Independents Dominate "Two Party" System, GOP Sinks
    blueridge
    by blueridge  5-20-2009
Gallup proves that non-partisans lead slightly who are not loyal to the political party machinery. GOP is sinking, people disenfranchised after George W. Bush and 2008 election process. Republicans should blame Neoconservatism (Bush-Cheney and Co., including RINO primary candidates) for their fall. To put it another way the republican party has put itself in "exile", which nobody trusts.

It's Over: Obama 49, McCain 43 in Zogby Tracking
    blueridge
    by blueridge  10-14-2008    8
Zogby is usually right on the mark. Independent voters make the difference if this extrapolation holds true. Meanwhile, the Constitution Party candidate is calling traditional conservatives and friends of limited, constitutional government (which Bush has trampled) to "not waste a vote on McCain", since he will lose: Ladies and gentlemen, Barack Obama is headed for an electoral landslide victory over John McCain. John McCain can no more beat Barack Obama than Bob Dole could beat Bill Clinton. I ask, therefore, Are not conservatives and Christians who vote for John McCain guilty of the same thing that they accuse people who vote for third party candidates of doing? Are they not voting for someone who cannot win? I like this quote, if only everyone would do this: As John Quincy Adams said, "Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone..."

    Moderate Republicans:"Who is John McCain?"
    blueridge
    by blueridge  10-12-2008    1
John McCain has a serious problem with his own constituency, moderate republicans. They are crossing the aisle too now, to support his opponent. Chafee said he has spoken with several other moderate Republican leaders, and "there are a whole lot of us deserting." About Palin: As for McCain's choice of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin for his running mate, "there's no question she's totally unqualified," Chafee said. They would do better, however, supporting third party instead of supporting Obama who will NOT change the neocon "war on terrorism" and foreign policy agenda (where he sounds alot like McCain), and will NOT have policies that improve the economy nor restore our constitutional liberties trampled by Homeland Security policies. (Obama has not promised to rescind any of the Exec orders or legislation pushed by Bush gov't. Traditional conservatives have a problem with McCain too, and are leaning toward Constitution or Libertarian party cand

Both left and right on Main St. oppose the bailout bill, and for good reason. Take a look here at how mad many on the left are. Here is his punch line to the get-a-long Democrats in Congress--call it a hard left hook: To the former, the Democratic Party, I say: your support of this Bill as it stands or in any form that simply hands over money and asks the market to take care of the mess makes you our enemies, not our advocates. ...then he lands one squarely on Obama's jaw: To Barack Obama I say: you are a fraud on public credulity. You are no more a "change" agent than I am the Pope. With your support of this bailout, you have acted in direct contradiction to your promise of change Last chance to call your house rep before they RUIN both the market and the economy with those latest Bailout bill.

Palin Plays the Hillary Card, Blatant Attempt to Swing Women Voters
    blueridge
    by blueridge  9-13-2008    3
A blatant appeal to feminist sexism here by Palin to chase women votes, i.e. vote for me because I am the woman candidate you wanted (forget everything else)! It was disgusting when Hillary played it, but now Palin does likewise. There is some truth to what she says, but her blatant flattery (which the Bible condemns as hypocrisy) of Hillary is dishonest (and she gets called on it in this clip). The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips--Ps. 12:3 ...including Palin's. Clearly the purpose here is to 1) preempt speculation that Biden will be swapped for Hillary after a reported meeting with Bill Clinton, and 2) to go after the embittered Hillary supporters who vowed to not support Obama. Palin here is trying to pick off the most vulnerable of the Democratic flock. Seriously now, does the GOP and republicans agree with her praises of Hillary? Let's hear now if Sean Hannity or Rush Limbaugh or Bill O'Reilly agree with her--if they dare!

Now that you know the writer has first-hand knowledge read the entire article if you really want to read a more thorough review of Palin which paints a different picture than those on either side trying to create their own portrait for their own ends. Why not a more objective look? The writer even openly states her motives for writing. Republicans in particular should be interested in her practices as a "fiscal conservative" and democrats will see they have little to fear. "Sarah Barracuda", as she was called early, is more of a populist than anything, who changes her mind when she smells heavy political pressure.

Bob Barr: The "Change" of the Republican Party
    blueridge
    by blueridge  9-5-2008    3
Powerful. The neo-republican party exposed from a former republican who pushed to impeach Clinton. Barr's credibility from being a very influential republican Congressman, and earlier experience in the CIA, make his arguments formidable. During the last 8 years republicans have left their own platform, especially regarding limited government and individual liberty which they once championed. Listen on REAL audio beginning at 1:00:00 mark. Despite much talk of democracy the Libertarian candidate is being excluded from debates from the two-party tyranny. Ron Paul and Bob Barr are just two effective witnesses to the "change" of the republican party and the great danger to freedom it poses. .

