POPSIs atheism a belief? A refresher. The bottom line is that regardless of what magical sky fairy you do or do not believe in, there is ample evidence to indicate there are basic moral guidelines that all humans have an instinctive nature to follow. The most obvious involves avoiding unnecessary harm to other creatures. By doing so, we reduce the likelihood of unnecessary harm being inflicted upon ourselves, and you don't need to believe in god to recognize that pain and discomfort is something worth avoiding wherever possible. POPSFFRF puts up first ever Nontheistic Billboard Man would those cause a stink in my home town! When the only Sex store opened up here the entire city went on red alert. Lawfully they couldn't stop it, but they did modify the laws and zoning so that no other Sex store could open. Meanwhile Cash Advance, churches, and homeopathy drug stores abound!

POPSMilitary probes atheist GI harrassment claim From the article : Hall said that his free speech and religious rights were violated a year ago when he sat down with soldiers to eat a Thanksgiving holiday dinner. When asked to join hands and pray, Hall declined, but sat as the other soldiers prayed over the food. A sergeant asked why he would not pray and Hall told him he was an atheist, meaning he does not believe in God. The sergeant demanded that Hall move to another table and not sit with the other soldiers. Hall said he stayed and ate without speaking to the others.

The way the questions are asked can greatly influence the outcome of a survey and the number of non believers actually runs around 25% rather than the often stated 9%

POPSChristianity's crumbling foundation The bible, the source of Christian religion, is such a corrupted and edited book. It really brings home the fact that people believe because they want to believe, not because they have any real solid foundation to their faith.
