    Ron Paul's GOP Counter-Convention
    blueridge
    by blueridge  7-22-2008
Continues to get his revolutionary message out that the GOP is way off the mark in regard to their own traditional republican principles of limited government and individual liberty which the neoconservatives have trampled entirely. The popularity of the message cannot be overlooked and demonstrates the latent great dissatisfaction with the presumptive party nominees of McCain and Obama (who is continuing the talk of the "war on terrorism" as if it is a legitimate and constitutional war--see comments on Afghanistan). This might be the year of the greatest number of alternative candidates on the Presidential ticket: Constitution Party, Libertarian Party, Green Party, will probably be on every state ballot.

interesting, filling the void of Ron Paul, and the only alternative on the horizon from Big Government and war-prone republican and democratic nominees. He would certainly be the only traditional republican alternative to the neoconservative McCain, using a Libertarian party to jump into the frey against the dual-party tyranny.

The Libertarians have a strong candidate, since Ron Paul declined to be their nominee. A great alternative who would stop the war and restore the Constitution and our liberties and roll back the size and scope of the Federal Leviathan that is devouring us and ruining our economy through heavy debt spending. This scares the neo-republicans, because now the Constitution Party and Libertarian Party will draw more votes from John McCain.

Iran Not Alone in Proxy Wars, U.S. Doing Same
    blueridge
    by blueridge  5-11-2008    3
Republican Pat Buchanan uncovers the truth of why Iran MAY be (so he believes, naively methinks) arming militants in Iraq--if you believe the propaganda from Crocker and Patreus. The fact is that the U.S. is arming militants (i.e. terrorists) against Iran , and Buchanan thinks they are just responding in kind. So just who is fighting "proxy wars", especially when the U.S. is fighting all of this for ISRAEL? If there were more republicans like Buchanan and Ron Paul we would not be in wars presently, nor the dollar worthless, gas prices high, and the economy sinking (due to debt spending on war).

Ron Paul Refuses to Endorse McCain, Exposes Democrats' Hypocrisy
    blueridge
    by blueridge  5-11-2008    2
Ron Paul is still contending upon principle and has not dropped out, and instead has released a best-selling book called "Revolution" to restore government to the Constitution. He essentially says that McCain is a RINO--republican in name only--and refuses to endorse him. Yet Rudy, Romney, Fred (also RINOs) and the Party all endorse him. Paul points out that there is really little choice to restore Constitutional government, fiscal conservative spending, civil liberties, or non-interventionist foreign policy among the soon current nominee leaders. He points out the hypocrisy of Hillary and Obama on the war, while saying that McCain is at least honest about his policy, bad as that policy is.

Weak Dollar and Traders Behind Gas Prices, Not Supply and Demand
    blueridge
    by blueridge  5-11-2008    1
This refutes a lot of talk about OPEC and such causing high oil and gas prices. It also explains higher prices on consumer goods, not just driven by fuel prices alone. The dollar is becoming as valued as the paper its printed on, which (this articles does not go into) is because of national indebtedness for heavy war spending, as Ron Paul pointed out during his campaigning. Traders and speculators in the investment community are increasingly buying oil futures for their portfolios and war fears (i.e. war on terrorism, middle east war-mongering) increase price on the trade floor, period.

UN Imposes New Sanctions on Iran--Increases Conflict
    blueridge
    by blueridge  3-3-2008
As Ron Paul warns UN sanctions are a pathway to wars, and always the new justifications for them, as was the case with Iraq. The UN is not "moderate", or a world savior, it is an arbitrary usurping world governing body stacked with the "powers that be" moving all toward world conformity by either incentive or force. Since the UN was formed, after the WWI League of Nations failed, wars and global conflicts have increased, not decreased. The UN is nothing less than a global "gang" teaming up to suppress and usurp all sovereign rule under the pretense of "democracy" and "world peace", and its tenants are entirely supported by the Bush family and neocons, while their tactics may differ. To suggest that only "UN approved" nations can have nuclear power, even weapons, makes clear their goal of global dominance, as if their ideological dictatorial rule is not tyrannical in nature.

McCain as President Would be a Megalomaniac
    blueridge
    by blueridge  2-4-2008    1
This article appeared in The American Conservative Magazine which just endorsed Ron Paul. The "maverick" McCain appears to have changed his positions in light of personal ambitions, which also smacks of Willard Milton Romney. This formerly tortured POW (something that psychologists testify of full well leads to a corresponding pathological abuse of others in return) could become a global meglomaniac that would make Bush look like a pacifist, hard as it is to imagine. The neocons, from the left originally, will love him.

