Zogby Pre-election Final: Obama 54, McCain 43
blueridge
by blueridge  11-4-2008    3
Nov 4 poll. Zogby is usually most accurate, we will see. Note that McCain has only 75 percent of conservative vote (even with Palin) , many bailed out on him. Republicans should make a careful note of this. As I clipped previously, McCain lost considerable "conservatives" and "moderates" from his party , and then gets romped by "independents" going to Obama (if this poll holds true). Moral: "If you stand for nothing you lose everything". I also believe the "fear tactics" backfired (while several issues are legitimate, including blatant communistic policies of Obama)--largely because of the LIES OF THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION casting its shadow over Republicans, which cause Fear tactics to be outright rejected now, without consideration. I received two robo-calls for McCain, one from Robert Duvall and another from a male country performer (Merle Haggard?). Desperate "get out the vote" moves, which people likely hang up on.

Obama's "Civilian National Security Force"--Scary
blueridge

Sounds like KGB Russia where citizen spies watch everyone else. This is crazy! Talk about fascism and Bush's Homeland Security...this is even worse! Do Democrats want this, while they have been against Bush's draconian and surveillance state policies since 9/11? This is NOT a "change" for the better, but worse, and Obama is beginning to show his own Dictatorial dark side. Frankly, this proves he is absolutely unworthy of the Presidency, for the Constitution grants no such powers. This is Homeland Tyranny part II. Obama's vision is to radically change America and take away our freedoms toward a FORCED national collectivism.

Palin's Gone Wild: "Rogue Diva" vs McCain Advisers
blueridge

I knew this would happen. She has been handled, and that is something her history shows she does not like. Sarah is impossible to tame. McCain has a problem, and Sarah appears to be out for (no surprise here), Sarah. McCain's first crisis is his own pick for VP. This blog covers it well, along with CNN. Now read how this one adviser hauls off and knocks Palin right in the chops: "She is a diva. She takes no advice from anyone," said this McCain adviser. "She does not have any relationships of trust with any of us, her family or anyone else. "Also, she is playing for her own future and sees herself as the next leader of the party. Remember: Divas trust only unto themselves, as they see themselves as the beginning and end of all wisdom." WOW...THIS ADVISER IS RIGHT! If anyone can read her history and character, this McCain adviser just hit the proverbial nail on the head. THIS IS THE REAL SARAH PALIN, WHO HAS JUST BEEN VETTED.

Obama's Mixed Message, Powell's Endorsement
blueridge
by blueridge  10-21-2008
Listen to democrats justly criticize Obama's shifty positions on war. He promises Powell a role in his administration, despite that fact that Powell gave the most dishonest presentation to the UN (for the American audience really) of false evidence to justify war against Iraq. Yet Obama promises him a role in his administration? DAVID SIROTA: My fear is this. My concern is that Barack Obama has taken somewhat differing positions on the war. He spoke out pretty forcefully against it when it was politically opportune, when he was running in a Democratic primary for the US Senate. And then, when he got to the Senate, he was basically silent on the war. And then in the lead-up to his presidential campaign, during that Democratic primary, he had supported a series of timetable votes. And now he’s saying, today, in a general election, that Colin Powell, a guy who got us into this war, who lied us into this war, is going to be one of his top advisers.

Palin Brings Feminism to Republicans and Christians
blueridge
by blueridge  10-19-2008    4
In case it was unclear, Sarah Palin is a "card-carrying feminist", excluding only abortion. Yet religious and Christian conservatives still praise her and claim the republican party is their party, although there is some growing dissent. No longer can Rush Limbaugh talk of the radical "Femi-nazis" then without including republican VP candidate Palin in that monologue, can he? . For a unique critique on feminism see this article which says in part: most contemporary feminism...is what Sommers has called "gender feminism," which is essentially based on a form of Marxist theory that substitutes "gender" for Marx's category of "class," or simply adds the two together, usually with "race" thrown in. This sort of "race, class, and gender" theory is typically a dangerous form of political moralism, with the same totalitarian characteristics as other versions of Marxism have proven to display.

'Joe the Plumber'-Gate; GOP Plant?

