POPSWho Will Save His Sorry Butt or Let Him Hang? I'm having a hard time understanding what all the fuss is about. First, I feel that it will only get worse in Iraq once Sadam is gone, but this isn't saying that I disagree with the penalty. Second, we all know who will be blamed for his death. Third, I feel that after many (if not most) of his attorneys and a few judges were slaughtered by Sadam's followers, this surviving attorney may be calling this plea in an attempt to save his own life, after all is said and done. You know, as in proof of "I did everything I could to save his sorry butt, so don't kill me too." Lastly, if Sadam is saved by the bell, who pays to keep him alive in prison and where does he live out his sentence? If it's coming from my hard earned dollars, then hang him. If it's coming out of the pockets of decent hard working Iraqi's then they have some decisions to make. I only hope they make the right one.

POPSI Can Think of Better Jobs for MICHigan I'm kind of getting tired of politicians thinking Michigan can be a dumping ground for their prisoners, with the idea of promoting employment opportunities in MI. This is BS in so many ways. I do not want terrorists (known or suspected) on US soil, do you?? If California pursues Michigan prisons to dump their prisoners because they cannot afford to house them, who do you think is going to take the economic hit for this when Cal can't pay the bill? This is no different to me than Detroit politicians dumping toxic waste under the table with our tax dollars. Why not turn the Standish prison into some type of rehabilitation facility for drug and alcohol addicts, or temporary housing or emergency medical? There are other more positive ways to create jobs. I vote: TAKE NO PRISONERS!!

POPSU.S. is not the only accused meddler Many people may believe that Obama 'could do and say more.' Maybe nothing is the thing to do - while we sit and wait it out, seems Iran may be shifting blame to Britain by expelling diplomats.

" ============== The more I read about her lately, the more I wonder if it might behoove me to re-think how I feel about the b****. LOL Hey, maybe she has what it takes to set a few records straight and this type of character is usually what the "norm" in politics don't like. Time is prime for someone with the jutspa (spelling?) to step in and call it like it is. I think I may give myself a little time to reacquaint myself with Hillary. Me gots a feeling she'll be running for President ... soon. As dreadful as that once sounded to me.... I think a little more research on her current events might be time worthy.

POPSHeadway? Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples I'd like to know exactly what citizens are the concern here. First of all, it was the US govt that stole the land from our native american indians. So are they worried that the american native indian will claim monetary rights to some of the land in lieu of reclaiming actual land? Or that they may want the land that the US holds in reserve? I'd like to know what this one is about. Why are they stalling on the Declaration.
