POPSWhalers decimate even pregnant females! These callous whalers are not only taking the present generation of whales, they are also taking future generations! I believe the time has come for decisive action - not the limp-wristed efforts of so many Governments. Australia through the new Rudd administration made a great start - but they have now joined ranks with those capitulating to the Japanese. Some leadership!

POPSAustralia is capitulating on whaling protest! It is clear the Australian Government is now reneging on its commitment to fight the Japanese whaling at every level. They are now resorting to limited opposition to whaling through diplomatic channels which are little better than "talkfests"! The Australian people are generally forthright, bold and honest - their Government is not reflecting such qualities in the whaling situation!

POPSJapan is finally feeling the heat on whaling Notwithstanding that a hopelessly astray Kiwi (Glenn Inwood quoted here) sees fit to go against the views of most of his fellow Kiwis, Japan is becoming increasingly pressured to stop whaling. Their days of working scams and shams to continue whaling are coming to an end. As a fellow Kiwi I hope the Japanese offer Glenn Inwood sufficient inducement to leave New Zealand. He doesn't represent the views of most Kiwis - in fact he shames us!

POPSJapanese whalers fear retribution - bravo! Devious tactics by Japanese whalers are now being challenged - bravo Sea Shepherd! Let the whalers know what it is like to feel hunted! Although loathe to endorse extreme action I believe Japan will only desist when the cost becomes too great - a pity that may mean the loss of human life but that is one of the options determined activists may have to resort to bring Japan to its senses. An amazing commentary - the Japanese whaling industry tells us they kill for "science", then they use "aid" to buy votes - now they justify not only killing the whales but also the next generation of whales and call it "great".