The article cites a few more interesting facts, among which are these. Seems like "Joe six-pack" may have been a GOP plant, unless you believe that republicans show up to Obama rallies and that only FOX News caught him in the "candid moment": -- He is registered as a Republican, and voted in the state's GOP primary in March, county elections records show. But he was previously registered, dating back to 2007, in the Natural Law Party. -- He has lived in McCain's home state of Arizona - in both Mesa and Tucson. -- He lived in GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin's home state of Alaska - in North Pole, from September 1992 to July 1993. The quote by familysecuritymatters.org is interesting, particularly it proves "intent" and that website is a neoconservative propaganda front. Of course now the accusations that this not-so-average Joe, who is NOT a plumber, is being attacked is an attempt to out-shout the truth like children on a playgr

It's Over: Obama 49, McCain 43 in Zogby Tracking
blueridge
by blueridge  10-14-2008    8
Zogby is usually right on the mark. Independent voters make the difference if this extrapolation holds true. Meanwhile, the Constitution Party candidate is calling traditional conservatives and friends of limited, constitutional government (which Bush has trampled) to "not waste a vote on McCain", since he will lose: Ladies and gentlemen, Barack Obama is headed for an electoral landslide victory over John McCain. John McCain can no more beat Barack Obama than Bob Dole could beat Bill Clinton. I ask, therefore, Are not conservatives and Christians who vote for John McCain guilty of the same thing that they accuse people who vote for third party candidates of doing? Are they not voting for someone who cannot win? I like this quote, if only everyone would do this: As John Quincy Adams said, "Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone..."

They would do better, however, supporting third party instead of supporting Obama who will NOT change the neocon "war on terrorism" and foreign policy agenda (where he sounds alot like McCain), and will NOT have policies that improve the economy nor restore our constitutional liberties trampled by Homeland Security policies.  It takes ear-marks to get back our gas taxes for interstate and highways work. For some reason the federal government taxes at the pump alot but then alots and apportions money to be spent by ear-marks. This is a good example of a necessary and justifiable ear-mark. Note the republican Congresswoman Capito supported this very big ear-mark too, and West Virginians (and alot of truck lines who move freight through the state, and help pay for the interstates also through tolls) are not complaining. McCain lost all credibility on ear-marks when he supported the Bailout Bill absolutely loaded with them. Perhaps McCain's biggest hypocrisy on Earmarks is the enormous earmark spending (he supports) for Israel , instead of for Americans.

The politics of Obama and the fearful Dems (Pelosi) cannot be overlooked in passing the bailout (even with republicans resisting): He lobbied hard for the bill. He did so, according to some who met with him on Capitol Hill, because he feared that if he opposed the bailout and it triggered a market collapse it could cost him the election. Better to placate the thieves on Wall Street than stand up for the masses of enraged and swindled citizens.

Conservative Columnist: Palin Should Drop Out

Her gender is blinding many to her incompetence. (Sexism blinds). The last comment clipped above is dead on the mark, and it takes a female conservative columnist to finally say "the Emperor has no clothes". Palin is absolutely "out of her league" and unfit for office. There is a growing list of conservatives (David Brooks, George Will, and David Frum) saying the same thing , and nothing could be more dangerous than to have an immature, teen sounding, novice and unpredictable VP candidate that could very well become President. The other thing is that the swell of columnists are finally taking the "inexperience" line because there is likely truth to the sourced story about her affair and the Trooper-gate allegation is being pursued by republicans in Alaska, both of which could torpedo the entire ticket if they break before Nov. 4th. Palin brings alot of baggage with her, and the McCain campaign has been distancing her from reporters and media for a reason.

Palin Plays the Hillary Card, Blatant Attempt to Swing Women Voters

A blatant appeal to feminist sexism here by Palin to chase women votes, i.e. vote for me because I am the woman candidate you wanted (forget everything else)! It was disgusting when Hillary played it, but now Palin does likewise. There is some truth to what she says, but her blatant flattery (which the Bible condemns as hypocrisy) of Hillary is dishonest (and she gets called on it in this clip). The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips--Ps. 12:3 ...including Palin's. Clearly the purpose here is to 1) preempt speculation that Biden will be swapped for Hillary after a reported meeting with Bill Clinton, and 2) to go after the embittered Hillary supporters who vowed to not support Obama. Palin here is trying to pick off the most vulnerable of the Democratic flock. Seriously now, does the GOP and republicans agree with her praises of Hillary? Let's hear now if Sean Hannity or Rush Limbaugh or Bill O'Reilly agree with her--if they dare!

