POPSNeat tricks to teach your body Some little-known practical tips about your body, such as: If your throat tickles, scratch your ear. If your hand falls asleep, rock your head from side to side - etc.

POPSEgos on the web (Guardian) This piece struck me, not least because of the many altercations which take place here on Clipmarks. When you write for the web, you open yourself up to breathtakingly vicious vitriol. People wish things on your mother, simply for bearing you, that you wouldn't wish on Hitler. Humorous but with a hint of truth?

POPSIs the Internet just a place to argue? I didn't make this post but it did make me think. I do wonder, sometimes, if some people just use the Internet to fight with other people. I've seen some banal arguments in my time, it has to be said. (LJ stands for livejournal by the way.)

POPS'Friends only' clips I think this might have been suggested before but it may also have got lost in another suggestion. Would it be possible to have a middle ground between public and private clips. For example, clips which are only viewable to people you have 'friended'? I have often wanted to post something more personal for people I know well to see, but I don't want it on the web for all the world to see. So being able to select who sees it and who doesn't would be great. (By the way, just tell me when you want me to quit with the suggestions already - I realise that it might get annoying after a while! :))

POPS'Many Oppose Death Penalty for Hussein' (NYT) I was wondering when this debate was going to start (i.e., the elected leaders stating their opinion). I'm glad it has - I think it's important for such an important trial and verdict to be discussed.

POPSWhat a photograph! And Snopes says that it's real too (although the circulated description of it was inaccurate).

POPSHappy, happy Holidays! (Do you like my very elaborate image!) I hope you all have a lovely break over the holidays, however you celebrate it. England is covered in a layer of fog at the moment, and a large number of flights have been cancelled, so I'm crossing my fingers that I'm going to be able to fly home to my family on Christmas eve. Erk! My absence on Clipmarks is due to the enormous amount of work I've been doing lately. I'm very pleased with myself and I've actually made a lot of progress; there's always room for more, though! Take care all, and enjoy yourselves! anon x

POPS"All Muslimed Out" (Guardian) This clip follows on from something I was suggesting to Godfrey recently, but is interesting in its own right. I'm glad that Muslims are finally standing up (somewhere) and saying, 'Right, enough already. We never asked for this scrutiny and examination.'

POPSEnable edit of actual clip Sometimes when you're clipping something, it's annoying to see all the extra links/ pictures/ bits and pieces on the web page being clipped also, and it makes the clip harder for other people to read. So, would it be possible to delete those things before the clip is posted? I know that that would mean that the actual clip itself could be questionable (if it can be manipulated, then why not just change the whole thing, I suppose) but perhaps there could be a middle ground?