Why McCain Picked Palin: Not Too Conservative
    blueridge
    by blueridge  9-3-2008    1
She was neither a Romney nor a Lieberman, and shored up his broken maverick image. "Conservative...but not an ideologue", per McCain's inner circle. Ms. Palin, and not Mr. Pawlenty or Mr. Romney, would reinforce Mr. McCain’s self-image, an adviser said. She had a reputation as a reformer in Alaska, she hunted and fished, and she had once belonged to a union. Just as crucial, Ms. Palin, 44, was beloved by the party’s religious base but did not come off as shrill. “She’s conservative,” Mr. Black said, “but she’s not an ideologue.”

Palin Pledges Allegiance to AIPAC--Stamped "Approved"
    blueridge
    by blueridge  9-3-2008    6
From "Alaska First", and by-passing "America First", Palin goes straight to "Israel First". By consequence and definition then she can no longer be considered a "reformer". Like McCain, Obama, Pelosi, Hillary, and every other former 2008 candidate, the ultimate test of worthiness is not the American people but to the overbearing Lobby of a foreign government that sets the course of foreign policy in alliance with the neoconservatives--ensuring a continuance of the phony "war on terrorism"--to "make the world safe for Democracy" through wars for "regime change". How quickly Washington transforms everyone, even from the remotest states, by coercing conformity to global democratic agenda and blind allegiance to Israel through the muscle of The Lobby. This trumps all other considerations, is the hallmark of foreign policy (and why wars never cease), which also in turn has consequences on the economy (high gas prices, national debt, value of money) and domestic policy as well.

Bombshell Lawsuit: Obama Not U.S. Citizen--Democrat Files Injunction

Democrat and former Asst. Attorney General of PA has filed a lawsuit saying that the republicans are waiting to launch this same attack after his nomination, i.e. a justifiable legal objection he claims disqualifying Obama for President per the Constitution and the laws that applied at the time of his birth and early life. Berg argues that Barack Obama was born in Kenya in 1961 to an American woman, Stanley Ann Dunham, and a Kenyan man, Barack Hussein Obama Senior, as reportedly shown by a birth certificate from Mombasa Maternity Hospital. According to the law at that time, a parent could pass US citizenship on to a child born abroad if the parent was at least 19 years old. Obama's mother was only 18. No hospital birth certificate has been produced to show Obama was born in Hawaii, only a certificate of birth registry after the fact, which forensics experts have denounced as a forgery. McCain's citizenship has also been questioned in the past making this an issu

The Maverick is not and the "Change" candidate is shifting. Politicians are like Chameleons, changing color depending their context to fit in. Trustworthiness and forthrightness are not to be found, and considered detrimental to obtaining power, ironically, when most Americans want to reverse the present course without question, instead of simply tailoring and amending it. Don't think the BBC article is correct about McCain however, he is shifting left, distancing from Bush, since republicans are left without an alternative (except for increasing third party candidates).

This is quite a contrast to his "Bom, bom, bom...bomb, bomb Iran" to the Beach Boys segment here. Will the real John McCain please stand up? Going into war with Iraq had nothing to do with "keeping the country I love safe", whatsoever, unless you still believe Iraq was behind 9/11 and possessed WMD. These are neoconservative wars planned in advance of 9/11 and James Woolsey and Bill Kristol (key neocon and PNAC members) are among his advisers, and his foreign policy is called "rogue state roll-back"--i.e. more wars for democracy!

Obama has come under closer scrutiny due to his close association with, and membership in the church of, his pastor Rev. Jeremiah Wright who teaches what is being exposed as radical Black Liberation Theology, which under pretense of religion, advocates revolutionary agenda that has its roots in the abolitionist terrorist John Brown and the (much unknown) Secret Six who started "red republicanism", which fomented the so-called Civil War. People should read more about this and they will see that Jeremiah Wright, and even the lesser radicalism of Obama (or is it less?) is part of the same agenda of continued social revolution, violent or by lesser means of coercion. A black theologian at Covenant Theological Seminary has written articles, and been on TV, showing the Marxist Roots of Black Liberation Theology .

Yet republicans complain about Big Government while this administration sets records for spending, and the "leading candidates" plan to "stay the course" while paying lip service to "excessive spending". Excessive spending means the Fed prints more money, the dollar is devalued, and leads directly to inflationary prices based upon increasingly worthless dollars (while your dollar revenues from employment remain the same).