If anyone wants to stop the entire phony "war on terrorism", retrieve our liberties and restore Constitutional government, and rein in big government spending (including for unjust wars)--which causes inflation thru dollar devaluation-- the only choice is to vote third party. If everyone voted their conscience, refusing to be bullied into supporting the major two parties, change could then happen. The media drives everyone to support either R or D, so nothing ever changes. Obama openly stated he is for the "war on terrorism", in Afghanistan, and even to attack within Pakistan, like Bush and McCain. Pray tell, what is the difference and "change" then!

In regards to oil drilling in Alaska: Sen. McCain opposes ANWR drilling. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal in June, Gov. Palin said that when she met with Sen. McCain at a governor's conference in Washington, they discussed energy but parted company on the issue of drilling in ANWR, which he has opposed. And in regard to her position on a social issue: she supports abstinence-until-marriage programs, where teens are taught to refrain from sex until marriage and contraception is discussed only to explain its failings. ....."Christian conservatives" should see she did not do a very good job in her own family on that issue (i.e. Bristol's pregnancy and open under-age drinking), instead of giving her blind praise.

Why McCain Picked Palin: Not Too Conservative

She had a reputation as a reformer in Alaska, she hunted and fished, and she had once belonged to a union. Just as crucial, Ms. Palin, 44, was beloved by the party’s religious base but did not come off as shrill. “She’s conservative,” Mr. Black said, “but she’s not an ideologue.”

Palin Pledges Allegiance to AIPAC--Stamped "Approved"
blueridge

From "Alaska First", and by-passing "America First", Palin goes straight to "Israel First". By consequence and definition then she can no longer be considered a "reformer". Like McCain, Obama, Pelosi, Hillary, and every other former 2008 candidate, the ultimate test of worthiness is not the American people but to the overbearing Lobby of a foreign government that sets the course of foreign policy in alliance with the neoconservatives--ensuring a continuance of the phony "war on terrorism"--to "make the world safe for Democracy" through wars for "regime change". How quickly Washington transforms everyone, even from the remotest states, by coercing conformity to global democratic agenda and blind allegiance to Israel through the muscle of The Lobby. This trumps all other considerations, is the hallmark of foreign policy (and why wars never cease), which also in turn has consequences on the economy (high gas prices, national debt, value of money) and domestic policy as well.

Berg argues that Barack Obama was born in Kenya in 1961 to an American woman, Stanley Ann Dunham, and a Kenyan man, Barack Hussein Obama Senior, as reportedly shown by a birth certificate from Mombasa Maternity Hospital. According to the law at that time, a parent could pass US citizenship on to a child born abroad if the parent was at least 19 years old. Obama's mother was only 18. Obama's Foreign Policy Goes Neocon--Unjust Wars Will Continue

The real Obama policy. Must see video interview (at link) where Obama 1) legitimizes the "war on terrorism" (as necessary and true war); 2) escalate war in Afghanistan (regime change, like Iraq continues); 3) willing to attack targets inside Pakistan--i.e. invade any sovereign country to kill and destroy alleged 'terrorists' (think collateral damage on civilians or wrongly accused from missiles and UAV drones). Watch the interview, Obama does not answer one "why?" question of Lara Logan about the "necessity" of the "war on terrorism", he simply dodges and assumes its legitimacy without reason or debate. UNJUST WAR is the problem here. Where is the protest? The "war on terrorism" is not a true or legal constitutional war, and enabling Obama to do the same as Bush without criticism is hypocritical and partisan blindness. It has always been the goal to finish Iraq and legitimize and spread the war on terrorism. Note the media: War = Patriotism

McCain gets to publicly show that he is not averse to (so-called) Christian political churches, which he has criticized in past. 3. Rick Warren, Mr. Hireling and his "Purpose Driven Church"(merchandisers), gets to increase his publicity and no doubt a huge intake of "tithes and offerings" (and 5013c IRS laws will not prevent, since it is bipartisan) for his corrupt church, which Jesus and the apostles would not recognize any more than a Roman Catholic Mass. The annual Bilderberg Conference was 3 miles away from Dulles in Chantilly, VA. How convenient! And the article goes on to talk of Feinstein's much publicized alibi about meeting in her home (but not the entire time). Of course attending publicly would paint a "global elite" label on both of them. (Both of them are in fact members of the Council on Foreign Relations). Then look at his list of neoconservative advisers, particularly William Kristol (who led the Project for New American Century and their blueprint for a "new middle east") and former CIA director James Woolsey, whom former Colin Powell chief of Staff Wilkerson calls "scary". Note his plan for a "League of Democracies" (this is the global plan for PAX AMERICANA, per Clarence K.
