POPSThe Killers - Sam's Town I finally managed to get my hands on this album last week - I've been looking forward to it for months - and I was rather dissappointed to begin with, alas. The Killers just seemed to have lost some of their sound somewhere along the way. However, I'm just giving it about the sixth listen now and it's growing on me for sure. It's probably not as good as Hot Fuss (their first album) but I think it could be a very good follow-up album.

POPSBig Love - HBO I was reminded of 'Big Love' when I was clipping about Deadwood (both HBO) and I wondered if many of you had watched it. My housemate and I got really into it, although it's pretty stressful TV, and are looking forward to more of it. It also increased my morbid fascination with the LDS church and polygamy. I can't say I'm too fond of the notion of either.

POPSDeadwood - HBO I'm way behind on this show, but I just started watching DVDs of it at the weekend. It took me a while to get into it, mostly because it's very hard to understand the dialogue, but I think it's really good. Three seasons have been filimed/ shown I think, but it's been cancelled now. Still, though, I'm going to enjoy the three seasons. :)

POPSNew Doctor Who companion Interesting. I'd first heard that it was that awful Rachel Stevens from the pop group Steps, so I'm happy with anyone else really.
