lies, first Hispanic/woman on Supreme Court, rolling back some unfair Bush era tax breaks for the Superrich, proposed regulations to stop Wall St. scams, restoring power to unions, equal pay for woman, end of torture, freeing Gitmo innocents and proceeding towards closing it down, etc. The country certainly is in better hands. 2010 elections the next big battle.      This article, from the BBC, is a nice "objective summary." I don't know about you --- and I'm a voter -- but if there was bombs at some polling places, people were threatening to cut my finger off if I voted, and voter fraud by ruthless warlords and their cohorts was pretty much guaranteed, plus a Major Foreign Power was pulling all the strings....it would make it more difficult. Not to mention having to talk about it on forums where cynics say voting is a waste of time anyway. gosh...that's a lot to go through. But, of course, citizenbfk would get to the polls - do or die - that's a fact, jack; that's the way it is. 'Cause, voting is not a waste of time. Even the 'evildoers," and war lords gotta go through the shame of elections. Because it comes down to pushing people around with violence and guns or pushing people around with fear mongering and hate. and fearmongering and hate can be opposed with righteousness and caring...but guns can only be opposed with guns.

It's truly a full-time job keeping up with the mendacity of the warmongers...who now spread racist lies to try and get back in power. This clip, no surprise except for the fact that it's documented...but the Bush Administration, hoping to win the 2004 elections, wanted to get the "terror alert," raised. The more you can make people fear the more they go along with war and hate programs. So..false wars based on deliberate lies....now false "terror alerts," trying to win elections (vs. there not even being a real threat). The Republican party needs to be driven into extinction, defeated again and again and no support for their lies, smear or hate campaigns should be supported. Support the opposite.

Private armies are a classic and very dangerous sign of growing fascism. Why? -- Because they start murdering people who threaten their business or don't agree with their ideology....which is what this case filed in federal court is about. The growing thugishness of the Republicans, neo-cons, racist and special interest corporations is another worrisome sign of growing fascism....there are now many report of Town Hall meetings being disrupted and people intimidate at these public meetings. Of course (sarcasm mode) we have to start off believing that the war torn Iraq-Iran northern border is a prime spot for backpacking tourist. Then we have to accept that this Kurdish region is "self-ruled." - i.e. that Iraq is broken into pieces already when this would be a Civil War issue. (part of a 'divide and conquer Master Plan, no doubt) Then I suppose there are some "U.S. officials," who say Iran is trying to build nukes but this is Zionist extremist and Republican warmongering and the Obama administration is trying hard, in the face of non-stop international lies - to make a distinction between nuclear Power and nuclear Weapons. Of course it has to be remembered that Republican politics in America is based on complaints, accusations, trying to stifle voices and votes, intimidate people and personally try to destroy all opponents. In fact, this Video Interlude had no specific text message. Although McCain wasn't shown in much of a positive light, while Obama certainly was. Over 340 would be a LANDSLIDE VICTORY. Things also looking better for Democrats in both the House and Senate, much better than expected and the non-stoppable ruling total of 60 Senators even appears possible. Folks had been saying McCain's chances were like hoping to draw into an inside straight. Now, though, it looks like he needs a miracle. This would give them total unchecked political power (except for the courts). They call the 60 total the "Magic 60," because this would prevent the opposition party from doing a filibuster, stalling passage of legislation by talking and talking and talking. This has been one of the Democrats excuses the past two years,BTW, for not doing anything to live up to their promises to stop the Iraq War and others things. But I don't like this excuse; it's a lie: a filibuster doesn't stop legislation, it only stalls it.      The idea here, some have suggested, is to suggest an anti-war appeal: If Obama is elected war with Iran will start. This incredible twisted suggestion is typical of other new McCain ideas, like he is the one really opposed to Bush policies although he voted for them 90% of the time. The twisted idea, too, that McCain's support for tax breaks for the SuperRich and Corporations is really to help out 'Joe the Plumber,' because the wealth will 'trickle down.' According to this twisted reasoning, McCain is the anti-war in Iran, anti-Bush policy guy, and pro-voice for the Middle and lower classes. ?? Other Republicans also just, seriously, going nuts: that McCain campaign worker who carved a B into her cheek (backwards) and tried to blame it on a "Black pro-Obama mugger." ?? Latest...some Republican arrested for making death threats against the Sec. of State of Ohio (who's in charge of elections) -- because she shut down a Republican attempt at voter suppression. ??

