POPSCute eyeless computer characters doing parkour In "Teo & Tea" by Jean Michel Jarre, a couple with no apparent eyesight do parkour through a colorful cityscape that throbs in time with the music. Watch closely as they leap chasms between buildings, stare at each other (despite said lack of eyes), and their dance together at the end is SOOOO romantic. <3

POPSThe process of creating a computer art masterpiece Not literally, but figuratively: so often there are great works of art which astound, but most people don't know the laborious process that goes into making them, one step after another. This is one of many great threads at CGSociety, showing how it's done. I have even more appreciation for the artist, Alexander Preuss, after seeing his masterstrokes are carried out.

POPSBeyond the Mind's Eye - classic computer graphics Things have come a long way since this was made. If you saw this the first time around, you'll feel pangs of nostalgia like I am! Really gorgeous. There's also a clip of "Seeds of LIfe", another great track, on the page. You can see the full version of this video here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=YT7W7hBj31c Trivia: the composer is Jan Hammer, he of Miami Vice fame!

POPSDarkseed - and more recorded Amiga games This game freaked me out when I was younger — the graphics are so terrifying, without being overly gory. Great use of the 32-color palette too. The link is to an archive of recorded Amiga games, played from start to finish. Useful to live through someone else's eyes, if you ever wanted to beat of these but never got the chance (like me).
