POPSChinese Sub to USS McCain: "Kan Yu Heer Mi Nau?" Clang! And the USS McCain did not detect them? Or it seems the Chinese sub did not detect the "sonar array" being towed behind the McCain. Speculation in military forum clipped. Interesting "cat and mouse" play in Pacific. There is some ironic symbolism to all this, between China and McCain's namesake vessel.

POPSMcCain Goes Ballistic, Calls Out Obama on Appropriations Bill McCain in just indignation takes Obama to the mat on this massive spending bill, as well as the guilt of other republicans. Enough! Good honest anger at a corrupt bill the American people might be hung with. McCain (finally) expresses here the sentiment of millions of unrepresented Americans who have plenty of "taxation without (real) representation" in Washington DC. This is not politics, if you listen, his voice modulates with candor... he recites Obama's pledges against pork spending, time and place during campaign , does not spare Rahm Emanuel either, nor his own party. His final words: "So much for 'Change'"! Listen to his remarks in Congress at the mp3 link.

POPSRussia Counters Bush/NATO with Cuba Naval Visit International waters near the U.S., sending Obama a message (who takes the exact same position as Bush, McCain, and the neocons on provoking Russia). Sort of a reminder, maybe of the Cuban Missile Crisis, which is close to what the U.S. just did in missile treaties surrounding Russia. The chess game continues.

POPSConservatives and Neocons Praise Obama's Foreign Policy Team Obama's team is filled with a continuity, not a change, cast of players. Did Obama mislead democrats on foreign policy, or did they just not listen to what he said, particularly in his debate with McCain (where they sounded alike on war) and his trip to the Middle East? Republicans are more happy than Democrats. The global wars for regime change will continue.
1
POPSBrzezinski: Obama's CFR Puppet Master, Foreign Policy Adviser This Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) king pin seems to be the key figure behind Obama's candidacy and chief foreign policy adviser--a policy that will include more unjust wars to push for global domination. Zbig sounds as bad as the neocons and is chomping at the bit against Russia, which explains Obama's views as being so similar to McCain's in that regard. For another source see Brzezinski's own book The Grand Chessboard: American Primacy And It's Geostrategic Imperatives for a preview of what to expect. BTW, every Presidential candidate except Ron Paul, Ralph Nader and Chuck Baldwin were CFR members, including Hillary Clinton who could be Obama's Secretary of State. Get the picture?

POPSObama's 'Change' and Rahm-bo: Neo-conned Again? This article, if read, will burst the bubble of belief by Obama cheerleaders. (Did Pelosi or a Dem Congress change anything either?) Roberts does not spare Obama any more than he did Bush: War policy: In “Hail to the Chief of Staff,” Alexander Cockburn describes Emanuel as “a super-Likudnik hawk,” who as chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in 2006 “made great efforts to knock out antiwar Democratic candidates.” The neoconservatives were and are intimately tied to the Israeli Likud Party with its militant Zionist war agenda for a "new middle east". On Economy: Obama’s advisers are drawn from the same gang of Washington thugs and Wall Street banksters as Bush’s. Consider Obama's support of Lieberman then too, who supported McCain and is another "super-Likudnik hawk" when it comes to Israel and war policy. Get the picture yet? Some very important policies (primary ones) will not "change" at a