This also points out another problem: Media Driven Issues. The media has just been making up one issue after another than is not an issue to nobody else but them: media fabricated issues...and often just to raise hackles or excitement and thus have more people tune in. With race, it's been called: The Bradley Effect. All states count, of course but the four states above are the big ones that swing back and forth and could go either way and thus make the difference. But Virginia? North Carolina!? Georgia!? Wow! - In the USA Civil War, 150 years ago, it was a war between Northern States and Southern States (of that time). If looking at the USA Election Map for the last 150 years, it's been the very exact same dividing line....the same dividing line as in the USA Civil War: The Northern States (of that time) vote one way; the Southern States (of that time) vote another. For the Democrats to win in Virginia - capital of the South, would change all that...(and Obama now ahead). If they win North Carolina...incredible! shocking! If Obama wins Georgia..OMG! OMG! It would be a victory not just for now, but a 150 y

Poll finds worldwide support for Obama

This speaks for itself doesn't it? It's a real good feeling knowing that the majority of the world also see how much better Obama would be. Thanks for all that support. Unfortunately the real red-necks,red-necks red-necks might try to use this AGAINST Obama their political 'modus operandi' being always trying to divide people and spread hate and fear. So the majority of the people in Europe liking Obama, would be used by these Republican neocon neofascist as another reason why Obama is "anti-America." Basically, warmongers and folks like that try to get power by insulting everybody else and putting them down. Fortunately -- for us all -- their days appear numbered. If Obama supporters just keep working and advocating and those who go door-to-door keep going door-to-door and those who make telephone calls keep making telephone calls, etc....winning this election in less than two weeks will be a 'Slam Dunk' (certain to happen). Elections do matter; this one more than m

Will Republicans Steal the 2008 election?

This interview is with Mark Crispin Miller. If you want to see who is actually trying to steal the elections -- and tactics of Republican voter suppression going on right now, his books are good details and summaries. He wrote: Fooled Again: How the Right Stole the Election Cruel and Unusual: Bush Cheney's New World Order & The Bush Dyslexicon Republicans are the party that tries to purge voters from the rolls. The Republicans are the ones who are always crying wolf and voter fraud while they are the ones doing it, and doing massive campaigns of voter suppression. If you've heard about ACORN and charges of their alleged voter fraud (which it ain't) then you know what's going on -- and in Miller interview here & his book -- you get a good explaination of what's going on behind the scenes...a massive and decade long program of attempts at voter suppression by the Republicans. Let's not get fooled again.

    Ohio challenges Republican Voter Suppression

    by citizenbfk  10-14-2008
This is called 'voter caging.' and the Ohio Sec. of State sent out a directive to put an end to it. Republican would aid in this effort by sending out their own registered mail to Democratic voters. If the registered letter was returned the Republicans would use this to purge that voter from the list of qualified voters, claiming that they are no longer at the correct address. There are a lot of other sneaky ways to disqualify voters - some states purge everyone who didn't vote in the last elections, for example, or do other things making it easy to get tossed off the rolls. When you're losing the election big time and the Democrats have registered 400% more voters than you, this is about all you have left to do to try to steal the elections (again).

The quiz is actually at: http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/MatchoMatic/fullpage?id=5542139 The clip here goes to quick quiz where you choice between brief statements on issues. And the end you see how many statements you picked were from Obama and/or from McCain. (Whew! I was glad to see that -- all but one -- my picks on issues matches the candidate I've already Early Voted for; and that odd one out I've just had to accept to agree to disagree). Questions are on: Economy, Iraq, Health Care, Immigration and Hot Topic Social issues. Also, there is an interesting contest to guess how many electoral votes each of the candidates will get. (270 needed to win). You click on the states to make them Red (Republican) or Blue (Democratic). Informative info on site as to what the source thinks (The Washington Post) and what the average results are from all the collected contest submissions. The Electoral Map Contest is at: http://projects.washingtonpost.com/2008/pick-your-pres

Clear Republican Voter & PR Machinations

New Yorkers have a chance to vote for Barrack Osama. Having the State Elections Office spelling the names of the candidates correctly is a rather important thing. Three proof readers apparently missed this; we told. My Point is really about another claim of so-called Voter Fraud mentioned frequently on clipmarks: The dastardly ACORN conspiracy to steal the elections by submitting phony names on voter registration cards. Phony names, like: Barrack Osama. The best description of the ACORN accusations, I now realize, is that the Republicans were trying to "make a mountain out of a molehill." -- deliberately whining about this and every stupid thing under the sun, like Obama using the words: "lipstick on a pig," or the bad photo of Palin in Newsweek and Nothing of Substance. I've seen voter fraud. It was a whole voting booth found in the town dump one week after elections. This stuff? Mountains out of molehills to distract and rile up ignorant emotions. Barrack Osama?
