     When the developed nations begin to struggle imagine the plight of those in places like Darfur. These poor people have been totally reliant on the goodwill of the developed countries - now what?

     Wealthy nations have seen them feel quite unconcerned about the Earth's ability to grow enough food - but that is about to change. It is clear from spiraling prices that food production is entering a critical phase and that increasing numbers will be affected badly. The Third World, in the face of such shortages, appears doomed to even harsher times. We are very poor stewards of our planet!
