POPSKick-ass little camcorder I bought one of these, then found out that they were $99 only two days earlier. Its a greta little KISS device, and since it uses two AA batteries and has a USB connector built in, theres no crap to have to carry around. Not for making movies, but GREAT for catching quick vids of the kids if you don't have a 640x480 24fps camera built into your cellphone.

POPSThe only thing that matters is the price of gas This graph really does tell it all... the reason Clinton was so popular was because gas was cheap while he was President, and Bush is unpopular because gas costs more. (This graph doesn't plot gas price vs Clinton popularity - but I'd like to see that one, too)

POPSTemporary paint for cars This is too cool. Duplicolor has made spray-paint that washes off with soap and water or a pressure washer and leaves no residue or damage to your nice paint. They suggest prepping for sporting events and such. I'm thinking about the Cannonball Run movie, where the Countach runs from the cops, then gets its white paint washed off and goes back out as a red car to do the same thing. Might take a lot of this paint, but wouldn't it be cool to drive the "getaway" car through a car wash and be unidentifiable?

POPSA Master and his work If you're between the ages of 45 and 35, you've got to know how funny these Mel Brooks movies are. Here's Blazing Saddles, High Anxiety, History of the World, Robin Hood:Men in Tights, Silent Movie, Young Fankenstein, and The Twelve Chairs (??) in one box for less than 75 bucks at DeepDiscountDVD. Awesome. Gotta get it!

POPSProgrammable soda? Get the soda, press the button combination on the side to produce the particular taste you want and voila! 32 combinations of sodas in one bottle. Cool! Now if they let you make your soda with less sweetener...

POPSMini Media Center PC Okay, so $1400 is a little pricey, but its so tiny and cool for a MCPC. A better version is just around the corner.

POPSRiya - free facial and text recognition search of your photos I haven't tried it yet, but sounds too cool! Register, upload your photos, train the system, and from then on you can search for specific people and/or text within your or everyone's photos. Get all your friends and family to upload their pix and then search them for yourself. You might be surprised at how many bad pictures of yourself are out there!

POPSClear cases for PS2 slim I bought a clear Xbox case from these guys a while back and it works great. Now they've got the same for PS2 - in clear and in colored clear. (Also have mods to play "backups"). They're cutting their prices because of the shift to 360/PS3. Good time to buy if you like to have cool gadgets.

POPSLike your drinks sickeningly sweet? So Pepsi realized they had one soft drink that wasn't sickeningly sweet and decided to remedy the situation by pumping up the sweeteners in it. I hate it and this guy does too. He has a petition to let Pepsi know if you agree that we need a drink without all the gross oversweetness.

POPSKeep your nose clean! I came to Hollywood to be a star, and I end up on a website rinsing my nose out with salt water from a little jug. Dang.

POPSGreat new ride-on car for kids I've got a 6 year old and a four year old and a 2 year old niece. I think they'd all like this car. It goes by wiggling the steering wheel and has room to use feet when they want to. No batteries required.

POPSFINALLY! A digital camera with a lens that can take wideangle pictures! Why the heck have these camera makers be so determined to make cameras that can zoom farther than any other, when 90% of the time we're wanting to take pictures of friends and family?!? When you're in a roomfull of people and you want to get a snap of a large portion of the crowd you need a WIDE lens, not a zoom lens. Thank you, Kodak.

POPSTny homes - revert too the basics and be happier This is a great concept - build the MINIMUM house you need to live in. I think they're cute and could be great for those without kids or those in college. Personally, I would design one with a more contemporary look and much more built-in storage and gadgets... I let you know when I've perfected this idea (hah hah).
