POPSWhy hate Gore? Granted, giving Gore the Nobel Prize may well be a political stunt somewhat out of proportion with the relevance of his actions. On the other hand humorless extreme conservatives have even more distorted notion of Gore. Their obsessive hatred of him is even more surreal than the hype. Why do they care so much about him? Why froth at the mouth over just one politician? Klugman provides some interesting answers, but also seems a little to simplistic. I have long been puzzeled on the vhemence with which conservatives react against environmentalism, and I don't think its as simple as pure greed.

So, having been informed by management that my pops for other clippers has been limited, I decided to find out why. It seems that I have been "dominating the site" and having a "disproportionate affect" on it. Since I really have no other choice in the matter, I decided to play along. POPSTake responsibility for your words Interesting blog entry on using non-offensive language. I recommend that interested Clippers read the entire entry. I found it thought provoking, especially the part about "gay" and "retarded" being lazy adjectives. Why use them except to be insulting? Why are those words used as insults? It seems strange to me that some people wouldn't dream of using "gay" as an insult but feel free to use "retarded" as a synonym for "stupid."

POPSTime to scrub the scum from the bottom of the barrel Normally I don't make clips of other clippers, especially the ignorant, abusive or stupid, but considering that we have had 7 long years of this filth, it is time we stood up and said: SHOVE IT! Just because you have no self-respect doesn't mean we have to put up with your stupidity. I now expect more of this coming from the viral elements of American society. POPSClipmarks: NO REASON AT ALL NEEDED TO DELETE COMMENTS This was the thread that led to my asking Clipmarks for clarification on their comment deletion policy. It's official. {{Antara}}, and any clipper, is allowed to delete any comment on clips they initiate, for any reason or none at all. I personally maintain a "No personal attacks against other clippers" policy as my only reason for censoring comments. But if I just don't like you, your politics, your hair-color, your religion, your ethnicity, sexual orientation, your city of birth, the facts you offer... I can delete your comments, no consequences. The deletion pop-up reads Please only remove comments that appear to be spam or that you believe to be unquestionably outside the bounds of civility. But that's only a suggestion. I think this will lead to less discussion and a even more negativity and hostility between clippers, and I do hope Clipmarks reconsiders.

POPSEwwwww, sorry, but I'll pass... I haven't had a full blown cold in 4 years, ever since I swore off the flu shots and religiously started using Zicam and vitamin D. As long as I start with the zinc therapy & mega-dose D within the first day or two of symptoms. But, if I DO get a cold, sorry, I'm going to blow my nose versus letting it flow down my face.

POPSI Took The First Step Life is way too short for those who thrive on negativity or trolls here on CM. I've had my fill of those who make snide personal remarks, and I intend to not try to reason with those whose minds are already full of hate and bitterness. They have their followers. What I'm interested in doing is putting out the message to people who aren't so rigid and who are interested in actually learning. That is what I believe CM is all about. :)

The free market never does anything right, does it? If you have to pay $500.00 for a 200.00 airline ticket...thank a union member. If you are stuck in traffic for 2 hours in what should be a 45 minute commute because there is a road project that has taken 3 years and still is not completed, which should have taken 4 or 5 months...Thank a Union member. If you find the productive traditions of your nation being sucked away by third-world countries, because the cost of paying someone 28 dollars an hour to glue a sticker on an automobile - plus another 40 dollars an hour cost to the company, blame a union member. If your country is being ransacked by fascist thugs and greedy materialists who care not one iota for a particular company, just whatever they can control or steal...thank a union member. If state funds are depleted because trade shops keep their members on unemployment for 40% of the year, which results in staggering costs to taxpayers, then thank a union member.
