POPSCambridg Cop arrest Henry Louis Gates yet again! Ok at first I thought it was wrong for the President to use words like stupid. Now I have to say this police officer is stupid! He arrested the same guy in just a matter of days for just being there! Everyone knew Gates had an appointment with the President. This actually bugs the crap out of me.

POPSBush's laws undone It looks to me like President Obama is allowing the states to rule themselves once again. What are your thoughts.

POPSOur contact with the President So here is the Office of Public Liaison that President Obama told us we could drop him a line at. I have not as yet done it but I thought I would clip it so I would remember to when I had something to say. Anyone else out there have something they want to tell our government?

POPSSocial media helps people in the horrible bushfires in Australia One of the great things about the world wide web when something horrible like this happens help can come allot faster. Strangers from all over can reach out to help in moments after they hear what happened. Thank goodness for the internet and may the Universe look after the survivors of this tragedy and God bless the lost souls.

POPSSay What? As a disabled person myself quit frankly having a gun thats easy to handle wont make me feel better. With all the medications most of us have to take I am not sure having a gun is a good thing. On the tags here I wrote disabled and gun sheese that has to be some sort of oxymoron.

POPSWriters really spoof it up. but wouldn't it cool if this was true? Hundreds of independent writers, artists, and activists are claiming credit for an elaborate project, 6 months in the making, in which 1.2 million copies of a "special edition" of the New York Times were distributed in cities across the U.S. by thousands of volunteers. The papers, dated July 4th of next year, were headlined with long-awaited news: "IRAQ WAR ENDS". The edition, which bears the same look and feel as the real deal, includes stories describing what the future could hold: national health care, the abolition of corporate lobbying, a maximum wage for CEOs, etc. There was also a spoof site, at http://www.nytimes-se.com/.

POPSLet's take a breath and acknowledge this moment in our country! Whomever we voted for or whatever we think about our new President we cant deny this historical moment. No more will I listen to a child say they cant. I wont want to hear it. This moment in time is one of the reason I love our country. Anything is possible. Its time to put the negative talk aside and unite our country and move forward with President Elect Barack Obama. Who would have thought we would ever be saying that. What a moment!

POPSThe New Yorker does me proud again What I like about the New Yorker is it leaves off the spin. You don't have to agree with it but at least you don't walk away feeling like you just walked into a manure field.

POPSWhat a big company! What a big endorsement! Guess I am behind the times. I had no idea that Eric Schmidt endorsed Obama. Guess some big companies along with a great military man like Colonel Powell doesn't think Obama is a socialist. Hmmm These are men who love their country and really know how to use their whole brain power. Perhaps we should pay attention.

POPSThe fight for the White House in Florida I read the Miami Herald this morning. Here is a comment from someone who lives there. I thought the commenter made some very valid points so I am sharing. Of course he rather jumped the gun on calling Obama president but its how he felt.

POPSIs this a valid health care plan? I have read through this plan and it "Sounds good". There are some area's in it that are not clear to me. Please give it a read and let me know what you think. Is this something we should have nation wide?

POPSWe all do silly things sometimes I think this story shows we all have a Homer Simpson "Dooh!" day once in a while. The poor chap just didn't know any other number like a traffic control number or 411 to get a traffic control number.