POPSObama Wants Lieberman in Dem Caucus for Foreign Policy
Lieberman is a Dem neocon and endorsed McCain. Why not just include McCain in the Dem Caucus then! This will continue the neocon and Zionist (Israel first) foreign policy of unjust wars for "regime change", a Democratic Jihad (holy war) if you will, under pretense of "war on terrorism" which Obama fully endorses. Obama wants a pro-war Democratic leadership to support his pro-war policy as he revealed in debates with McCain and on his middle east visit. Thus keeping Lieberman is key because the caucus controls the party in its "group think". His support of Lieberman with his pick of "Rahmbo" Emanuel (a very presumptuous name, meaning "God with us" in Hebrew , referring to Christ by the prophets) for Chief of Staff, foretells Obama's true foreign policy that will "change" little from McCain outside of Iraq. Lieberman changed to Independent after losing a Dem primary election, then won as independent. Anti-war Dems are being blocked out.
1
POPSObama's New World Order; "Change" is Required Listen carefully to the words of Obama's symbolic Berlin speech. We know the "war on terrorism" will continue from his debates with McCain, his view of Israel is similar, that the Surveillance State in America will continue to expand (his FISA domestic spying expansion vote), that he will NOT repeal the PATRIOT ACT, Homeland Security, REAL ID, or other anti-constitutional Executive Orders or legislation passed by the Bush-neocon administration. He will make use of the same apparatus for the same "global transformation". "Common security" (for their order ) is still being pled in his speech based upon 9/11. The "new world order" agenda of Social Change (under plea of "common humanity", despite any other distinctions) will be dictated and you will be required to adopt it, like it or not. Listen again. The burdens of global citizenship.....Americans and Europeans will be required to do more; partnership and cooperation is not a choice".

POPSRussia Makes Strategic Counter-Move: "Check" In response to the Bush/neocon/NATO missile deployment in the region. Obviously this sets the game, and pattern, to see what a President Obama will do. From Obama's debates with McCain we see no evidence of "change" or even acknowledgment of the truth of the Georgia-Russia-S. Ossetia conflict (i.e. Georgia attacked and invaded S. Ossetia first).

POPSThe Real Racists in the Obama/McCain Election This is politically incorrect but statistically undeniable and hereby proven. Just who really was it that voted based upon race alone? Blacks, 96 percent Obama to 3 percent McCain Yet the charge will never be leveled at this demographic group, but why not? It is blatantly true. Did blacks really not consider any other principles or policies? Apparently only 4 percent did in this monolithic vote. Frankly, (dare we say so), the mob block vote of blacks has all the appearance of a demographic gang solely based upon the zeal to beat out whites for positions of power. So whites should be in large cleared, as a population group, from the charge of racism, despite the MSM preachers constantly harassing and forcing the charge. Their own statistics now have settled the matter for good. The results here speak more loudly than the rhetoric of all the politically-correct pundits now writing the headlines touting the first Black President.

POPSZogby Pre-election Final: Obama 54, McCain 43 Nov 4 poll. Zogby is usually most accurate, we will see. Note that McCain has only 75 percent of conservative vote (even with Palin) , many bailed out on him. Republicans should make a careful note of this. As I clipped previously, McCain lost considerable "conservatives" and "moderates" from his party , and then gets romped by "independents" going to Obama (if this poll holds true). Moral: "If you stand for nothing you lose everything". I also believe the "fear tactics" backfired (while several issues are legitimate, including blatant communistic policies of Obama)--largely because of the LIES OF THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION casting its shadow over Republicans, which cause Fear tactics to be outright rejected now, without consideration. I received two robo-calls for McCain, one from Robert Duvall and another from a male country performer (Merle Haggard?). Desperate "get out the vote" moves, which people likely hang up on.

POPSPalin's Gone Wild: "Rogue Diva" vs McCain Advisers I knew this would happen. She has been handled, and that is something her history shows she does not like. Sarah is impossible to tame. McCain has a problem, and Sarah appears to be out for (no surprise here), Sarah. McCain's first crisis is his own pick for VP. This blog covers it well, along with CNN. Now read how this one adviser hauls off and knocks Palin right in the chops: "She is a diva. She takes no advice from anyone," said this McCain adviser. "She does not have any relationships of trust with any of us, her family or anyone else. "Also, she is playing for her own future and sees herself as the next leader of the party. Remember: Divas trust only unto themselves, as they see themselves as the beginning and end of all wisdom." WOW...THIS ADVISER IS RIGHT! If anyone can read her history and character, this McCain adviser just hit the proverbial nail on the head. THIS IS THE REAL SARAH PALIN, WHO HAS JUST BEEN VETTED.

