Really, REALLY nice music by H2O (Federico Chieli)

Lots of classical, orchestra, jazzy, etc. Very versatile and plenty of melodies. Shame the site isn't very descriptive. Right-click on a piece in the player to download it.

Video game music tribute to Kraftwerk
    Torley
    by Torley  2-18-2007
Lo-tek meets... even lower-tek! The 80s meet the 70s in this delightful spanning of electronic music eras. A number of familiar Kraftwerk tunes are represented here, from my fave "Computer World", to a boppin', bouncy cover of "Radioactivity". Check out the embedded Flash player with samples.

    The Happy Electropop Music Machine!
    Torley
    by Torley  2-3-2007
An apt name for a fun album — these are some of the catchiest melodies I've ever heard, with oodles of good vibes founded on unwarily complex arrangements. The cover art cracks me up so much — Jean-Jacques Perrey teamed up with Gershon Kingsley (composer of the famed "Popcorn") for a number of pioneering electronic hits, and he's still making music in his advanced years, now joined by Dana Countryman.

If you're looking for music to cheer you up, you gotta check Perfume out — it doesn't get happier than their particular brand of saccharine (I mean this in the best of ways), bouncy pop! Danceable tunes with fun music videos, they'll have you boppin'. :)

Ishkur's Guide to Electronic Music v2!
    Torley
    by Torley  1-13-2007
Don't know the difference between ambient and trip-hop? Breakcore and breakbeat? Have a look — and a listen! — to this guide. It hasn't been updated in 3 years, but to this day, a more comprehensive guide to the many heads of the electronic music hydra doesn't exist. Loads of fun!
