About me
Mature guy who believes we need to all do our bit in looking after our planet, World community and our future. Sadly those who tend to lead us are not the most enlightened and we need to be aware of that fact.

Japan plans more whaling kills
bs1999bs

Japan is a disgrace and the insipid posturing of World delegates was such that Japan achieved an ability to carry on whaling. We are being led by whimps!

Japan is finally feeling the heat on whaling
bs1999bs
by bs1999bs  6-29-2008
Notwithstanding that a hopelessly astray Kiwi (Glenn Inwood quoted here) sees fit to go against the views of most of his fellow Kiwis, Japan is becoming increasingly pressured to stop whaling. Their days of working scams and shams to continue whaling are coming to an end. As a fellow Kiwi I hope the Japanese offer Glenn Inwood sufficient inducement to leave New Zealand. He doesn't represent the views of most Kiwis - in fact he shames us!

China doesn't care a jot about the public!
bs1999bs
by bs1999bs  5-23-2008
This regime has proved to be callous and indifferent to crucial issues affecting us all. The fake trade in China is simply masked by a few token arrests by their Government. They allow dangerous drugs and products to be dispensed all round the World at potentially high human cost. The Chinese system is rotten to the core!

The junta in Myanmar is cruel & callous
bs1999bs
by bs1999bs  5-13-2008
I believe nothing highlights better how the World has "lost its way". We allow the junta in Myanmar to practice genocide, as we do in Darfur and with Mugabe the tyrant. I think at a certain point the tyrannical regimes have to be afforded a hefty response - but the free World simply watches and allows the position to deteriorate further. China is one of the World's villains - it is allowing all three regimes mentioned above to be supplied with arms and sustenance for their despot leaders. Shame on China!!!!!!

bs1999bs
by bs1999bs  5-2-2008

At the same time they present a facade to the public which is designed to deceive!

bs1999bs

Wealthy nations have seen them feel quite unconcerned about the Earth's ability to grow enough food - but that is about to change.