POPSRNC Puts Palin on Fashion Welfare; Palin Goes Wild Republicans give Clothing-Stamps to Palin and family. Palin uses it at Neiman Mark-Ups. What hypocrisy. Talk about Socialism! She cannot afford her own clothes? They are millionaires! Meet the real Jane six-pack. Still think she is "conservative" fiscally? Take a look at the itemized bills. Spends like a "liberal" doesn't she? I wonder how people who donated to the RNC feel about this spending of their contributions? Just another example of Palin's principles, she will accept charity and handouts from others. Really, how did she talk the RNC into this? Or did they want her to get a "makeover" in fashion? I wonder how much they paid for her hair do-over. Question: If Palin was a man running for VP, would he get this treatment? Not a chance. So this policy is sexist too.

POPSPalin Brings Feminism to Republicans and Christians In case it was unclear, Sarah Palin is a "card-carrying feminist", excluding only abortion. Yet religious and Christian conservatives still praise her and claim the republican party is their party, although there is some growing dissent. No longer can Rush Limbaugh talk of the radical "Femi-nazis" then without including republican VP candidate Palin in that monologue, can he? . For a unique critique on feminism see this article which says in part: most contemporary feminism...is what Sommers has called "gender feminism," which is essentially based on a form of Marxist theory that substitutes "gender" for Marx's category of "class," or simply adds the two together, usually with "race" thrown in. This sort of "race, class, and gender" theory is typically a dangerous form of political moralism, with the same totalitarian characteristics as other versions of Marxism have proven to display.

POPS'Joe the Plumber'-Gate; GOP Plant? The article cites a few more interesting facts, among which are these. Seems like "Joe six-pack" may have been a GOP plant, unless you believe that republicans show up to Obama rallies and that only FOX News caught him in the "candid moment": -- He is registered as a Republican, and voted in the state's GOP primary in March, county elections records show. But he was previously registered, dating back to 2007, in the Natural Law Party. -- He has lived in McCain's home state of Arizona - in both Mesa and Tucson. -- He lived in GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin's home state of Alaska - in North Pole, from September 1992 to July 1993. The quote by familysecuritymatters.org is interesting, particularly it proves "intent" and that website is a neoconservative propaganda front. Of course now the accusations that this not-so-average Joe, who is NOT a plumber, is being attacked is an attempt to out-shout the truth like children on a playgr

POPSMcCain Advocates Communism in Debate; Homeowner Bailout Taxpayers to bailout defaulting homeowners? Let's take 300 of that billion and go in and buy those home loan mortgages and negotiate with those people in their homes, 11 million homes or more, so that they can afford to pay the mortgage, stay in their home. Then, he even ADMITS the criticism, how is that fair to responsible homeowners, that have to pay for the bailout of others who did not make their payments as contracted? Now, I know the criticism of this. Well, what about the citizen that stayed in their homes...That paid their mortgage payments? It doesn't help that person in their home if the next door neighbor's house is abandoned. And so we've got to reverse this. We ought to put the homeowners first. McCain advocates communism, which the dictionary defines: a system in which goods are owned in common and are available to all as needed For a Vietnam Vet fighting communism to advocate thi

