Hospital Has More Sense Than Mother

I can only add my thank God to that of countless others. The hospital is apparently not going to release the octuplets to their mother until or unless she proves that she can take care of them.

Christ's Siblings

by blakelylaw  1-22-2009
This recent discussion in About.com fascinated me. I had always heard mention that Christ had at least one brother, but, being a Catholic, never did understand the derivation of this. This explanation from the Eastern rites, dovetails very nicely with what Catholics already believe.

Good for the Bus Driver!

You know, if an atheist had been forced to drive a bus with a "There Is a God" slogan, it would have been deemed discrimination.

Have a kleenex ready before you read the full article. Then ask yourself why we never heard about this in the media when the incident actually happened almost a year ago. And, yes, that is a rhetorical question.

Sad Commentary on the Human Condition & the Emasculation of Men

I absolutely agree with almost all of the comments. And what are the young men of tomorrow going to be like if all they see is adult men keeping their distance.

I'm not a Mormon, but truly admire much of their lifestyle. How much better would all of our families be if we adopted some of their practices.

"Data Is Dated"
blakelylaw
by blakelylaw  12-14-2008
This is one of the saddest things I've read about the shape of our society. I was one of those girls who was never asked on a date in high school (way before anyone ever heard of "hooking up.") But to think that a whole generation doesn't understand or know how to simply get to know a person without sex is incredibly sad. And I know this is going to draw howls of protest, but we can thank feminism for this.