Wesley Snipes vs. Income Tax and IRS Wins Big
    blueridge
    by blueridge  2-3-2008    5
This will draw more attention to legit Income Tax resistance. See also Aaron Russo's film (online at Google Video and YouTube) "America: Freedom to Fascism" for more on this subject. It is legally impossible to prove criminal intent upon those who sincerely believe that the Income Tax is illegal, unconstitutionally, and fraudulently extracted from the American public. Ron Paul is the only candidate who would fix this by eliminating it (if Congress approved), and the so-called "Fair Tax" proposal's purpose is to abolish the IRS while INCREASING AND CEMENTING mandatory national sales tax on everyone. (Do not fall for that fraudulent scheme either). The Income Tax was setup originally as a "temporary" war tax to fund WWI, and that is its primary purpose since. The Income Tax is also one of the 10 planks of Communism. The government existed without an Income Tax up until 1913 with no problem, or property taxes for that matter.

See this Politico article. The real purpose of him dropping out will be to consolidate the pro-war votes behind fewer neocon, neo-republican candidates to prevent Ron Paul from beating them. Methinks Huckabee has proved himself to be the lead social conservative (hypocritical, tax-raising, unjust war waging) republican candidate to satisfy the "powers that be". Ron Paul benefited most by Thompson's entry by diluting votes from Romney and Giuliani, bringing Paul closer. McCain does not have a prayer of winning.

The Huckster is fooling naive conservatives (hiding his record on increasing taxes more than Clinton in Arkansas). Zogby says Ron Paul will exceed expectations, beat some "front runners" in Iowa, do well in New Hampshire, while his message continues to grow, and his free market economic message comes at no better time when the country is beginning to succumb to the inevitable consequences of massive government spending under a republican administration.

But they offer no concrete proposals as does Ron Paul, and their cheer leading for "optimism" (blue-blood Romney) is a denial of the severity of the problem that Americans already realize. Ron Paul offers the real solution to eliminate the Income Tax, cut the Federal government back to Constitutional limits, and stop excessive spending, particularly on a trillion dollar war policy.

Reading the fine print from Zogby shows the margin of error is up to 5 percent, which makes the entire status up in the air other than Romney. Ron Paul voters also are not represented by typical poll skewing toward land lines. It's early still, but trends are emerging. Romney will not maintain this high lead as advertising kicks in and more about him is known (i.e. CFR member, signed socialist mandatory health insurance bill in Mass). Fred Thompson might mosy out like he mosied in--last. (He did not show up for their debate, which was great offense to NH).

    blueridge
    by blueridge  11-17-2007    1
Not only deserters but veterans of the current wars are protesting them as not defensive wars for the U.S.. There could be then two classes of dissenters, deserters who flee and those who remain, due to fear of prosecution or what others might think, who remain until their terms is up. The dissent within the military goes drastically unreported. This article mentions dissent during Clinton's wars too, which republicans justly protested against, and Bush campaigned that he would not do the same ("humble foreign policy, no policing the world", as Ron Paul reminds them). But he has done much, much more. America is not fighting terrorists. It is overthrowing countries for global hegemony, which the neocons admit in their plan.

Nuclear Israel Likely to Attack Iran on False Claims
    blueridge
    by blueridge  11-8-2007    20
Israel possesses a nuclear arsenal supplied by the U.S.. Iran does not. Israel has attacked Lebanon and Syria. Iran has never attacked anyone. The U.S. has attacked two countries. Iran is developing nuclear power, not nuclear weapons. Iran has a right to self defense. Iran has never threatened to militarily attack Israel, only rejected the political legitimacy of the Zionist state arbitrarily carved out of Palestine by the UN under pressure of WWII. (Erased from a political map, not bombed into annihilation). Yet the corporate media does not want you to know these naked facts, but fully supports the Israeli, neoconservative, Bush-Cheney rhetoric of Iran starting a "nuclear holocaust"--a pack of blatant lies just like WMD in Iraq. Israel it appears will start this war, and the neocon Bush-Cheney administration wants them to before their term is up. War time always has improved political ratings also and could give the neo-republicans a boost over Ron Paul and the rest.
