Illegal alien stomps toddler to death, charges filed

This guy deserves the death penalty. There is no excuse, no matter how angry you are, to let your anger loose on a poor defenseless child like this.

NH Supreme Court seeks input on death penalty rules
    caoilfhionn

It's amazing how leftward the country has gone. This guy is a cop killer, his lawyers are claiming that the death penalty should be banned, so the Supreme Court seems to be buying into it.

    Does the death penalty discriminate?

Interesting that all that crap about discrimination in the criminal justice system seems to be more myth than anything else.

The death penalty serves a purpose

The tendency toward 'forgiving' pedophiles and murderers so they end up doing it again either while on probation or in prison, is a ridiculous thing. They are a waste of good air. "Feelings" are not the only things we must weigh--and murderers and pedophhiles don't care about anyone's "feelings" but their own, which is why they're able to commit such horrible crimes.

    Forgetting the Victims: The NYT

She killed her victims in the Sbarro restaurant in Jerusalem. This fits in with the anti-death penalty people. They want to elevate the murderers to hero status while practically dancing on the graves of their victims. Disgusting. Horrifying.

Studies show the death penalty has a deterrent effect on crime
    caoilfhionn
    by caoilfhionn  7-13-2007    15
These studies are under attack because of the conclusions that are easily drawn by the statistics. A normal person would conclude that if one execution of a murderer prevents 18 murders, it is worth it. But I guess we don't support the rights of innocents to live, that was proven with Roe Vs. Wade. And interestingly, the murder rate started to rise after Roe Vs. Wade. Ya think there might be a connection?

The deterrent effects of capital punishment

Edward Koch, former mayor of New York City, said: "Had the death penalty been a real possibility in the minds of...murderers, they might well have stayed their hand. They might have shown moral awareness before their victims died...Consider the tragic death of Rosa Velez, who happened to be home when a man named Luis Vera burglarized her apartment in Brooklyn. "Yeah, I shot her," Vera admitted. "...and I knew I wouldn't go to the chair." Naci Mocan, an economics professor at the University of Colorado at Denver, co-authored a 2003 study and re-examined a 2006 study that found that each execution results in five fewer homicides, and commuting a death sentence means five more homicides. In an interview, he states: "Science does really draw a conclusion...There is no question about it. The conclusion is there is a deterrent effect. The results are robust. They don't really go away. I oppose the death penalty. But my results show that the death penalty (deters) - what am

The majority of people polled support the death penalty

Liberals turn the murderers and criminals into victims and forget the people they killed, assaulted, injured, or brutalized. That was apparent in the case of Tookie Williams. Fact is, they cannot be rehabilitated and often times don't even have the sense to fake that they are remorseful over what they did.