POPSIt's Over: Obama 49, McCain 43 in Zogby Tracking Zogby is usually right on the mark. Independent voters make the difference if this extrapolation holds true. Meanwhile, the Constitution Party candidate is calling traditional conservatives and friends of limited, constitutional government (which Bush has trampled) to "not waste a vote on McCain", since he will lose: Ladies and gentlemen, Barack Obama is headed for an electoral landslide victory over John McCain. John McCain can no more beat Barack Obama than Bob Dole could beat Bill Clinton. I ask, therefore, Are not conservatives and Christians who vote for John McCain guilty of the same thing that they accuse people who vote for third party candidates of doing? Are they not voting for someone who cannot win? I like this quote, if only everyone would do this: As John Quincy Adams said, "Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone..."
7
POPSPalin Plays Desperate Housewife for Votes Sarah lets her hair down. The final move of desperation, which was seen by her obvious flirting and winking directly into the camera during the VP debate, has now gone into full swing, in a desperate attempt to draw MEN voters for the ticket. (Vote for Sarah, if not for McCain). I thought I was the only one that noticed this (I can read her like a book) until I saw that Arianna Huffington was saying the same thing I was thinking. Woman are likely to see this more than men (from their own playbooks). ( Arianna would know (look) , their is a similarity in the "sexy hair" look.) "Only her hairdresser knows for sure"--and they quote her!

POPSModerate Republicans:"Who is John McCain?" John McCain has a serious problem with his own constituency, moderate republicans. They are crossing the aisle too now, to support his opponent. Chafee said he has spoken with several other moderate Republican leaders, and "there are a whole lot of us deserting." About Palin: As for McCain's choice of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin for his running mate, "there's no question she's totally unqualified," Chafee said. They would do better, however, supporting third party instead of supporting Obama who will NOT change the neocon "war on terrorism" and foreign policy agenda (where he sounds alot like McCain), and will NOT have policies that improve the economy nor restore our constitutional liberties trampled by Homeland Security policies. (Obama has not promised to rescind any of the Exec orders or legislation pushed by Bush gov't. Traditional conservatives have a problem with McCain too, and are leaning toward Constitution or Libertarian party cand

POPSSenator Byrd Rips McCain on Earmarks It takes ear-marks to get back our gas taxes for interstate and highways work. For some reason the federal government taxes at the pump alot but then alots and apportions money to be spent by ear-marks. This is a good example of a necessary and justifiable ear-mark. Note the republican Congresswoman Capito supported this very big ear-mark too, and West Virginians (and alot of truck lines who move freight through the state, and help pay for the interstates also through tolls) are not complaining. McCain lost all credibility on ear-marks when he supported the Bailout Bill absolutely loaded with them. Perhaps McCain's biggest hypocrisy on Earmarks is the enormous earmark spending (he supports) for Israel , instead of for Americans.

POPS"Maverick" McCain Supports Pork-Stuffed Bailout Bill McCain just contradicted his entire "reform" message. He had opportunity to lead the way, against Big Interest. But instead he supported it, under the plea of "necessity" of course. There was a radio talk show that did an excellent job on this today, but it was new to me and I could not find it on the web. The former republican (a conservative or libertarian host), complete with soundbites, ripped McCain to shreds, called him "an idiot". He could have won the election (and saved Main Street) by voting against it, and proved that he is against pork bills, against Big Interests, and a "maverick" for "reform", but did not! (If anyone knows the radio talk show and heard it, please post it in a comment. It was the best commentary on this anywhere).

POPSSenate Passes Pork-Stuffed Bailout Bill Oink, Oink! Your Senate at work, stuffing ear-marks into the "must pass" financial bailout bill. They all lined up. This by itself should make it very tempting to reject by republicans. Yet the hypocrite McCain, as well as Obama, supports it, (and Bush would sign it), even though it will NOT FIX THE PROBLEM, BUT EXACERBATE IT (according to economists who know), and put all Americans and the federal government on the hook for the about a TRillion Dollars in new debt, transferring bad debt from Wall Street to Main Street. Even more sickening about all this is that both McCain and Obama support this balderdash. It favors Obama as he wants more government spending and government control. This however flies in the face of what McCain has been saying that he will veto earmarks and pork barrel spending. THE HOUSE SHOULD REJECT THIS. CALL THEM!

