Waarschijnlijk wel, want de media besteden er buiten proportie aandacht aan: in Koppen, in de kranten, deze week zelfs in de damesbladen ("Mode in SL"). Een overdreven aandacht waar wij bij ONE Agency niet noodzakelijk gelukkig mee zijn. SL en andere virtuele werelden staan helemaal aan het begin van hun potentieel. Als je vandaag kosten tegen baten afzet, dan is er geen ROI, tenzij de PR die je kan krijgen als de media er op springen (wat ze gretig doen): na de lancering van Vista in SL stond dit in meer blogs dan dat er bezoekers waren tijdens de lancering. Goede PR dus. SL is vooral interessant omdat het toont hoe social networking er anders, echter, emotioneler kan uitzien in de toekomst. Of die toekomst een plaats heeft voor Linden Lab is onduidelijk. Maar dat ze die mee zullen hebben vormgegeven is wel duidelijk. Jo C.
