Eating potato chips and drinking vodka off of each other's ass, pissing on people, failing to show up for duty, going out on unauthorized missions to "hunt heads," and awarding themselves commendation for doing so. Ah....the glories of war. Hundreds of billions of dollars in U.S. contracts. Republicans refuse to investigate -- they first have to make sure Obama gets the blame. (It's his war. His Vietnam). I hope this makes into into the War Movies. Scenes of the wild parties interspersed with oil rigs churning away, poppy fields in flames, false elections, the embassy under attack, politicians talking about freedom and democracy, car bombs and bodies, hookers and drugs...brawls over a bag of ice. Cheney Attacks Obama, Torture Investigations

A whole generation grew up thinking the principle repeated over and over again at the war crime trials after WWII were true: That saying you "were only obeying orders," was not a defense. But former VP Cheney says it is, that "legal memos," given to the CIA said it was okay. Cheney also says torture is okay because "it helped save American lives." Obama is doing great damage to our country, making us less safe, Cheney contends, because 1) These methods are needed to keep us safe and 2) He is sapping the morale of our CIA by allowing the newly announced investigations of the torture program by the Dept. of Justice. Besides being "offended," Cheney also announced that he hasn't decided if he will cooperate with the DOJ investigation. Of course there are lots of holes in the argument. If Hitler had his Justice Dept. write him a memo saying it was okay to murder 6 million Poles and 5.5 million Jews and millions of union organizers and anti-war activist, would that make it o

These were the techniques the Bush and Cheney authorized and then successfully hid from exposure, claiming we can't let the terrorist know our tactics. Note: the steps towards official Dept. of Justice (the Obama DOJ, not the DOJ of the Bush nightmare years)...an official prosecution took another big step. 8AM today it was announced this was recommended. 10AM today Obama appointed Attorney General, Eric Holder, has asked a federal prosecutor John Durham to investigate. So...the Bush Administration ignored clearly stated warnings and had the biggest domestic attack on US soil in our history (Um...not counting the British and our own Civil War). Then they turned to Nazi-like tactics of torture, secret prisons, kidnapping, holding people without trail...even, btw, murder of POW's (we haven't got much coverage of that - yet.). My Lai massacre leader, during the Vietnam War has offered his first public apology today- http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/8215556.stm He was sentenced to life in prison but got three years of house arrest.      It's practically a full-time job keeping up with the war lies, war crimes and war ugliness, more revealed everyday. Assassination, btw, is officially against current USA law --- but the CIA, with the encouragement of Bush and Cheney, just decided to ignore this law --- and others laws as well: from torture to protection of civil rights: they felt, apparently, the law did not apply to them. That's always very dangerous, a dark road to fascism. Just 'restoring adherence to the law," by President Obama, has already made things better....better if you believe in human decency. Bounty hunting is not new, btw. The British, the Spanish, the Mexicans and the Americans all gave bounty for Indian scalps. That means subpoenas, that means other info from witnesses maybe coming out - that means the house of cards of the wanna be fascist Bush Administration is now starting to officially crumble. This one issue could lead to other issues and Other Issues now more likely, I think, (issues like torture and beating POWs to death in their cells) -- these more likely to also be investigated -- and the issue of corrupting the justice dept. for political selective prosecutions also appears high on the agenda. Not seeking vengence but I feel we need to set precedent....no man (or woman) is above the law...when you violate the Constitution you will pay a price...when you mislead a nation into war with deliberately fabricated lies you will pay a penality. But the slow starvation of over a million and a half people in front of our eyes, in the Gaza Strip blockade by Israel for the last two years does seem to have stirred up determined and brave resistence, including the direct action blockade busting and involvement of EU, North American and South American politicians. Now this dramatic idea has been introduced by the EU Foreign Minister. Right now the only news coverage I've found starts with pro-Zionist negative opinion of this idea...(although the idea is the central story). Will this be for real? I guess time will tell but it does seem that some crimes are just too big to hide or tolerate: like murdering thousand of Taliban POW's -- secret USA death squard run by the former VP Cheney - starving a million and a half people in front of our eyes.

Oh...btw, in the era where Fox News & CNN debates everything, assassinations are illegal. Torture, also, btw, is a war crime. (As well as the cover-up of the slaughter of thousands of Taliban prisoners, etc.) It's unfortunately true that such things have been done, throughout all of time and probably by most nations but a man making up his own little death lists is a classic evil to be feared...esp. when not even the leader of the country, and in secret.

Tens of thousands of citizens have kept up the pressure for accountability and like water pressure behind a large dam, the cracks are finally showing. In this clip, even conservative Republican Senator John McCain (who is against a torture investigation) now says - today on major TV Sunday news show -- that Cheney has to answer questions about this....that's the start. Karl Rove is finally, last week, being officially deposed by DOJ lawyers. This giving testimony, answering questions under oath, is also a start. Now, also reported, new AG Eric Holder is considering an investigation into the torture issue. A real investigation by the Justice Dept, with real potential legal consequences.(i.e. jail). I think the pressure had to keep on pushing and build up like this. Rome wasn't built in a day. Cleaning up a house flooded by crime doesn't happen overnight.