POPSThe Next Financial Bailout Bill Will Not Work
The truth is often so politically-incorrect. You will note that this was published in the UK, not in a US newspaper, and certainly not from the MSM. In other words get ready for a second hard sell since the first bailout bill was rejected (due to pressure from average citizens). Bush will bully-pulpit, Pelosi and Ried will scream again, and even republicans will line up, both Obama and McCain will push the same pitch and try to get wary Americans to sign on the bottom line. But the plan would not work. He says this is why bank stocks, not just investment firms are falling too: traditional banking – collecting retail deposits and making loans to ordinary customers – is barely profitable. Compared with the potential gains from a day at the currency-swap races, or a night in the derivatives casino, current accounts are cold potatoes. That is why bonus-hungry executives, at what we used to think of as boring banks, were so keen to spin the red-hot wheel of fortune. [/quo

POPSThe House Sides with Main St: "No Deal" to Banksters! In this real game of "Deal or No Deal" the American taxpayer finally won a round against the financial heavyweights. While idiots in the House and talk radio (and the McCain campaign) tried to make this a partisan issue, Bloomberg tallies here that 40% of Democrats and 67% of Republicans combined together to narrowly defeat the Fed's bill that Bush supported. THAT IS CALLED A BI-PARTISAN DEFEAT OF THE BILL THAT AMERICANS IN THE MAJORITY TOLD CONGRESS THEY HATED! Conservative talk show host Michael Savage tonight (who has been railing against Bush as a fiscal socialist and the Wall Street banksters as crooks) underscored that he was right that Americans wanted "no deal" while talk show corporate sycophants (he let them have it by name)--i.e. Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Bill O'Reilly--who supported the bailout were wrong. The defeat of this irresponsible bill was not based upon Partisanship, but good Principle.

POPSPalin: "Only Flag in My Office" is Israeli
So which "country first"? This is why she is McCain's running mate, as she bows to the neocon-Israeli agenda. Seriously, for those who defend her no matter what she does or says, blindly, what do you think of this statement which smacks of blatant flattery? You must conclude that she either (1) was mistaken in what she said (i.e. "she did not really mean that"), so she is unable to speak intelligently, or (2) she does mean it and therefore puts American and Alaska interests under that of the state called Israel and its militant Zionist agenda. Clearly she was trying to flatter and impress Peres, which is of course a form of lying for personal benefit, and not very Christian. Truly Palin is "AIPAC approved" and is a sycophant of the neocon agenda that McCain (and Lieberman) push. TRUSTWORTHINESS is something that has been lacking in Washington, and it appears that Palin is no "reformer" in that regard. (Again, not claiming that Obama is worthy either. He is not).
2
POPSMcCain's Foreign Policy: Global Democratic Gang McCain calls for a "League of Democracies" for the purposes of "peace" but actually for war. Its key principle is "entangling alliances" which George Washington warned against, starting with NATO as its foundation. This is actually an old plan and precisely what the UN is all about except it cuts China and Russia out. This is consistent with George Bush (Bush 41) "new world order" speech where he talked about a United Nations that lives up to the intention of its founders, as he launched Iraq War I. GWB 43 has also made reference to similar principles while already by-passing the UN when it is reluctant to launch a war. Actually it makes little difference, except to show that Russia and China will be cut out of decisions because they will be the new targets of contest under his neocon vision. The call to "make the world safe for democracy" (like Wilson and FDR) has been the foundation of world wars, and likely more.

POPSConservative Columnist: Palin Should Drop Out
Her gender is blinding many to her incompetence. (Sexism blinds). The last comment clipped above is dead on the mark, and it takes a female conservative columnist to finally say "the Emperor has no clothes". Palin is absolutely "out of her league" and unfit for office. There is a growing list of conservatives (David Brooks, George Will, and David Frum) saying the same thing , and nothing could be more dangerous than to have an immature, teen sounding, novice and unpredictable VP candidate that could very well become President. The other thing is that the swell of columnists are finally taking the "inexperience" line because there is likely truth to the sourced story about her affair and the Trooper-gate allegation is being pursued by republicans in Alaska, both of which could torpedo the entire ticket if they break before Nov. 4th. Palin brings alot of baggage with her, and the McCain campaign has been distancing her from reporters and media for a reason.

