POPSTwitterment Twitterment seems to be a cool site that gives you something like a "term cloud" of twitter posts.

POPSSome of my Twitter posts So after watching Jericho, I had some feelings that I thought I'd express. I could've posted a blog entry with my thoughts, but I didn't want to compose a whole essay about my feelings. I really just wanted to blow off a little bit of steam by posting a couple of quick messages. So I expressed myself through Twitter. I also clipped the posts to commemorate the moment.

POPSTwitter posts now link to users you address So this is something that i noticed just a couple of minutes ago. You see down there in the bottom of that Twitter post? It reads, " in reply to BryanAlexander." It appears to me that when you address your post at a particular user by following the convention <@username> the Twitter website will link to that user's Twitter timeline on the website. I think this is pretty neat and right on time.

POPSObama's Twitter Friend Count
So I'm interested to see how the '08 US presidential campaigns play out on Twitter. I figured I'd take snapshots of how many Twitter profiles each candidate befriends. I'll also capture how many people follow the candidates' profiles. I guess the trend I want to figure out is how each of the candidates manage which profiles they befriend. Early on, I befriended and was befriended by John Edwards' Twitter profile. I befriended and was befriended by Barack Obama's Twitter profile shortly before the first Democratic Presidential Debate. My Twitter posts were a little more tame then, so I'm also curious to see how befriended profiles are monitored, if in fact they are. Will friends be dropped depending on how well they represent the candidate's characteristics? Are the Twitter friends even monitored? What's the real point in using Twitter other than a little extra exposure? If you know of any other candidates that are on Twitter, let me know and I'll track them too.

POPSMost Favorited Twitters are in Asia This is a follow-up to one of my previous clips that talked about the Like or Dislike buttons you find in tweet bubbles on Twittermap and Twittervision . Turns out that they're keeping score and you can find most favorited and least favorited tweets at Twittervision.com. Just a brief look at the most favorited tweets appears to show that Asia is in the lead. Of course, there'd be plenty of factors into why it is this way, but I think the culmination of all those facts leading to this current truth is interesting in itself.

POPSfunny conclusion to a great article So the article is really about Kory Mohr's vision of a city-wide free wi-fi service. It's a good read. I've bee following Kory on Twitter for a while and am hoping to meet him for lunch one day. After reading this article, I have better context concerning one of his passions. Very cool.

POPSBlogs are dieing I totally agree with Carsten. I haven't been blogging as much. Not that what I say is very important. But honestly, blogging isn't all there is to being on the internet. Feeds are king - not blogs.