There is a madness in doing more to attack your friends more than your enemies, a madness which I think Sheehan and Code Pink are doing: The Republicans are the greater warmongers. Can't they find some way to hassle Republicans. But the problems is compounded when your "friends," (i.e. the Democrats) are sell-outs, too. When their idea of "peace," is introduced in the Senate today and it includes: permament bases, a permament presence of troops (now called: "trainers,) and the other idea of complete conquest starting to also slip in: 'dividing Iraq into three parts.' We should also "move on," to war crime trials since all this involved trying to cover-up the use of deliberately fabricated information (used in the State of the Nation) to mislead and mobilize our nation into a false and misdirected war for the beneift only of special interests and other nations, resulting in the death of approx. 3,600 USA troops, waste of billions, murder and destruction of a nation. This false claim war claims Saddam was trying to buy uranium

This whole article is worth it, along with the 200 comments it's gotten in half a day. I believe a serious, legal, democratic challenge to the Status Quo needs to be made by the direct action of people: Start Recall Drives against Republican governors, since Republicans are the most warmongering party, since the White House contines to talk and act on expanding the wars in the Middle East and Iran, and since our politicians refuse to start impeachments (Cheney first!). I wish my state was one of the seven where this is possible, but it is not. For more details, check out: http;//www.americancitizenstogether.org

Things in Iraq are NOT getting better!

A few days ago the first bomb went off right inside the Iraq Parliment building in the most secure Green Zone of USA occupation in Baghdad. This new today. More news tomorrow. And we're suppose to give this lying stinking president and his lying stinking corrupt officials any trust? any credit? for anything? Impeach both Bush and Cheney (Cheney first). Recall all Republican governors in those seven (7) states where possible. Work and vote for a Democrat for President in 2008. Vote against every Republican Senate or House candidate on the ballot. They we can look forward to a better country, without these warmongering draft-dodgers wrapping their corruption in our American flag and their phony claims of God on Their Side. We all should be as outraged as possible. We deserve tobe as outraged as possible. We need to do these things mentioned here, now, for ourselves and for our children. US Senate votes 50-48 to keep Iraq War Withdrawal deadline

I heard a special limo caravan was sent out for Dick Cheney to rush him over to Congress in case a tie-breaking vote was needed; like if just ONE Senator had shifted and the vote was 49-49; then Cheney could have made it 50-49. So, it was that close: It was One Vote close. (symptomatic of how Bush keeps acting in ways to DIVIDE the nation; but also symptomatic of the people's will in our recent last elections, and the new Democratic power in Congress to challenge Bush and expose his lies and corruption.) I heard that Cheney's motocade speed to the White House but it was a wasted trip-- there was no tie -- he (nor Bush) could do nothing about it. I would have loved to be in that motorcade as it somberly drove back to Cheney's White House office. Yea...the war is over. Realistically, it may take another year. Realistically all troop may never actually leave; just give up prime combat roles. Realistically plans for permanent bases are still there...but..4sure, the tide has ch

Fitzgerald is the attorney who recently convicted White House aide 'Scooter' Libby of lying about leaking name of CIA agent, and documenting how all this led back to Vice-President Dick Cheney and his efforts to Cover-UP the use of fale intelligence deliberate used to wrongly justify the war in Iraq. So, now it appears the White House rated him as "not doing a good job." Ah yes...It's getting clearer. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. The writing is sprawled all over the wall. And that idea that all Presidential Appointments needed confirmation by the Senate; well, that was sort of getting in the way wasn't it. How much better Bushhead to change the Constitution, violate our civil rights of the Constitution, start a war based on known lies, and reshape the Supreme Court and all state Attorney Generals to suit him -- WITHOUT the previous bothersome hassle of realizing there's a Congress, nor apparently, realizing there is A People; and we should impeach him and Che

When you push people around eventually they will push back. I sincerely hope something can be done or I'm sure we're racing down the road towards WWIII (if we haven't already started). It's sickening really...all this constant talk of War, War, War & Terrorist, Terrorist Terrorist.....and to make it worse bin Laden still goes free!? Amazing. Lots of folks see the same facts. I think we have to IMPEACH CHENEY. Then we can IMPEACH BUSH next, if there's time. Then Rumfield and all the other neo-cons should go on trial. All thise folks are really traitors...

The "Master Plan," rumbles on, despite the US votes in the last election, despite the overwhelming majority of Americans being against it, despite the loss of "blood and treasure," despite the destruction it causes. Apparently our votes and feelings are not enough. Impeaching Vice-President Cheney would be a good next steip (If we impeach Bush then Cheney would become President, so it would be best to go one step at a time.) To stop this upcoming war. I propose: Impeach Chene now, right away. Start some criminal trials for him and his 'neo-con,' lying warmongers, ASAP. Impeach Bush next, if there is time - Also, now, right away start Recall Elections against Republican Governor possible. Continuing action into next year, defeat every one of the 21 Republican US Senators who are up for re-election in 2008 and work for a Democrat to be the next President (whoever wins the Democratic Primary). Lets not just to 'defeat' the Republican Party, but to destroy the Republica