POPSMcCain Has Aggressively Attacked Gun Rights McCain is at least as much of a threat to gun rights as Obama, and this from a good source. In fact his record proves that he is more aggressive against gun rights than Obama has demonstrated. McCain is a neoconservative, not a conservative. Go to the Gun Owners of America link at bottom of clip to see how they tear him to shreds on this issue. (This is not posted to support Obama but to check the propaganda that shills for McCain)

POPSBailouts Represent Usurped Dictatorial Powers by Bush, Fed, and Treasury Bloomberg warns, read the whole article. Bush, the Fed, the Treasury are seizing power, upon an Economic 9/11, and Congress is being coerced into immediate conformity (not wanting to take the blame for "doing nothing", while the financial companies who caused it escape accountability with free bailout) during an election season (Obama and McCain are quoted). The power is dictatorial and dangerous. It is in fact another Usurpation of power.

POPSPalins-McCain Block Troopergate Investigation If there was nothing to hide Todd would appear as subpoenad and McCain would not have sent his best lawyers to Alaska! They are holding out (contempt of court?) til after the November elections. Todd's lawyer says its "partisanship", yet the investigation is bipartisan and it is republicans in Alaska that wanted it! Are they afraid of the republicans? Is Todd in refusing in contempt of court? Todd is a pawn that is moved by and for his wife's ambitions. If there is nothing to hide why resist?

POPSRepublican Congressman: Russia was Right! But you won't hear this from McCain or Palin, nor Obama or other democrats, who all parrot the LIE of the neocon's official story. A bold republican Congressman is quoted, virtually paraphrasing the piece written by Pat Buchanan earlier (which I clipmarked, "Georgia Started It, Russia Finished It"). The tide against the propaganda is turning. Buchanan, Savage, now this Congressman and many more. Now this is from a Russian news agency, so to be objective I see no citation of the title that "US Intelligence" (not just the Congressman quoted) takes this view. But then the MSM does not report intelligence usually. They usually parrot the neocon propaganda. Note the unreported toll on civilians in just a few days in S. Ossetia, from Georgia's assault! More than 1500 civilians were killed in that time, according to South Ossetian authorities.

POPSPalin Supports and Promotes Freemasonry Her recent declaration, April 2008, encourages, supports, and promotes various Masonic secret societies which are anti-Christian in their secret oaths, rites, symbolism, and ceremonies that push a philosophical and spiritual global agenda behind their outward charities. Even the anti-Christian Deist Thomas Paine wrote that freemasonry can be traced back to Druidism . Freemasonry teaches Deism and rejects the authority of scripture (while they hypocritically swear upon it), and takes a Deistic interpretation of the Bible. Again, the "christian conservatives" should take note of what "their candidate" is really all about instead of being naive. (Bush is a member, like Kerry too, of Skull & Bones).

POPSPalin Plays the Hillary Card, Blatant Attempt to Swing Women Voters
A blatant appeal to feminist sexism here by Palin to chase women votes, i.e. vote for me because I am the woman candidate you wanted (forget everything else)! It was disgusting when Hillary played it, but now Palin does likewise. There is some truth to what she says, but her blatant flattery (which the Bible condemns as hypocrisy) of Hillary is dishonest (and she gets called on it in this clip). The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips--Ps. 12:3 ...including Palin's. Clearly the purpose here is to 1) preempt speculation that Biden will be swapped for Hillary after a reported meeting with Bill Clinton, and 2) to go after the embittered Hillary supporters who vowed to not support Obama. Palin here is trying to pick off the most vulnerable of the Democratic flock. Seriously now, does the GOP and republicans agree with her praises of Hillary? Let's hear now if Sean Hannity or Rush Limbaugh or Bill O'Reilly agree with her--if they dare!

