About me
Born in the wrong country. Immigrated to the USA. Now live in the right one with wife and 2 kids. During the day I play computer/internet developer/consultant role for various companies. Once in a while I remember my first love - music and get my drumsticks out.

Extremely well done... too bad all of it is in the past, but still shows that there's nobody that can match this... in the world.

Neil Aspinall has died (Beatles & fans mourn)
RecordSage
by RecordSage  4-17-2008
Very sad occasion. A friend of the Beatles from the beginning and the Apple Corp. President for many years. I've heard the name before, but didn't grasp the importance of him when it comes to the Beatles until I saw the Beatles Anthology. A most humble, clearly brilliant individual. A very sad moment...

four80east - Canadian superstars (jazz)
RecordSage
by RecordSage  8-5-2007
For anyone who's into contemporary jazz. This is an excellent CD from a band from Canada. Their last one was released 5 long years ago and it was very good, as well as their debut. If you like modern jazz - get it - you won't be sorry. Another big thumbs up for the Canadians.

In the old day one could put a pair of sticks in one's back pocket... now the whole set could go along with the sticks. Very cool! (if you're a drummer, that is)

4 Godfrey - Urbanator's Chameleon
RecordSage
by RecordSage  1-23-2007
A very worthy remake of Herbie Hancock's Chameleon. Godfrey, since you're into musical redos - I thought you might enjoy this one. Their first CD also features Watermelon Man, not as strikingly done as this one, but not bad at all. In fact, I'd recommend getting the CD if you like this tune. btw, it's Herbie himself on the keys here.

James Brown is Dead - His Music Will Be Timeless!
RecordSage
by RecordSage  12-26-2006
I've been a huge fan of his since my childhood. The only tune I heard until we came to the USA was mono version of "There It Is" and that was more than enough to totally and fully fall in love with his music. In the States I was lucky enough to see him in concert. He's certainly going to be missed :(

LOVE - BEATLES - Global Listening Event
RecordSage
by RecordSage  11-17-2006
You can listen to some stuff from upcoming Love CD. I'll bet ANY amount of money that it'll reach #1 on the day it comes out (Nov. 21). It's amazing to listen to how they re-fused the old stuff to make new. John & George would be proud, and Paul & Ringo seem to be as well. George & Giles Martin orchestrated the development - best people in world to do so. SUPER EXCITED HERE!!! BEATLES!!! WOW!!!

David 'fingers' Haynes shines with his... fingers
RecordSage
by RecordSage  11-1-2006
Some drummers are talented and considered to do extraordinary things with their hands. This guy is just as talented (on the drum spectrum), and I don't know how well he plays with sticks, but he sure does a phenomenal job with just his fingers. See/hear what would be impossible for most people.