POPSRon Paul Urges Third-Party Vote, Refuses to Endorse McCain Now this is a "maverick" and a "reformer", refusing to endorse the Rino McCain of his same party despite that he has an (R) after his name. If anyone wants to stop the entire phony "war on terrorism", retrieve our liberties and restore Constitutional government, and rein in big government spending (including for unjust wars)--which causes inflation thru dollar devaluation-- the only choice is to vote third party. If everyone voted their conscience, refusing to be bullied into supporting the major two parties, change could then happen. The media drives everyone to support either R or D, so nothing ever changes. Obama openly stated he is for the "war on terrorism", in Afghanistan, and even to attack within Pakistan, like Bush and McCain. Pray tell, what is the difference and "change" then!

POPSIsrael Wants to Attack Iran, US Military Aid Denied Israel is impotent without the U.S.. They have always used America in their own war agendas. Note the strategic importance in the big picture of Iraqi air space which this Israeli news article mentions! This is just one reason why Israel and the neocon agenda demanded regime change in Iraq, which clears the way for further wars of aggression in the region by Israel, under a pretense of a "war on terrorism" (which both Obama and McCain will continue). Note too that while the US has been somewhat restraining Israel, this is mentioned too: Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, in private discussions, even raised the possibility that the U.S. was considering an attack in the transition period between the election in November and the inauguration of the new president in January 2009.

POPSM. Savage: Bush Nationalizes Banks, Freddie/Fannie Bailout "Bush is a fiscal socialist", and says McCain is no better, and certainly not Obama. The bail-out of Freddie and Fannie DOUBLED the national debt over the weekend . The economy is in big trouble. He's right, America is clearly socialist (and has been since FDR), while republicans think Bush is conservative, and McCain will not change that either.

POPSWasilla, Alaska Resident Vetts Sarah Palin Now that you know the writer has first-hand knowledge read the entire article if you really want to read a more thorough review of Palin which paints a different picture than those on either side trying to create their own portrait for their own ends. Why not a more objective look? The writer even openly states her motives for writing. Republicans in particular should be interested in her practices as a "fiscal conservative" and democrats will see they have little to fear. "Sarah Barracuda", as she was called early, is more of a populist than anything, who changes her mind when she smells heavy political pressure.
2
POPSWSJ: Palin Not Too Conservative, Pragmatic Which is why McCain chose her--for image only. Sarah Palin is McCain's 'Dan Quayle' (an election ploy that worked for GHWB), who would not interfere with his neoconservative agenda, including on social issues. In regards to oil drilling in Alaska: Sen. McCain opposes ANWR drilling. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal in June, Gov. Palin said that when she met with Sen. McCain at a governor's conference in Washington, they discussed energy but parted company on the issue of drilling in ANWR, which he has opposed. And in regard to her position on a social issue: she supports abstinence-until-marriage programs, where teens are taught to refrain from sex until marriage and contraception is discussed only to explain its failings. ....."Christian conservatives" should see she did not do a very good job in her own family on that issue (i.e. Bristol's pregnancy and open under-age drinking), instead of giving her blind praise.
2
POPSFluff vs. Facts: Fact-Checking Sarah Palin What Sarah said during her RNC speech was VERY misleading. Conservatives especially should take note of her fiscal record on government spending before they jump up and down at their own Wonder Woman savior with her own stage-craft. Trust is established on proof, not mere presentation and rhetoric. Even conservative Michael Savage is going after Palin and McCain as mere show horses, while the masses of the seduced and ear-tickled of the conservative naive get swept away by a little known governor who knows how to play to an audience, of men in particular , whose scandals and real "ethics" and "family values" are just now coming to light . Republicans are being tricked the most--and not for the first time--McCain loves it! And about the Alaska plane that she put on Ebay...
